BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 31st MAY 2026 THE SCRIPTURES WERE WRITTEN FOR US Romans 15:4 For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope. (NIV) The Bible is not a record book; it was not written so that what happened could be kept safe, nor is it a history book -- a mere story of what happened in the past. No! Everything written in the Bible was written for us with a purpose. Apostle Paul by the Spirit tells us in Romans 15:4 "For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope." The scriptures was meant to teach and enlighten us so that we could have endurance, encouragement, faith and hope. We do not only learn through the wisdom of the Scriptures but also through the characters (people) and thei...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 30th MAY 2026 WE FLOURISH Psalms 92:12-13 The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God. (NIV) If you ever observed a palm tree you will have found out that it blossoms even in dry seasons. The cedar or tree of Lebanon grows fast and strong because the land of Lebanon is fertile. We are planted in God, the most fertile environment for us; we grow and flourish.  Every Christian who wants to flourish must remain planted in the house of God. Some times we find some Christians who don't remain in God, and the result is fruitlessness.  Those who by grace remain planted in God are consistently fruitful and productive. They flourish continually like a palm tree and their lives do not wither and whatever they do prospers.  God has planted you in His house. Take the responsibility to remain planted and you will...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 29th MAY 2026 WE LIVE BY WORDS Mark 11:23-24 "Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ’Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. (NIV) Faith is first expressed in words before action. The above scripture says "if anyone says to this mountain, ’Go, throw yourself into the sea,..." This means we do things by words and we live by words. Consciously or unconsciously the things we say has effect on our life. But we can deliberately take advantage of the power of words and produce the results we want in our lives.  If we follow the teaching in our theme scripture and practise it consistently we can literally produce positive results in our lives continually.  Let's read our theme scripture again. Mark 11...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 28th MAY 2026 INTERCEDE FOR FELLOW CHRISTIANS Colossians 4:12-13 Epaphras, who is one of you and a servant of Christ Jesus, sends greetings. He is always wrestling in prayer for you, that you may stand firm in all the will of God, mature and fully assured. I vouch for him that he is working hard for you and for those at Laodicea and Hierapolis. (NIV) In our previous study we talked about praying for leaders and nations. Today we want to talk about praying for fellow Christians. We do not only have a responsibility to pray for our leaders and nations but also to pray for our fellow Christians. Our prayer for one another helps us to stand together. Everyone of us must consistently pray for others. You must pray for me, I must pray for you.  Apostle Paul tells us about Epaphras, a perfect example of one who prays for fellow Christians. Apostle Paul said "I vouch for him that he is working hard for you and for those at Laodicea an...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 26th MAY 2026 TWO-WAY CHANNEL Philippians 4:15 Moreover, as you Philippians know, in the early days of your acquaintance with the gospel, when I set out from Macedonia, not one church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you only; (NIV) The Apostle Paul made a remarkable statement "the matter of giving and receiving" while addressing the Philippian church. Giving is not one way; when we give it creates another way, making it a two-way channel. Giving and receiving goes together. Everyone who gives sincerely, joyfully and willingly also receives.  Not many people are aware or practise this ministry. Giving and receiving is actually a ministry, and very few people practise it deliberately. Train yourself to always give for Kingdom work and other good works, and when you do always expect to receive, because it is a matter or ministry of giving and receiving. Givers receives. Not only to reward them fo...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 25th MAY 2026 CONTINUE TO LIVE FOR HIM Colossians 2:6 So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, (NIV) To live in Him is to live for Him. You can't be in Christ and not live for Him. Because if you are in Him, He is in you and lives through you. If you have received Him as Lord; that is, if you have confessed His lordship over your life and are yielded to His lordship and leading then you won't struggle at all to live for Him.  Living for Him requires a mind made-up. You have to make up your mind completely to live for Him. Because unless you do if you encounter challenges you might likely turn back on Him. In living for Him there are oppositions but He has given us victory over them all.  Apostle Paul was resolute, in Philippians 1:21 he says "For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain." Simply he meant, if I am to go on living I will continue to live for Christ. ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 23rd MAY 2026 GUARD AGAINST THE FLESH Galatians 5:24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. (NIV) The flesh has its own passions and desires which are contrary to those of the Spirit. Galatians 5:17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. Though you are born again if you don't guard against the flesh you would find yourself gratifying the desires and passions of the flesh. The body (the flesh) you live in is natural to this world, this world is its natural domain. But your spirit is from above. Your body naturally lives and relates with this world but you will have to consciously and deliberately give attention to your spirit in order to express its nature, desire and passion through your body.  You have to deliberately guard your spirit ...
