BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 31st MARCH 2026 YOUR REAL IDENTITY Galatians 3:27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. (NIV) Understanding your identity in Christ is vital to experiencing your victory in Christ. It is only in Christ that you are everything God made you. Who you are in Christ is not your making but it is your responsibility to discover, accept and live it.  Our theme scripture is not a mere sentence but a statement of fact; your present reality been born again. Galatians 3:27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. When you received Jesus as your Lord the Holy Spirit baptized you into Christ. The word 'baptized' is from the Greek word 'baptizo', which means to be dipped completely into liquid substance such that you are completely covered by that substance. That is what it is to be baptized (immersed completely) into Christ. You were swallowed in...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 30th MARCH 2026 RECEIVE MERCY Hebrews 4:16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. (NIV) God's throne of grace is freely opened to us. Because we have Jesus as our High Priest we can approach God's throne of grace with confidence. Mercy and grace are available at the throne of grace. Mercy here is not in respect to sin; as in pardon of sins, but God's tenderness, kindness and softness directed towards us.  God's mercy is care, patience, carefulness and concerns towards us. His mercy means help we do not qualify for or even ask for. We are confident to approach God's throne of grace to receive mercy (help that we are not qualified for) because Jesus our High Priest offered Himself as a sacrificial offering for us procuring for us all that we would ever need. All we do now is to receive mercy and find grace to help in o...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 29th MARCH 2026 PEACE IS AN ANSWER Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (NIV) When this text of the scripture is read we don't really pay attention to the answer promised or provided. It says "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." And went on to promise the answer that would follow. It says "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." That's interesting! Peace is an answer to prayer and petition. Much more than what we pray for He gives us peace.  He says don't be anxious but present your prayer, petition and requests ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 28th MARCH 2026 POSSESS YOUR INHERITANCE Obadiah 1:17 But on Mount Zion will be deliverance; it will be holy, and Jacob will possess his inheritance. (NIV) Mount Zion means the Church of Jesus Christ. And deliverance -- salvation has come to the church a long time ago, and she is forever holy. And there is an inheritance for every member of the Church, the body of Christ.  Colossians 1:12 giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. (ESV) There is a legal inheritance for you. It's not about something that is real and tangible only in the spirit realm but also here on earth. Everything here on earth has a spiritual origin and lineage. You have an inheritance in Christ, together with the rest of the saints (Christians) and God wants you to possess it.  A lot of Christians are aware that they have inheritance in Christ but not many of them are in possession of it. Unti...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 27th MARCH 2026 AN EXCELLENT SPIRIT Daniel 5:12 Forasmuch as an excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding, interpreting of dreams, and shewing of hard sentences, and dissolving of doubts, were found in the same Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar: now let Daniel be called, and he will shew the interpretation. (KJV) Daniel interpreted the mysterious writing on the wall for the king of Babylon. One of the things that enabled him to do so was an excellent spirit. He was described as one with an excellent spirit. An excellent is a keen mind. It's an ability to see and understand things of the spirit.  Every child of God is born with an excellent spirit; he has an inherent ability to see and understand the things of the spirit. An excellent spirit is a keen mind; a mind renewed by the Holy Spirit through the Word. It is the Word-based mind which sees by the light of God's Word. An excellent spirit is required to li...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 26th MARCH 2026 LIVE IN HIS STEAD John 20:31 But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. (NIV) Having believed in Jesus and confessed His Lordship over your life you received His life. You are not expected to live it as you deem fit. You now live for Him. Living for Christ is more than living to please Him but living in His stead.  We live in His stead. That is, we live in His place; we live as He would because He lives through us. The Bible says "But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name." To live in His Name means to live in His total Person. That is not the same as representing His person but being His representation. Being His representation means we are His empress image; His exact expression. Such that all that He is and represe...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 25th MARCH 2026 BE AWARE Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. (NIV) Someone bought a solar panel and placed it outside to have contact with the sun. But whenever it's raining he would move it inside the house. One day a friend visited him and it was about to rain he wanted to go and bring the solar panel inside. His friend told him he didn't have to. That it is waterproof. All these while he was not aware.  The word translated "know" in our opening scripture is the Greek "eido" which means "aware." We are aware that in all things God works for our good. There is no telling what such awareness can do for you.  Are you aware that God has made all your needs readily available? Are you aware that you are superior to satan? Are you also aware that you are forever victorious over Satan, disease, the wor...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 24th MARCH 2026 ALREADY FULFILLED 2 Corinthians 1:20 For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God. (NIV) God has said yes to all the promises He has ever made to man. There is no pending promise. For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God. All we need to do is say the 'Amen' in agreement. God has said 'yes' in Christ Jesus to all the promises.  When we say they are "yes" in Christ, it means everything God ever promised is now fulfilled in Christ. And all that one needs to do is to enter Christ. They are all already fulfilled in Christ. If you are born again then you are in Christ and the promises are already fulfilled unto you. You might say 'I can't see them, I don't ha...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 23rd MARCH 2026 USE IT TO ADVANCE THE GOSPEL Philippians 1:12-13 Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel. As a result, it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard and to everyone else that I am in chains for Christ. (NIV) The Apostle Paul said "Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters..." But not every christian can say this. Some do not want anybody to know what they are going through because they are not using it to advance the Gospel. It's not the unfavorable circumstance that happens to you that matters but what you do with it. It's not bad because it is bad, it's bad because the affected person doesn't know how to turn it to good. For the child of God all things work together for good even when it seems bad.  Use the things that happen with you or to you to advance the Gospel; be it the seemingly bad things and ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 22nd MARCH 2026 AVOID DISTRACTIONS Hebrews 12:2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (NIV) As a Christian your focus is very important. If you were very good in sewing but while sewing turn your attention to something else you would mess up that dress. If you think you are a sound Christian so to say but do not focus on Jesus and His word you can't go far in the walk. In a world where everything, both good and bad desires your attention you will need to be determine and deliberate to keep your focus on Jesus. The Bible says "fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith." This denotes turning attention away from something unto Jesus. Don't give your attention to everything that demands it. Be smart! God cannot use you without you being focused. And you ca...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 21st MARCH 2026 TRANSFERRED INTO HIS KINGDOM Colossians 1:13 who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of his love; (NIV) A Christian realising his real environment and living in the light of it is all important to his success, victory and effectiveness in life. The Bible says in our opening verse "who delivered us out of the power of darkness." So where exactly did this take place, in our house, workplace or street? It took place in the spirit. And it is our spirit not our physical body that was delivered. When He delivered us nothing visible happened in our physical body and our physical location did not change either.  He delivered us out of the kingdom of darkness and translated or transferred us into the Kingdom of His love Son. And where is this Kingdom? It's in the spirit realm. And we literally live here by our spirit. Get this, the spirit realm is more signif...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 20th MARCH 2026 BEHOLD THE NEW THINGS 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (KJV) Everyone who has received Christ as Lord is recreated in Christ Jesus (born anew or born again) and is like God in true righteousness and holiness. -- "Ephesians 4:24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness." He has no past, he is a new creature; a new species, a kind that never existed before. Yet although most Christians agree to this truth not everyone of them live in the light of it. But the blesssings thereof only manifest when one lives in the light of it. The Bible says "behold, all things are become new." Here is the challenge of some; refusing to behold and recognize the new things. Even though all things are new in the life of a Christian until he sees them he cannot enjoy them...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 19th MARCH 2026 DOES HE CARE?  Mark 4:35-36 That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, "Let us go over to the other side." Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him. (NIV) Jesus and His disciples were crossing over a river to the other side of it when suddenly waves came up against the boat. It was so strong that the boat almost capsided. The disciples were so terrified and then woke Jesus up who was sleeping at the rear. They asked Him "Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?"  Mark 4:37-38 A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, "Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?" They questioned if He cared even though they knew He did. At times when people find themselves in a pressuring situation,...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 18th MARCH 2026 PROSPERITY AND SUCCESS IS BY TALKING Joshua 1:8 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. (NIV) God said to Joshua "for you to be prosperous and successful keep this book of the law always on your lips and meditate on it day and night." This is not heart meditation but mouth meditation. God connects talking His word to prosperity and success. Oh that all of God's children would know and apply this! Many people want God to be directly involved in their lives, endeavours, business and the likes so that they would be successful and prosperous. But the way to bring God into the things that concerns you is through His word; through talking His word consistently.  A lot of people, even some christians want a guaranteed formula or recipe for success in life. But only few co...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 17th MARCH 2026 MAN SHOULD NOT LIVE ON BREAD ALONE Matthew 4:4 Jesus answered, "It is written: ’Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’" (NIV) Even though the Word instructs that man should not live on bread alone many live their lives on bread alone. Food is for the body. But man is not a body. His body houses his spirit (his real self). Earthly food sustains and keeps his body alive, and spiritual food (God's word) sustains and keeps his spirit (his real self) alive. And though he has two-self; outward and inner self to feed, he feeds only his body (outward self).  A child of God should not live on bread alone. A man who lives on bread alone cannot know let alone fulfill his purpose of coming to this world. Life is not meant to be lived on bread alone, true living is by the word that comes from the mouth of God.  True living is by God's word; words of revelation, w...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 16th MARCH 2026 FABRICATED FOR THE GOOD LIFE Ephesians 2:10 For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]. (AMP) The good life is the God life. Everyone who is born again is born with the good life. And he is sufficient to live it because he is fabricated and fashioned for it. A Christian shouldn't struggle to live the God life because it is his natural life. God recreated us in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live. Living the good life...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley  15th MARCH 2026 DON'T HIDE YOUR LIGHT Luke 8:16 "No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light. (NIV) You find people who are good in what they do; their endeavour or field of work but hidden. He is a good auto mechanic but has no shop. Another fellow is a great engineer but has no tools. They are good in their profession but hidden. Same is true of some Christians. One Christian is a light which is enough for the whole world but a hidden light makes no impact. Every Christian is a light but not every Christian is a shining light. Some are hid and shielded by life worries; what to eat, drink, wear, fame, self-imposed pursuits, and the challenges that follows them. Those who are supposedly to be light to their family, city, nation and world are hidden. For life troubles they hid their light. Don't hide your light. Cau...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 14th MARCH 2026 SHINE AMONG THEM Philippians 2:14 so that you may become blameless and pure, "children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation." Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky (NIV) At times we complain about the wrongs and evil happening around the world; the hatred, murder, theft, lies, betrayal, and the likes. These are only proof of darkness. And as children of God we are mandated to bear light in this world, and as such convey kindness, love, blessing, life, grace, truth and the likes.  The Bible says our generation is warped and crooked but that we should shine among men in spite of darkness. Darkness and its work will continue in the earth unless we shine and prevail over it. The condition of this world and the state of our lives depend on us to a great extent. You don't have to complain about the rate at which evil is growing in the earth, rather increase and intensify the...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 13th MARCH 2026 THE GOOD NEWS OF GOD'S GRACE Acts 20:24 However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me —the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace. (NIV) Every child of God has received a task to testify to the Good news of God's Grace. And the only true aim in life for a child of God should be to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given him. If every christian live for this how gloriously would the church advance every day! The Good News of God's Grace is every reason we are here on earth. We not only preach the Good News of the Grace of God but also live it. We came from the Good News; we are a result of the Good News (the Gospel) of Christ. In the Gospel we have salvation, righteousness, sanctification and redemption, and blessings untold. The Good News is our life. Our life is good news.  You think...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 12th MARCH 2026 WITHOUT GRUMBLING OR COMPLAINING Philippians 2:14-15 Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, "children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation." Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky (NIV) Grumblers are less effective in any given assignment or endeavour. They tend to see only things that aren't done properly, and also see themselves as targets of injustice. They feel they are unjustly maltreated. And resort to complaints. God doesn't want this kind of attitude for His children. He says "Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, "children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation." Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky" People complain against others for their own insufficiency. When they are given a task to carry out they compla...
