Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky (NIV) There are people who say that the past ages were better than today. They believe the era of their forefathers were better than today. They complain about the moral decadence in the world today, and all the wickedness of men. But they forget that they were born for a time like this. God knew you were coming. He knew that this is the world you would live in. Philippians 2:15 says "so that you may become blameless and pure, "children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation." BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 5th APRIL 2026 SOMETHING MUCH MORE Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, (NIV) The Kingdom of God referred here is not the one in heaven. This refers to the church here on earth. The Word says we are not here on earth to eat and drink but for righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.  We are here on earth to walk in and share the righteousness, peace and joy of the Holy Spirit. When we got born again we received God's rightousness, peace and joy. We are expected to walk in these and experience them continually. And the other aspect of it, is to share the righteousness, peace and joy of the Holy Spirit with others. When we share the Gospel of Jesus with people and they believe they receive God's rightousness, peace and joy. They in turn grow in it, walk in it and share it. "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: (NIV) You would hear someone say "this is where I found myself in life. Life has not been fair to me, this is what life gave me." These are people whom life has thrown up and down and eventually dump them somewhere they never thought of or wanted to be. Life chose for them.  Life was created for you not you for life, don't let life control you and dictate the outcome of your existence. Life was given you to live; you are to live life and dictate the outcome of your existence and circumstances, not life choosing for you where to go, what to do and what to have.  The Bible tells us how to live life and be on top of life always, it is through the Word of God in our mouth and heart. BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 3rd APRIL 2026 REJOICE AND CELEBRATE Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. (NIV) In the Kingdom of God the things you do not rejoice about you may not enjoy to the fullest. In Christ we have so much to rejoice about. And it is our responsibility to recognize them and celebrate. One of the ways to enjoy the blessings of the Gospel is to rejoice and celebrate when you find out about them in the scriptures. Apostle Paul had to remind the church at Philippi to rejoice and celebrate in the Lord. He didn't ask them to rejoice in themselves or the circumstances that might have surrounded them. Their rejoicing was to be directed to what they have in the Lord. We are encouraged to do the same today.  You are responsible to find out in the scriptures what the Lord has done and made available for you in the Gospel. BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 2nd APRIL 2026 THE SOUND OF A HEAVY RAIN 1 Kings 18:41 And Elijah said to Ahab, "Go, eat and drink, for there is the sound of a heavy rain." (NIV) Whenever God want to bless someone or do something big in a person's life He sends His word to that person, when he receives that word and act upon it he is positioned to have it happen for him.  It hadn't rained in the land of Israel for some years. God was about to change that. His word came to Ahab the King of Israel "Go, eat and drink, for there is the sound of a heavy rain." God may not do for you what you do not expect or desire. His word had to come to Ahab and the people of Israel to create in them an expectation for rain. They became used to drought; they might have as well forgotten about rain.  Some people have gotten so used to suffering and the downside life. They are used to drought, penury, lack and want. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength." (NIV) Celebration is of God. After some of the Israelites who had gone into captivity returned to Jerusalem and carried out the work of rebuilding the city Ezra assembled the people and read the law of Moses to them. When they heard it they were all filled with joy. Nehemiah one of the leaders responded and said to the people "Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. (NIV) Understanding your identity in Christ is vital to experiencing your victory in Christ. It is only in Christ that you are everything God made you. Who you are in Christ is not your making but it is your responsibility to discover, accept and live it.  Our theme scripture is not a mere sentence but a statement of fact; your present reality been born again. Galatians 3:27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. When you received Jesus as your Lord the Holy Spirit baptized you into Christ. The word 'baptized' is from the Greek word 'baptizo', which means to be dipped completely into liquid substance such that you are completely covered by that substance.
