BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 12th AUGUST 2026 JUST GIVE THANKS 1 Thessalonians 5:18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. (NIV) You have a role and a responsibility to give thanks to God in every circumstance. The circumstance may not be pleasant but just give thanks. You are not thanking God for the unpleasant situation but because it is His will. He said to give thanks in all circumstances.  You applied for a job but declined, give thanks. You want to get married but not forthcoming, give thanks. Your house rent has expired and the landlord is on your neck, give thanks. He said for this is God's will. He didn't say the unpleasant circumstance is God's will but that giving thanks is God's will.  God want you to look beyond the situation at hand and give Him thanks. That's what He wants from you, when you do you are obeying Him, and that's more important. He takes charge when you obey Him. He ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 11th AUGUST 2026 AN OPPORTUNITY FOR TESTIMONY 2 Corinthians 4:17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. (NIV) We won't have testimonies If we don't have challenges. Testimony results from our triumph over troubles, challenges and persecutions. We need challenges to scale higher. When trouble or persecution comes up don't fret, it's only an opportunity for testimony. Our light and momentary troubles achieves for us eternal glory that far outweighs those troubles. Troubles achieve glory for us. When people turn against you and put obstacle on your path, don't fret, it will achieve glory for you. Those who talk against you and conspire against you don't know that they are creating a mighty testimony for you. Testimony is created; it is achieved. It's a result of victory over contrary. You testify when you win. And it takes faith to win. You ha...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 10th AUGUST 2026 A FIGHT OF FAITH 1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. (NIV) Reading this above scripture is improper to interpret it as a warfare with the devil. A lot of Christians have the mentality that they are at war with the devil but that's not true; devil is under your feet defeated, paralyzed and disarmed. Some use such scriptures as the one above to support their claim. But this above scripture didn't suggest anything of such.  The Bible says "fight the good fight of the faith" It's a fight of faith, not a fight with demons or devil.  A fight of faith simply means to work out your faith irrespective of the contraries. It means to manifest the faith you profess irrespective of sight or feeling.  Apostle Paul said to Timothy "take hold of the eternal life to wh...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 9th AUGUST 2026 NOTHING SEPARATES Romans 8:38-39 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, [^11] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (NIV) Our oneness with God in Christ is His idea and design. He initiated it, it's what He wanted. He fashioned us such that nothing in all creation can separate us. While we were yet sinners He gave His only Son to save and bring us to Himself, and that because of His love for us. Having brought us into oneness with Him He wouldn't allow anything to separate us. If our sins could not stop Him back then, there is therefore nothing else that can now. We are the object of God's love. Even though all of creation is an expression of His love we are the highest expression of His love. We are so dear to Go...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 8th AUGUST 2026 NO OPTION TO HIM John 16:13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. (NIV) A Christian won't be confuse about life if he follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. It is only the Holy Spirit who guides into the truth. He brings you into reality. We only understand the things written down for us in the Bible because of the Holy Spirit. A Christian can only live the Christian life through the ministry of the Holy Spirit to him. There is no option to the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit speaks only what He hears, that is, He speaks revelation. He says things to us beyond the surface. And He tells us things to come. He tells us the future. A lot of times people find themselves in the dark wandering and wondering what the future holds for them. But the Holy Spirit shows us the future...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 7th AUGUST 2026 ALWAYS AVAILABLE AND RELIABLE Hebrews 13:5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." (NIV) No Christian would argue that God is always available and reliable. But in the face of challenges some wonder 'where is God?' Unpleasant circumstances may tell you that God has abandon you, you may not feel He is around. But God's availability is not judged by circumstances or feeling. You don't have to feel He is around. His word already tells you He is. God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." This is the guarantee that He is available and reliable. He didn't say 'when you feel good or when circumstances are good that means I am around.' He says "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." That's a statement of commitment a...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 6th AUGUST 2026 FAITH SPEAKS 2 Corinthians 4:13 It is written: "I believed; therefore I have spoken." Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak, (NIV) Believing the word of God without speaking will not produce the result of what it talks about in our life. To believe is to agree. But agreeing to what God says is not enough to enjoy the blessings thereof. When you believe what God says it becomes your state in the spirit but for you to experience it here on earth you got to speak it forth. Whatever God says about you is His reality concerning you. Your believing means you agree to it but you only get involved and participate in that reality by speaking in consonant with Him. You have to participate in God's word concerning you because it involves you. You do that by confessing the word. The Gospel we have received is called the great confession because it's a life of confession. ...
