BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 3rd APRIL 2026 REJOICE AND CELEBRATE Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. (NIV) In the Kingdom of God the things you do not rejoice about you may not enjoy to the fullest. In Christ we have so much to rejoice about. And it is our responsibility to recognize them and celebrate. One of the ways to enjoy the blessings of the Gospel is to rejoice and celebrate when you find out about them in the scriptures. Apostle Paul had to remind the church at Philippi to rejoice and celebrate in the Lord. He didn't ask them to rejoice in themselves or the circumstances that might have surrounded them. Their rejoicing was to be directed to what they have in the Lord. We are encouraged to do the same today.  You are responsible to find out in the scriptures what the Lord has done and made available for you in the Gospel. BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 2nd APRIL 2026 THE SOUND OF A HEAVY RAIN 1 Kings 18:41 And Elijah said to Ahab, "Go, eat and drink, for there is the sound of a heavy rain." (NIV) Whenever God want to bless someone or do something big in a person's life He sends His word to that person, when he receives that word and act upon it he is positioned to have it happen for him.  It hadn't rained in the land of Israel for some years. God was about to change that. His word came to Ahab the King of Israel "Go, eat and drink, for there is the sound of a heavy rain." God may not do for you what you do not expect or desire. His word had to come to Ahab and the people of Israel to create in them an expectation for rain. They became used to drought; they might have as well forgotten about rain.  Some people have gotten so used to suffering and the downside life. They are used to drought, penury, lack and want. BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 1st APRIL 2026 GO AND CELEBRATE Nehemiah 8:10 Nehemiah said, "Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength." (NIV) Celebration is of God. After some of the Israelites who had gone into captivity returned to Jerusalem and carried out the work of rebuilding the city Ezra assembled the people and read the law of Moses to them. When they heard it they were all filled with joy. Nehemiah one of the leaders responded and said to the people "Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. (NIV) Understanding your identity in Christ is vital to experiencing your victory in Christ. It is only in Christ that you are everything God made you. Who you are in Christ is not your making but it is your responsibility to discover, accept and live it.  Our theme scripture is not a mere sentence but a statement of fact; your present reality been born again. Galatians 3:27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. When you received Jesus as your Lord the Holy Spirit baptized you into Christ. The word 'baptized' is from the Greek word 'baptizo', which means to be dipped completely into liquid substance such that you are completely covered by that substance. BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 30th MARCH 2026 RECEIVE MERCY Hebrews 4:16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. (NIV) God's throne of grace is freely opened to us. Because we have Jesus as our High Priest we can approach God's throne of grace with confidence. Mercy and grace are available at the throne of grace. Mercy here is not in respect to sin; as in pardon of sins, but God's tenderness, kindness and softness directed towards us.  God's mercy is care, patience, carefulness and concerns towards us. His mercy means help we do not qualify for or even ask for. We are confident to approach God's throne of grace to receive mercy (help that we are not qualified for) because Jesus our High Priest offered Himself as a sacrificial offering for us procuring for us all that we would ever need. BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 29th MARCH 2026 PEACE IS AN ANSWER Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (NIV) When this text of the scripture is read we don't really pay attention to the answer promised or provided. It says "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." And went on to promise the answer that would follow. It says "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." That's interesting! Peace is an answer to prayer and petition. BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 28th MARCH 2026 POSSESS YOUR INHERITANCE Obadiah 1:17 But on Mount Zion will be deliverance; it will be holy, and Jacob will possess his inheritance. (NIV) Mount Zion means the Church of Jesus Christ. And deliverance -- salvation has come to the church a long time ago, and she is forever holy. And there is an inheritance for every member of the Church, the body of Christ.  Colossians 1:12 giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. (ESV) There is a legal inheritance for you. It's not about something that is real and tangible only in the spirit realm but also here on earth. Everything here on earth has a spiritual origin and lineage.
