BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 26th JUNE 2026 GOD HAS POWER TO DO Romans 4:21 being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. (NIV) Coming towards the end of the year some might look back to what the Lord has done for them during the year and find that some promises, words or prophecies are yet to be fulfilled. Maybe at the beginning of the year or during the year you received a prophecy in the Word concerning what God would do for you in the year but now the year is almost over and nothing has happened in regard to that.  For Abraham it was the same. God promised him a son that would be his heir and also heir of the covenant and promise, but Abraham was almost a hundred years old and still had no son. Logically and all otherwise it was over, time had past him, he had become an old man. But Abraham didn't give up on God and His promise. He was fully persuaded that God had power to do what He promised. Romans 4:21 being fully persuaded th...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 25th JUNE 2026 HE WAS BORN FOR US Isaiah 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (NIV) Jesus' birth, death and resurrection was for us. He was born of man so we could be born of God. He put on flesh so we could put on divinity. He became man so we could become god. It was all for us. The above verse says "...and the government will be on his shoulders." Shoulder is a part of the body not the head. Jesus is the head of His body the church. The government, rulership and authority is on the shoulder of the church. He came to put us in government, rulership and authority. We put us in charge.  Jesus didn't need victory over satan. He was in the highest heaven far above all things, and satan was on earth under His feet. His victory over satan was for us. 1 Corinthians 15:...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 24th JUNE 2026 GOD HAS MADE YOU Romans 4:17 As it is written: "I have made you a father of many nations." He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed —the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not. (NIV) God spoke these words in the above verse to Abraham at the time he had no child. He said to him "I have made you a father of many nations." Notice he didn't say "I will make you a father of many nations." God speaks 'fulfilled-word', anything He says to you is actually His reality. God knew His word concerning Abraham was already fulfilled though he was yet to walk in it physically. Like Abraham God has made you. Whatever you desire to be or achieve He has already made it possible. Like Abraham you have to find that spoken word and hold on to it not weakening in faith through unbelief but strong in faith giving glory to God.  You may look into th...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 23rd JUNE 2026 REJOICE IN THE LORD ALWAYS Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! (NIV) The Apostle Paul writing to the Church in Philippi, said they should rejoice in the Lord always. He didn't say they should rejoice in themselves but in the Lord. That calls for spiritual insight.  It takes spiritual insight to see what we got in the Lord and rejoice. When you are ask to rejoice over something it means that it holds significance and value. No nobody would ask you to rejoice over something that's not to your advantage. We have everything to our advantage in Christ, and it is our responsibility to recognize them and rejoice.  Looking at your physical environment and, maybe the circumstances of your life you might have reasons to feel bad and dejected. But looking in the Lord and who you are in Him, you would find not only the glorious you but also answers to all your questions.  When ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 22nd JUNE 2026 FAITH IS A LAW Romans 3:27 Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. Because of what law? The law that requires works? No, because of the law that requires faith. (NIV) Faith is a requirement of the law of the Spirit. Faith is an attribute of the Holy Spirit, and as such an attribute of the recreated human spirit. Faith is a law.  Romans 8:2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. The law of Moses brought judgment and condemnation unto death, but the law of the Spirit brings life. Having been born again you have this law at work in you. You are under this law of faith; your legal function is by faith. Everything you do with faith is legal, and anything you do without faith is illegal. What then is faith? Faith is living in the reality the Word shows you; when the Word show you a reality live in it. This is the life of the righteous we are c...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 21st JUNE 2026 TELL OF ALL HIS WONDERFUL ACTS 1 Chronicles 16:8-9 Give praise to the LORD, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. (NIV) There are people who will spend time to tell you what they want God to do for them. But would hardly tell you what God has already done for them. When it comes to God some are only concerned about now and tomorrow, not remembering and testifying to the wonderful works God has been doing in their lives.  God loves praise! He would that you tell everyone who cares about His wonderful deeds in your life. There are people who like to hide the big happenings in their lives for reasons best known to them. But God doesn't like it when you hide what He did for you. He wants you to shout it aloud, even from the roof-top. The Word implore us in 1 Chronicles 16:8-9, Give praise to the LORD, proclaim his name; make ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 20th JUNE 2026 REFUSE TO BE ANXIOUS Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (NIV) Anxiety is a choice. You are worried not because you have a problem but because you chose to apply worry to your problem. When a problem surfaces the next thing would be your response. The problem does not condition you to be anxious. It doesn't control your response; your response is your own will. You can refuse to be anxious.  People worry about their problem not because of the magnitude of the problem but because they think they do not have a solution. If you know you have a solution you won't worry but simply apply the solution.  The Word of God counsels us, "Do not be anxious about anything," and then gave us ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 19th JUNE 2026 AN ATTITUDE OF THANKS 1 Thessalonians 5:18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. (NIV) There are thanks that God rejects. Thanking God with words or substance is not enough. An acceptable thanks requires a reverence attitude. Thanksgiving in words or with substance is worship. Our worship of God is more about our hearts than the elements used. Your words and substance; givings, presentations, gifts and offerings are elements of worship. And all of these could be a mere religious show if we don't apply the right attitude. We are required to give thanks in all circumstances. And this requires an attitude of faith and obedience. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. Maybe something unpleasant just happened, and then this scripture comes into your mind. It would take an attitude of faith and obedience for you ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 18th JUNE 2026 EFFORT IS NOT ENOUGH Ecclesiastes 9:11 I have seen something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all. (NIV) An irony we see on earth is a man who puts in all the effort he could to be a success yet after everything does not come close to it. Effort is good, it is required. But through man's history we can tell that it is not enough.  If all that's required to be successful and prosperity is effort and desire then a lot of people would have long made it. There is something extra. And anyone who truly wants to succeed in life needs to recognize it and walk in line.  Our theme scripture shows that being swift is not enough, being strong is not enough, being wise is not enough, being brilliant is not enough, being learned is not enough. There is something...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 17th JUNE 2026 YOUR PURPOSE IN YOUR GENERATION Acts 13:36 "Now when David had served God’s purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep; he was buried with his ancestors and his body decayed. (NIV) Everyone has a purpose to serve in their generation. You are on earth for a God-ordained purpose. The Bible tells us that David served his purpose in his own generation. And everyone should. David was king over Israel until he died but that was his position not his purpose. There is a difference between a position in life and purpose in life. David's purpose in his generation was to shepherd and lead people to serve God. Psalms 78:70-72 He chose David his servant and took him from the sheep pens; from tending the sheep he brought him to be the shepherd of his people Jacob, of Israel his inheritance. And David shepherded them with integrity of heart; with skillful hands he led them. Just like David and everyone else you have a p...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 16th JUNE 2026 SWAYED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT Acts 11:24 He was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith, and a great number of people were brought to the Lord. (NIV) This above verse refers to Barnabas. It says he was full of the Holy Spirit and faith. To be full of the Holy Spirit in this sense is not the same as to have or received the Holy Spirit. The communication is not to inform us that Barnabas had the Holy Spirit, but that he was filled; so full of Him such that he was swayed in a certain direction.  To be swayed means to be controlled or influenced. Barnabas was so influenced by the Holy Spirit such that his thoughts, words and actions were swayed by Him. He couldn't think, talk or act outside the leading of the Spirit. The result was, the Bible says "and a great number of people were brought to the Lord. Being filled or full of the Holy Spirit is likened to being drunk with wine. One who is drunk with wine is co...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 15th JUNE 2026 ALWAYS DO GOOD Acts 9:36 In Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha (in Greek her name is Dorcas); she was always doing good and helping the poor. (NIV) Dorcas was one of the disciples of the church in Joppa and was a very generous woman. The Bible says "she was always doing good and helping the poor." She devoted herself to helping the poor especially the widows. A time came that she too ill and died. The church (the disciples) at Joppa sent for Peter who was at the time at Lydda. "Please come at once." They pleaded.  When Peter got there all her beneficiaries especially the widows narrated to Peter how Dorcas had helped them. Each one of them showed him the clothes she bought for them. The whole community wanted her back to life. That's telling! That is how much being good can do.  Peter raised her back to life and presented her alive to them. Her good deed spoke for her. "A good name...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 14th JUNE 2026 WE TRUST IS IN HIS NAME Psalms 20:7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. (NIV) In this world different people have what they rely on. Some trust in their influence, some in their riches, some their parents, some their bosses, others their political power or position. As Christians our trust is in the Name of the Lord Jesus.  When we say we trust in His Name is not the same as having faith in His Name. Having faith in His name means whenever we use His Name its works. But trusting in His Name is trusting in His influence, power, presence, glory, grace and everything His Name represents. It is like when you come into a meeting in the name of the governor of your state. He sends you, you come in His Name. You are accorded the respect, privilege and honour that is due him. You are receiving his dues because you came in his name.  We do not only trust in the pow...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 13th JUNE 2026 SHINE IN DARKNESS John 1:5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. (NIV) It is not proper for Christians to join the world in complaining or grumbling about the evil and decadence in the world. A Christian is light, and God expects him to shine over darkness. God puts us here as bearers and sharers of light; we are answer, we are solution. Instead of complaining let us rise and shine. A light that doesn't shine in the darkness is not light at all. The true importance of light is seen in darkness. Light is illumination, revelation and answer. If you are not illuminating or giving answers to your world you have to examine yourself. Matthew 6:23 But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness! Examine your light. Work on yourself. Be a burning and shining light. Give light to your world. Shi...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 12th JUNE 2026 GOD IS NOT UNJUST Hebrews 6:10 God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. (NIV) Some of us have given our all to the course of the Gospel. We have put in all we got into the work, at times even beyond our ability. We serve in the church. We serve people wholeheartedly in and outside the church. At times when things seem not working we wonder. But God is a rewarder.  God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.  When you work for or serve a prominent person who has the capacity to reward you but doesn't you feel bad. Men could be unjust and forget your work and service of love but God is not unjust. This should give you confidence to keep working and serving in the Kingdom. You may look around you and not see number for number...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 11th JUNE 2026 SIGHT IS NOT A DETERMINANT 2 Corinthians 5:7 For we live by faith, not by sight. (NIV) The true state of things are not determined by sight. People who live simply by their senses find themselves in unending troubles. Anyone who live by sight falls into troubles he has no answers to.  What you see, hear or feel shouldn't control your words and actions, don't allow it dictate the outcome of your life. Life is not to be lived by sight because life is spiritual. Your sight and entire physical body was given you to live what you see in the spirit through the Word. Seeing in the spirit through the Word is seeing by faith. Living in the light of what you see by the Word is living by faith. Faith is a determinant. What you become, possess and do in this world is determined by your faith. If you are going to walk in the right direction, possess what belongs to you, do what you are destined to depends on your faith. I...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 10th JUNE 2026 YOU ARE UNPREDICTABLE John 3:8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit." (NIV) If devil knows your every move he would have tried his best to crush them all. For those who are not born again devil has information about their dealing to some extent but not everything. But for those who are born again he has no clue.  The born again; a person born of the Spirit is a wonder and mystery to satan, his demons and the world. He is unpredictable. The Bible says in John 3:8, The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit." Every child of God is like a wind that can't be caught, tamed, controlled or predicted. No devil can predict the next move or tomorrow of a Christian. You can do w...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 9th JUNE 2026 HE TOOK AWAY THE SIN John 1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! (NIV) Sin is not and should not be a problem for anyone in the world. Not just Christians but anyone. Because Jesus took away the sin of everyone that ever lived, living and will ever live. The problem of people is not sin but ignorance of righteousness. Back in the old testament bulls and goats were offered annually to atone for sin but they could not take away sin, rather it was an annual reminder of sin. Hebrews 10:3-4 But those sacrifices are an annual reminder of sins. It is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. Animals are lower creatures to man and as such could not atone for man's sin. Only an equal or higher sinless creature could atone for man's sin. God provided Jesus, a Lamb without blemish. Jesus willingly accepted to be t...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 8th JUNE 2026 GRACE IN PLACE OF GRACE John 1:16-17 Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. (NIV) God's idea from the beginning has been that man live by His Grace. That is, man shouldn't live by his own effort, wisdom and faith rather in the already-made blessings of God. When He created Adam He put everything in perfect condition in the garden of Eden and brought Adam in and asked him to take care of them, and to eat and enjoy whatever he wanted with one exception (the fruit of the tree in the midst of the garden).  He chose Abraham and made his descendant into a nation. He gave His Word (the law) which separated them from the rest of the nations under heaven. That separation was a statement of Grace. With that they enjoyed God's grace, blessings and favour which no other nation had access to. The Isr...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 7th JUNE 2026 LET NOTHING CHOKE THE WORD Luke 8:14 The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life’s worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature.(NIV) The word of God that comes to us has the ability to produce in and for us what it talks about. Our heart receives the word as seed even as soil receives the seed sown into it. But at times those seeds germinate among thorns. Those Precious seeds are then choked by thorns making them unfruitful. Life's worries are thorns that choke the word and limit it from producing what it says. When we receive the word we are full of joy and expectation. But then there are thorns called life's worries, riches and pleasures that choke the word if not fought against. What is life worries? Life's worries are worries about the necessities of life that one doesn't have.  It's good to have the necessities of lif...
