BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 29th JUNE 2026 DON'T GIVE UP DOING GOOD Galatians 6:9-10 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. (NIV) We are living in a world where doing good doesn't seems to pay. If we would judge by people's attitude towards our good deeds we would become weary. Some people do pay back evil for good. But that shouldn't stop us from doing good.  The Bible says that we would reap a harvest if we do not give up doing good. And that harvest can only come from God. The harvest of doing good comes from God. It's important we keep this in focus while doing good. The harvest will not come from those you were good to, nor will it come from any man but God.  If you look to man for harvest for the good deeds you did you would be highly disappoint...

(NIV) Love is a debt which we will never finish paying and can't stop paying. Loving is beyond willingness, want or convenient. You are not going to love others because you are willing to or want to or convenient for you. No! But because it is a debt and there is a law or command that says you must pay it.  John 13:34 "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. Loving people is not about what is convenient for you or what you want but what God commands. Jesus said "...As I have loved you, so you MUST love one another."  How did he love us? (NIV) Coming towards the end of the year some might look back to what the Lord has done for them during the year and find that some promises, words or prophecies are yet to be fulfilled. Maybe at the beginning of the year or during the year you received a prophecy in the Word concerning what God would do for you in the year but now the year is almost over and nothing has happened in regard to that.  For Abraham it was the same. God promised him a son that would be his heir and also heir of the covenant and promise, but Abraham was almost a hundred years old and still had no son. Logically and all otherwise it was over, time had past him, he had become an old man. But Abraham didn't give up on God and His promise. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (NIV) Jesus' birth, death and resurrection was for us. He was born of man so we could be born of God. He put on flesh so we could put on divinity. He became man so we could become god. It was all for us. The above verse says "...and the government will be on his shoulders." Shoulder is a part of the body not the head. Jesus is the head of His body the church. The government, rulership and authority is on the shoulder of the church. He came to put us in government, rulership and authority. We put us in charge.  Jesus didn't need victory over satan.
