BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 3rd JUNE 2026 THOSE WITH US 2 Kings 6:16 "Don’t be afraid," the prophet answered. "Those who are with us are more than those who are with them." (NIV) The king of Aram sent army to get Elisha the Man of God because time after time he revealed to the king of Israel the plans and strategies he made to attack the Israelites. When the army got to where Elisha was they surrounded the whole place. His servant woke up early in the morning and found out that they were surrounded by soldiers. In fear he cried out to the Man of God "what shall we do?"  Let us read, 2 Kings 6:14-17 Then he sent horses and chariots and a strong force there. They went by night and surrounded the city. When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. "Oh no, my lord! What shall we do?" the servant asked. "Don’t be afraid," the...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 2nd JUNE 2026 BORN FOR A TIME AS THIS Esther 4:14 For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?" (NIV) Esther became queen at a time when the Jews were in exile in the Citadel of Susa. She was an orphan brought up by Modecai. After she became queen of the Citadel of Susa, Haman the King's highest official plotted the annihilation of all the Jews in all the provinces under Citadel of Susa because of his hatred for Modecai and all Jews.  When this plot became known to Modecai he brought the news to Esther and implored her to do something to stop it. And one striking statement he made was "... And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?" Esther might have been perplexed and wonder why suc...

WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 1st JUNE 2026 IT DEPENDS ON YOUR FAITH Luke 7:50 Jesus said to the woman, "Your faith has saved you; go in peace." (NIV) All the people who received miracle from the Lord Jesus in the Bible was through their faith. Bible has the records. The Master couldn't do many miracles at His hometown because the people lacked faith. Through a careful study of this subject we can tell that miracle, salvation and blessing depends on ones faith. One time Jesus was in the boat with His disciples and fell asleep. Suddenly a strong wind came against the boat such that it was about to drown. His disciples woke Him up. He spoke to the raging wind and it stilled. He asked His disciples a question in Luke 8:25 "Where is your faith?" he asked his disciples. In fear and amazement they asked one another, "Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him." What was required for them to calm the stor...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 31st MAY 2026 THE SCRIPTURES WERE WRITTEN FOR US Romans 15:4 For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope. (NIV) The Bible is not a record book; it was not written so that what happened could be kept safe, nor is it a history book -- a mere story of what happened in the past. No! Everything written in the Bible was written for us with a purpose. Apostle Paul by the Spirit tells us in Romans 15:4 "For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope." The scriptures was meant to teach and enlighten us so that we could have endurance, encouragement, faith and hope. We do not only learn through the wisdom of the Scriptures but also through the characters (people) and thei...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 30th MAY 2026 WE FLOURISH Psalms 92:12-13 The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God. (NIV) If you ever observed a palm tree you will have found out that it blossoms even in dry seasons. The cedar or tree of Lebanon grows fast and strong because the land of Lebanon is fertile. We are planted in God, the most fertile environment for us; we grow and flourish.  Every Christian who wants to flourish must remain planted in the house of God. Some times we find some Christians who don't remain in God, and the result is fruitlessness.  Those who by grace remain planted in God are consistently fruitful and productive. They flourish continually like a palm tree and their lives do not wither and whatever they do prospers.  God has planted you in His house. Take the responsibility to remain planted and you will...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 29th MAY 2026 WE LIVE BY WORDS Mark 11:23-24 "Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ’Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. (NIV) Faith is first expressed in words before action. The above scripture says "if anyone says to this mountain, ’Go, throw yourself into the sea,..." This means we do things by words and we live by words. Consciously or unconsciously the things we say has effect on our life. But we can deliberately take advantage of the power of words and produce the results we want in our lives.  If we follow the teaching in our theme scripture and practise it consistently we can literally produce positive results in our lives continually.  Let's read our theme scripture again. Mark 11...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 28th MAY 2026 INTERCEDE FOR FELLOW CHRISTIANS Colossians 4:12-13 Epaphras, who is one of you and a servant of Christ Jesus, sends greetings. He is always wrestling in prayer for you, that you may stand firm in all the will of God, mature and fully assured. I vouch for him that he is working hard for you and for those at Laodicea and Hierapolis. (NIV) In our previous study we talked about praying for leaders and nations. Today we want to talk about praying for fellow Christians. We do not only have a responsibility to pray for our leaders and nations but also to pray for our fellow Christians. Our prayer for one another helps us to stand together. Everyone of us must consistently pray for others. You must pray for me, I must pray for you.  Apostle Paul tells us about Epaphras, a perfect example of one who prays for fellow Christians. Apostle Paul said "I vouch for him that he is working hard for you and for those at Laodicea an...
