BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 11th MAY 2026 BEFORE YOU GIVE UP Proverbs 24:10 If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small. (KJV) The Bible recognize the day of adversity. It is a day when everything go adversely; that means, things going contrary to what you plan or want. And then you have a responsibility to turn them back into what you want. It is a time of fight, a fight of faith, not a time to give up. The Bible says if you faint (give up) in the day of adversity your strength is small. How are you going to increase your strength? Certainly this is not human strength. For by human strength shall no one prevail. Spiritual strength is required for victory and success. And only the Holy Spirit gives such strength. So in the day of adversity you draw strength from Him. And the way to do so is through meditation on the Word and prayer. Luke 18:1 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up....

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 10th MAY 2026 THROUGH HIM Romans 8:37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. (KJV) If only we would recognize the THROUGH HIM in this verse, meditate on it, understand it and act on it our struggles would cease. We are more than conquerors through Him who loves us not through our strength or qualification.  Christianity is leveraging on Jesus; who He is, what He has, what He can, where He is and what He has done for us. A victorious Christian is not one who never did any wrong or said anything wrong but one who is skillful in dividing and applying the word of truth. An effective Christian is one who leverage on grace.  Our victory and success is through Him. Amidst all the troubles, trials and persecutions we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us. You have to carefully examine your life if your words and deeds has been through Him. Some times our fruitless efforts is becau...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 9th MAY 2026 THE GRACE; THE LOVE; THE SPIRIT 2 Corinthians 13:14 May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. (NIV) The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ actually means the place of the Lord Jesus Christ. He took our place of sin, judgment and death so we could take His place of righteousness, justification and life. His grace means more than just favour, it is His place with the Father given us. He gave us His place of Sonship with the Father. Now we can say "Abba Father!" Without the love of God we couldn't have received the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. It was the love of God the Father which gave us His Son Jesus. For God so loved that world that He gave His only begotten son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Everlasting life is a gift of His grace.  Even though we have experienced the love of the Father a...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 8th MAY 2026 IF THE LORD DOES NOT HELP YOU 2 Kings 6:26-27 As the king of Israel was passing by on the wall, a woman cried to him, "Help me, my lord the king!" The king replied, "If the LORD does not help you, where can I get help for you? From the threshing floor? From the winepress?" (NIV) It's important to know that only God can truly help a man. Even when a fellow man helps you it is only an extension of God's help. So it's no use setting your focus on man to help you, if the Lord does not help you no man however great or rich can. A woman wanted justice and cried to the king of Israel. His response was "If the LORD does not help you, where can I get help for you? From the threshing floor? From the winepress?" He was simply telling the woman I cannot do anything for you, only God can. Actually the king himself needed help at the time.  You see the people you look to for help also need h...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 7th MAY 2026 THE NAME, THE WORD AND THE SPIRIT Philippians 2:9-11 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (NIV) What you require to solve any challenge is the Name, the Word and the Spirit. Irrespective of the circumstance you find yourself in, whether sickness, hopelessness, failure or even the death of a loved one all you need is these three.  Your understanding of the Name of Jesus, the Word (the Gospel of God), and the Spirit of God will have significant impact on your life and the way you relate and deal with the circumstances of life.  You have to understand that the Name of Jesus is sovereign over every name, people, organization, thing, disease and infirmity. What we read in Philippi...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 6th MAY 2026 MORE THAN TWO THOUSAND YEARS AGO 1 Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (NIV) When a Christian is faced with a challenge and wants a change he prays to God hoping that He would do something right away. When conflict comes up at his workplace he want God to give him victory over it. But God already gave us victory over every conflict more than two thousand years ago through the Lord Jesus Christ. And it is valid for today and for all time.  The victory we got in Christ is a continuous victory; it is a once and for all time victory which continue over times and circumstances. We are as victorious today as we were more than two thousand years ago when God raised us up with Jesus from the dead.  Acts 2:24 But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him. When God raised Jesus ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 5th MAY 2026 THE SPIRIT OF FEAR 2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (KJV) There is such a thing as the spirit of fear. It precedes every disaster or calamity that comes to a man. Before any negative thing takes place in the life of a person he is first attacked with fear. It takes fear to die. Anyone who rejects fear rejects death.  When a Doctor diagnose a person with an incurable disease and tell the person you are going to die in three months from now. A lot of times such a person dies before the end of that three months. What actually kill the fellow is not the disease but fear of death. If the Doctor hadn't said anything to him he probably would have lived many years more. Fear kills! If you had school exams to write devil would attack you with fear of failing. If you allow such fear you would actually fail before the exam. When devil wants you to fail...
