BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 18th JANUARY 2026 SOWING TO PLEASE THE SPIRIT Galatians 6:8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. (NIV) Sowing to please the Spirit simply means doing things to please the Spirit, that is, following His leading; doing God's Word.  When one do things to please the flesh; follow mere natural instincts and desires of the flesh it results in death; failure, defeat and damnation. But sowing to please the Spirit is eternal life.  When it says "whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life" it does not mean he will receive eternal life because he already has it. It means he will live in God's presence eternally (hereafter).  When it has to do with sowing by the spirit or spiritually it really has to do with words. Words are seeds. Here, two source of words matters; words from you and ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 17th JANUARY 2026 HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT James 4:6 But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: "God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble." (NIV) Grace is a supernatural enablement or endowment which gives us the advantage in every situation or circumstance. When we are faced with a tough situation or circumstance God gives us more grace; more supernatural enablement or endowment to give us the advantage in and over that situation. This simply means the tougher things get for us the greater is our grace.  God may not take away every daulting challenge you face but will always give you the sufficient grace to go through it.  2 Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. This grace (supernatural enablement) is more visible ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 16th JANUARY 2026 FAITH AND ACTION WORKS TOGETHER James 2:21-22 Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. (NIV) True faith is action. Faith is not mere mental assent but a conviction of the spirit that propels one to action. Faith is a force which condition your spirit to act in line with the Word.  Abraham's faith was credited to him as righteousness based on what he did, not based merely on what he heard and assented. If you heard the Word and believe you won't get the results just by that. You will have to act on the Word. It is when the Word you heard become action that you get the reward of faith.  Faith and action works together to produce result. The first working of faith is talking the Word you heard and believed. But that's just the begi...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 15th JANUARY 2026 ETERNAL KING; ETERNAL PRIEST Revelation 1:6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. (KJV) The Lord Jesus actually made us kings and priests unto God and His Father, and we are because He is our head. We are the reflection and expression of who He is. And that includes being King and Priest.  Jesus is an eternal King-Priest in the order of Melchizedek. And we are in the order of Jesus.   Hebrews 7:1,3,17,24 This Melchizedek was king of Salem and priest of God Most High. He met Abraham returning from the defeat of the kings and blessed him, ...Without father or mother, without genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, resembling the Son of God, he remains a priest forever. For it is declared: "You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek." but because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. Jesus i...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 14th JANUARY 2026 BE SERIOUS, INTENTIONAL AND CONSISTENT 1 Corinthians 9:24-25 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. (NIV) If you will win in life you must apply this above scripture. When athletes compete it is only one person who comes out the winner. For anyone to win he must go into strict training. In your dealings in life you must be strict; serious, intentional and consistent. First, with the Gospel. Your attitude towards the propagation of the Gospel matters a lot. It is not enough to be interested or even have the desire to further the Gospel, you must also be serious, intentional and consistent about it.   1 Corinthians 9:24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run,...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 13th JANUARY 2026 DON'T BE SUBJECT TO EVIL RULES Colossians 2:22 These rules, which have to do with things that are all destined to perish with use, are based on merely human commands and teachings. (NIV) There are people who believe that if you wash your hands with warm water money would no longer stay in your hands. Among different tribes, ethnics and people you would find many human rules, commands and teachings that sound true but are not true at all. Don't be subject to such rules. The Bible says "They are based on merely human commands and teachings." Don't live your life in subjection to the rules and rudiments of men. They may appear to be true or wise but they make one slave and unproductive. Don't find yourself running your life under the teachings or principles lay down by mere men; they are actually evil rules.  Such rules and regulations may have appearance of wisdom. But it's not. Colossi...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 12th JANUARY 2026 CREDITED TO YOUR ACCOUNT Philippians 4:17 Not that I desire your gifts; what I desire is that more be credited to your account. (NIV) The Apostle Paul said to the church at Philipi, "not that I desire your gifts; what I desire is that more be credited to your account." Their givings were being credited to their heavenly accounts. Each one of them had an account in heaven. And we too have.  When the topic of supporting the cause of the Gospel financially and materially comes up some people tend to be uncomfortable and uninterested but it is for our advantage individually. That's why Paul said to the Brethren "not that I desire your gifts; what I desire is that more be credited to your account." In other words he meant "it's not about me, it is about depositing funds into your heavenly account so that you don't get broke when you get there." Matthew 6:19-21 "Do not stor...
