BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 22nd MAY 2026 NOT ON YOUR MERIT Ephesians 2:4-5 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions —it is by grace you have been saved. (NIV) One of the reasons we struggle to walk in God's perfect will is reliance on our own works and merit. Every man was born a sinner. Through the transgression of Adam sin passed unto every man. Every one sinned and fell short of the glory of God. Some might boast about their moral uprightness. Moral uprightness is not bad, but it is not righteousness. Moral uprightness is living up to the moral standard of a society. Righteousness is living in the standard that grace has brought us into. People fail in their walk with God because of reliance on merit; some hold onto their religious efforts and moral fit. But every man has deficiency without Christ. Christ alone is man's sufficiency. Amid all our short coming...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 21st MAY 2026 CALLED TO GLORY AND EXCELLENCE 2 Peter 1:3 His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, (ESV) It has always been the plan and dream of God to fill man with His glory. He had always wanted man to carry and dispense His beauty. The first man sinned and fell short of the glory. But God restored man to glory through Christ. Romans 3:23-24 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,  In the days of Moses God gave the Israelites the law which made them different from the rest of the world. God wanted a people that would bear His glory; through the law He offered the Israelites the opportunity to experience His glory if they would obey the law. For the law came with glory.  2 Corinthians 3:7-8 Now if the ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 20th MAY 2026 LIVE IN HIS REST Hebrews 4:10 for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his. (NIV) You entered God's rest when you got born again and received the Holy Spirit. After God finished the creation of the world He rested. He hadn't been doing anything actively. His Spirit does everything as required. It was by the Holy Spirit Jesus did the Father's work in the earth, and it was the same Holy Spirit who raised Him from the dead.  When you received the Holy Spirit He brought you into God's rest. You ceased from your own work, yes if you actually surrendered your life to the Holy Spirit completely then whatever He does through you is the Father's work not yours. He takes your job, business, career and your every endeavour as God's work. Everything you are about is God's business. You ceased from your own work; you are in His rest now. That's why Jesus cam...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 19th MAY 2026 BIND IT! Matthew 16:19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." (NIV) The keys of the Kingdom of heaven is not the same as the keys to the Kingdom of heaven. The keys to the Kingdom of heaven would mean keys that open doors in heaven. But what the Bible tells us is "the keys of the Kingdom of heaven", which means keys that are of heaven origin. In the context of this verse the keys means authority. So what Jesus said in essence is "I will give you the authority of the Kingdom of heaven." And He has long done it. As a child of God you have heaven's authority. You can function in the authority of the Kingdom of heaven. In fact you are required to. You are on earth as a representative of the Kingdom of heaven, and it is your duty and privilege to exercise the authority of t...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 18th MAY 2026 SEE POSSIBILITY Matthew 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. (KJV) People only become hopeless when they can't see beyond where they are. When one is unable to see beyond his seemingly insurmountable circumstances he loses hope. But Jesus said "nothing shall be impossible unto you." If this is true, and of course it is, why not see possibility? There is so much you can do and be in this life. See possibility! The problem is not the challenges or hardships but what you are seeing. If you see a way out of the hardship that's what it would turn out to be. It's not so much about what is not working but your perception about it.  Jesus said in Matthew 17:20 "...If ye have faith as ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 17th MAY 2026 YOUR LIFE IS YOUR MAKING Matthew 12:33 "Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit. (NIV) First of all, it is important that you realize that every man is a tree and the fruits of his life depends on him. The Bible says "make a tree good and its fruit will be good." You can make your life what you want. You are more in charge of your life than God is. You may not hear this anywhere else. Everyone blames everyone else for their failures and predicaments but themselves. Some even blame God. But He gave you life to live; rule, control and take decision. You are in charge of your life than God is. God doesn't run our life as some think. He gave us His Word by which we should run our own lives. Your life is actually your making. God gave you His manual (His word) to run your life, whether or not you adhere to it is your...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley  16th MAY 2026 ACCORDING TO YOUR FAITH Matthew 9:29 Then he touched their eyes and said, "According to your faith let it be done to you"; (NIV) Two blind men came to Jesus pleading with Him to restore their sight. They wanted to have their sight back. Their desire was all right. But they did not examine their faith. Jesus turned their attention to faith. Because that was what they required; healing and blessing requires more than desire -- faith is required. Matthew 9:27-30 As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, calling out, "Have mercy on us, Son of David!" When he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?" "Yes, Lord," they replied. Then he touched their eyes and said, "According to your faith let it be done to you"; and their sight was restored. Jesus warned them sternly, "See that no one know...
