BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 15th MAY 2026 WHERE YOUR TREASURE IS Matthew 6:21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (NIV) You can know what your heart is passionate about by taking note of what you do with the things that are precious and important to you. The things that are precious to you are your treasures. Of course, your resources are your treasures too. Your heart goes where your resources goes.  As a child of God you can measure your walk with God, and even your spiritual maturity by what you do with your resources. Money is an important treasure to everyone. If you want to know where your heart is, examine what you spend your money on. Consciously or unconsciously everyone spend their money on what gladdens their heart. If the furtherance of the Gospel of Jesus and seeing people saved is what gladdens your heart then your money will go there. Matthew 6:19-21 "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 14th MAY 2026 HOPE DOES NOT FAIL Romans 5:5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. (NIV) When we study the Word of God He does not only produce faith in us but also hope. Only the Word gives genuine hope because it has basis. The Word is truth, what He tells us is true. This truth is the foundation or basis of our hope. And such hope does not put us to shame. You may have hoped and waited for God's word concerning a particular issue in your life to come to pass but nothing has happened yet. Don't lose hope. You might have thoughts that the Word has failed and there is no need hoping. Those thoughts are wrong and aimed to destroy your hope. Listen! Hope built on God's Word does not fail. Keep your hope alive! The Bible says "God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given t...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 12th MAY 2026 TAKE ADVANTAGE OF GOD'S WORD Hebrews 13:5-6 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?" (NIV) What you become in life and how much you do in life is dependent on how much you do with God's Word. When you receive God's word what do you do with it? Do you relate with it as a mere information or story? God's Word is His judgment of the state of things. What He says about your health is His judgment concerning your health. When you find His Word take advantage of it. When something happens everyone has something to say about it. That's their judgment or perception. If you had pain on your shoulder and went to a doctor he would examine it and then render his judgment. God...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 11th MAY 2026 BEFORE YOU GIVE UP Proverbs 24:10 If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small. (KJV) The Bible recognize the day of adversity. It is a day when everything go adversely; that means, things going contrary to what you plan or want. And then you have a responsibility to turn them back into what you want. It is a time of fight, a fight of faith, not a time to give up. The Bible says if you faint (give up) in the day of adversity your strength is small. How are you going to increase your strength? Certainly this is not human strength. For by human strength shall no one prevail. Spiritual strength is required for victory and success. And only the Holy Spirit gives such strength. So in the day of adversity you draw strength from Him. And the way to do so is through meditation on the Word and prayer. Luke 18:1 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up....

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 10th MAY 2026 THROUGH HIM Romans 8:37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. (KJV) If only we would recognize the THROUGH HIM in this verse, meditate on it, understand it and act on it our struggles would cease. We are more than conquerors through Him who loves us not through our strength or qualification.  Christianity is leveraging on Jesus; who He is, what He has, what He can, where He is and what He has done for us. A victorious Christian is not one who never did any wrong or said anything wrong but one who is skillful in dividing and applying the word of truth. An effective Christian is one who leverage on grace.  Our victory and success is through Him. Amidst all the troubles, trials and persecutions we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us. You have to carefully examine your life if your words and deeds has been through Him. Some times our fruitless efforts is becau...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 9th MAY 2026 THE GRACE; THE LOVE; THE SPIRIT 2 Corinthians 13:14 May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. (NIV) The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ actually means the place of the Lord Jesus Christ. He took our place of sin, judgment and death so we could take His place of righteousness, justification and life. His grace means more than just favour, it is His place with the Father given us. He gave us His place of Sonship with the Father. Now we can say "Abba Father!" Without the love of God we couldn't have received the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. It was the love of God the Father which gave us His Son Jesus. For God so loved that world that He gave His only begotten son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Everlasting life is a gift of His grace.  Even though we have experienced the love of the Father a...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 8th MAY 2026 IF THE LORD DOES NOT HELP YOU 2 Kings 6:26-27 As the king of Israel was passing by on the wall, a woman cried to him, "Help me, my lord the king!" The king replied, "If the LORD does not help you, where can I get help for you? From the threshing floor? From the winepress?" (NIV) It's important to know that only God can truly help a man. Even when a fellow man helps you it is only an extension of God's help. So it's no use setting your focus on man to help you, if the Lord does not help you no man however great or rich can. A woman wanted justice and cried to the king of Israel. His response was "If the LORD does not help you, where can I get help for you? From the threshing floor? From the winepress?" He was simply telling the woman I cannot do anything for you, only God can. Actually the king himself needed help at the time.  You see the people you look to for help also need h...
