When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory." (NIV) Notice the order of these verses. You died. Your life was buried with Christ. But the grave did not keep you — your new life was raised with Him and is now hidden with Christ in God. That hiddenness is not obscurity; it is protection. While the world measures you by works, circumstances, and man's opinions, your true self is concealed in the safest place in all existence: the heart of God Himself. And then Paul delivers the most staggering truth in all Scripture: Christ is your life. Not a gift you carry, not a virtue you maintain, not a relationship you manage — He is the very life you live.   BREAKFAST WITH JESUS Daily devotional Pastor Stanley 26th SEPTEMBER 2026   SET YOUR HEARTS ON THINGS ABOVE   Colossians 3:1-2 "Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things." (NIV)   Paul does not say "set your hearts on things above if you have been raised with Christ." He says "since, then" — because it is already true. Your old position in Adam was buried with Christ; your new life was raised and seated in heavenly places. What the Spirit has established in you, your heart must now mirror.   This is where the New Creation lives: not striving to become holy, but abiding in what you already are. Sin, negative circumstance, and failure are foreign to your spirit — they do not belong to your origin, and they do not have to occupy your thoughts. But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high." — Psalms 3:2–3 (NIV)   Beloved, notice the contrast in this passage. There is the voice of the enemy, the voice of the world, and even the voice of the doubting mind, all saying the same thing: "He is finished. He has no way out. God will not deliver him."   It is a powerful lie, but it is still a lie. And the reason it is a lie is that it operates from the perspective of the natural, weak, exposed self. It looks at the branch and forgets the Vine. It looks at the soldier and forgets the Commander.   But then comes the declaration of the New Creation: "But you, LORD..." And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." — Galatians 2:20 (NIV)   Beloved, Paul did not write this as a religious slogan. He wrote it as a settled fact — a declaration of who he really is in Christ. And it belongs to everyone that has been born again. Read the three tenses carefully, and let the Holy Spirit reveal their depth: "I am crucified with Christ" (past). The old man — that weak, fearful, performance-driven identity — is not just improved. It is dead. Buried. Finished. Whatever the old self was struggling with, it is no longer in charge. "It is no longer I who live" (present). Here is the pivot. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." — John 15:5 (NIV) Beloved, to belong to Christ is to know your true identity. In the world, people look for belonging in relationships, institutions, or achievements, hoping that these will give them a sense of worth and security. But the New Creation was born into a completely different reality. In this beautiful picture, Jesus does not say, "I am the manager and you are the employees" or "I am the boss and you are the workers." He says, "I am the vine; you are the branches." Belonging to Christ means you are organically connected to Him. A branch has no independent source of life; it does not have to strive to manufacture its own sustenance. BREAKFAST WITH JESUS Daily devotional Pastor Stanley 22nd SEPTEMBER 2026   BEAR FRUIT FOR GOD   "So, my brothers and sisters, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God." — Romans 7:4 (NIV)   Beloved, notice the beautiful sequence in this verse. It does not begin with striving. It does not begin with effort. It begins with a death — and a belonging.   First, death. The law once had a claim on you. It said: "Do this, achieve that, be perfect, or face judgment." But through the body of Christ, you died to those rules. The old transaction of earning your standing before God is finished. What is dead cannot be resurrected into obligation — grace has buried it.   Second, belonging. "That you might belong to another." Your identity is no longer rooted in performance.   BREAKFAST WITH JESUS Daily devotional Pastor Stanley 21st SEPTEMBER 2026   BELIEVE IN YOUR PROPHETS   "...Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper." 2 Chronicles 20:20 (KJV)   Jehoshaphat stood before Judah at the brink of battle and gave them a two-fold key to victory. First, "Believe in the LORD your God"—this brings establishment. Your foundation is secured when you trust God's character and power. But he did not stop there. He added, "Believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper." Establishment is one thing; prosperity is another. God's prophetic word releases the strategy that turns survival into success.   Prophets are not fortune-tellers; they are God's mouthpieces who reveal His mind for your situation.
