BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 4th MAY 2026 WHOLESOME THOUGHTS WHOLESOME LIFE Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:... (KJV) Everyone wants their life to be wholesome but not everyone gives careful attention to their thoughts. And not many give premium to their thoughts. Yet the Bible says as a man thinks so is he. Everyone is a product of their thoughts. The circumstances of man's life is defined by his thoughts. He may not be responsible for every thought that comes to him but he is certainly responsible for processing them and the resultant effect in his life.  If you want a wholesome life have wholesome thoughts. The outcome of your life cannot escape your thoughts. You can control what you think because your mind thinks only the information you provide it. Avail yourself to the right information. People who live in constant fear is as a result of the fearful information they have digested over a cause of time. If you listen to the rig...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 3rd MAY 2026 REMEMBER HIS GOODNESS Micah 6:5 My people, remember what Balak king of Moab plotted and what Balaam son of Beor answered. Remember your journey from Shittim to Gilgal, that you may know the righteous acts of the LORD." (NIV) The Israelites on their way to the promised land from Egypt encountered enemies. Kings and people of other nations attacked them many times. One of such was king Balak of Moab. He prepared to attack Israel but fear of them gripped him for they were numerous and strong. He sent for Balaam the prophet and pleaded with him to lay a curse on the Israelites to weaken them. But God would not let him. He ended up blessing them, and concluded in Numbers 23:20 I have received a command to bless; he has blessed, and I cannot change it. Inspite of this and many other things God did for the Israelites; deliverance and blessings, they would not remember. Each time they were faced with hardship or an enemy ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 2nd MAY 2026 KEEP HOPE ALIVE Romans 5:5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. (NIV) Everyone at some point gets to their stretch. A person may have many disappointments and failures, and concluded "I have had it." He tries to look forward and the road seems bleak and impossible. Recounting the things that didn't work for him he lost hope of the future.  If your hope is based on God's word keep it alive. Everything else you might set your hope would fail. Only the hope built on God's word that will not fail. The Bible says "And hope does not put us to shame," and went further to explain "because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us."  Our hope is in His word; when you receive His word into your heart anticipate its fulfilment. Keep...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 1st MAY 2026 HIS TROPHY OF VICTORY 2 Corinthians 2:14 But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere. (NIV) When Jesus died He went to hell, defeated and disarmed satan and his cohorts. Coming out of hell He brought out the saints who had died (Abraham, Moses, David and others) and had been captives in hell. He came out with them. They were actually His trophy of victory.  Colossians 2:15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. And like those saints every Christian is Christ's trophy of victory.  Ephesians 4:8 This is why it says: "When he ascended on high, he took many captives and gave gifts to his people." The captives referred to here are the saints he brought out of the paradise which was in hell. The Christian came after the figh...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 30th APRIL 2026 THE WISDOM OF THE RIGHTEOUS Luke 1:17 And he will go on before the Lord, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the parents to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous —to make ready a people prepared for the Lord." (NIV) An Angel speaking to Zechariah about the birth of John the Baptist and his ministry said many things and one of them was "the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous." His ministry would turn the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous. The wisdom of the righteous is a mindset of the righteous that pre-dictated their thoughts, words and actions. The mindset of the righteous is a mind which know, understand and live in the will of God. It is a mind dominated by the word (will) of God. The disobedient are the unbelievers. If they listen to the word of God understand and accept it they would have the mindset of the righteous.  The wisdom ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 29th APRIL 2026 WE LIVE IN HIS PRESENCE Hosea 6:2 After two days he will revive us; on the third day he will restore us, that we may live in his presence. (NIV) After the transgression of Adam God drove him away from His presence. Humanity was literally driven away from God's presence in the spirit realm. Man was driven from God's presence (His glory). But in Christ those who are born again are freely justified, revived and restored back into God's presence. Romans 3:23-24 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. Hosea speaking prophetically pointed to Christ triumphant resurrection from the dead after three days which he said means revival (brought back to life) and restoration (being restored to glory) for mankind. And he added "that we may live in His presence." Hosea 6:2 After two days he will revive...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 28th APRIL 2026 GIVEN A BODY FOR A CAUSE Hebrews 10:5-6 Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: "Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me; with burnt offerings and sin offerings you were not pleased. (NIV) Jesus was with God the Father before He came into this world. He was the Word of God and was in the beginning with God -- John 1:1. When He came into the world He put on a human body. And He did that for a reason. The Jesus the Jews saw was not all that He was. He only tabernacled Himself in that body. He was given a body for a cause. He came from heaven to be the payment for man's sin. And He needed a human body to accomplish that. He came to be an atoning sacrifice for man's sin. All the sacrifices offered according to the law could not take away sin nor atone for it. Jesus came into a body prepared for Him to that effect -- to take away sin. Hebrews 10:7-9 Then I said,...
