BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 7th JANUARY 2026 INVEST IN THE FUTURE Ecclesiastes 11:1-2 Ship your grain across the sea; after many days you may receive a return. Invest in seven ventures, yes, in eight; you do not know what disaster may come upon the land. (NIV) Your today was a future yesterday. How it is today is the result of your investment yesterday. How your tomorrow (future) will turn out to be depends heavily on your investment today. Invest into your future.  Whether or not you invest in your future it would come, but would come empty. As long as the earth remains the law of sowing and reaping will always apply.  The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 11:1-2, "Ship your grain across the sea; after many days you may receive a return. Invest in seven ventures, yes, in eight; you do not know what disaster may come upon the land." It says "ship your grain", but many people eat their grain instead. If you ate your seed you actually ate from your...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 6th JANUARY 2026 FOCUS ON IMPROVING YOURSELF 1 Thessalonians 4:11 and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you, (NIV) The Bible says to mind your own business. There are those who wouldn't mind only the things that concerns them. They have trained themselves to interfere in matters that doesn't concern them. A Christian should lead a quiet and peaceful life. The Bible used the word "lead" a quiet life. In other words, live a life that others can emulate.  Instead of being so concerned about other people's life how they are failing or succeeding why not focus on own life and on ways to improve yourself in order to be successful at the level you are at? Your life is your own business. Nobody is going to run it for you. And you can't run someone's else life for them either. The best way to make an impact in other people...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 5th JANUARY 2026 YOUR DREAM IS NOT GONE Exodus 2:11-12 One day, after Moses had grown up, he went out to where his own people were and watched them at their hard labor. He saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his own people. Looking this way and that and seeing no one, he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand. (NIV) When you discover that your heart yearn for a good course; a dream to fulfil, be sure it is God who puts it in your heart.  Moses had a dream in his heart to save the Israelites out of their hardship and bondage in Egypt. It was his dream to see them free. But he didn't know exactly how to go about it. One day he saw an Egyptian beating an Israelite under a hard labour, he killed the Egyptian and buried him. When the news became public he ran away from Egypt at the age of 40.  He ran away from Pharaoh who wanted to kill him and went to Midian where he settled, got married and became a shepherd. He for...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 4th JANUARY 2026 GLORIOUS AND UNSEARCHABLE THINGS Jeremiah 33:3 ’Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’ (NIV) At times people get stuck trying to get ideas for what they intend to do. Maybe idea on how to go about a business and they just don't know what to do.  A Christian shouldn't find himself in such a situation where he doesn't know what to do. All he should do is call. God says "call to me..." It is God who invites you to call Him and promise to tell you great and unsearchable things that you do not know. The word 'great' in our theme verse also means lofty, high or glorious. And the 'unsearchable things' means uncommon, hidden, set aside things that you do not know. There are glorious and uncommon set aside ideas you require to fulfill your destiny, to run your business, to be blessed and prosperous in life. And only God can tell you...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 3rd JANUARY 2026 IN THE ORDER OF THE LAST ADAM 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! (NIV) It's important to understand that the Christian is not an extension of the first Adam. He really has no connection with him. The Christian began after the first man had been Judged and executed. They didn't even cross paths.  The Bible tells us there is the first Adam and the second or last Adam.  1 Corinthians 15:45-48 So it is written: "The first man Adam became a living being"; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit. The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual. The first man was of the dust of the earth; the second man is of heaven. As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the heavenly man, so also are those who are of heaven. Jesus is the second and last Adam. He is the heavenly man a...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 2nd JANUARY 2026 THE PURPOSE OF THE SCRIPTURES John 5:46 If you believed Moses, you would believe me, for he wrote about me. (NIV) The Lord Jesus made the above statement referring to the law of Moses. He said if you believe the law you would believe me the law wrote about me. Think about that for a moment! When the law said "thou shall not steal" it was a description of Jesus who does not steal. When it said "thou shall not murder" it was a description of the righteous One who does not murder. The law wrote about the righteousness of God, Jesus Christ.  John 1:45 Philip found Nathanael and told him, "We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote —Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph." The law and even the books of the Prophets were about Jesus. They wrote about His Person and Purpose. But what exactly is the purpose of the scriptures, their writings? John 5...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 1st JANUARY 2026 IT IS ABOUT ETERNAL LIFE John 3:14-15 Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him." (NIV) When the Israelites grumbled against God and Moses in the wilderness God sent a venomous snake which bit and killed some of them. When they confessed their sins to God before Moses and repented, God told Moses to make a bronze snake and hang it on a pole that whoever got bitten by a snake and look at the bronze snake would live. Numbers 21:9 So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, they lived. The Bible likens this to Jesus being hung on the cross. John 3:14-15 Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him." Man had been bitten by his o...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley  31st DECEMBER 2025 RECEIVE MERCY Hebrews 4:16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. (NIV) God's throne of Grace is freely opened to us. Because we have Jesus as our High Priest we can approach God's throne of Grace with confidence. Mercy and Grace are available at the throne of Grace. Mercy here is not in respect to sin; as in pardon of sins, but God's tenderness and softness directed towards us.  God's mercy is care, patience, carefulness and concerns towards us. His mercy means we receive help we do not qualify for or even ask for. We are confident to approach God's throne of grace to receive mercy (help that we are not qualified for) because Jesus our High Priest offered Himself as a sacrificial offering procuring for us all that we would ever need. All we do now is to receive mercy and find grace to help in our...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 30th DECEMBER 2025 BE FULL OF PRAISE Psalms 7:17 I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness; I will sing the praises of the name of the LORD Most High. (NIV) Praising God is a conscious and deliberate act. One could easily be full of praise to God when everything is going well. There is that inspiration that follows good happenings. You naturally praise God when you got the job you wanted, you achieved your set-goals, have success in your endeavours. But it takes something extra to praise God when things seem really bad and going contrary to ones plan. It takes more than emotion to praise God. Praising God takes a different tune and tone when praising Him through difficult times. When everything is fine, one could easily be full of emotion towards God and mistake it for praises. As true joy is not dependent on emotions and favourable happenings even so true praises. You praise Him beyond circumstances. True praise ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 29th DECEMBER 2025 LEARN TO MOVE ON Genesis 26:22 He moved on from there and dug another well, and no one quarreled over it. He named it Rehoboth, saying, "Now the LORD has given us room and we will flourish in the land." (NIV) The above scripture refers to Isaac who dug wells in the place he lived at the time, which the people of that land confronted and quarreled with him over it. Though actually it was his servants who dug it. Genesis 26:19-22 Isaac’s servants dug in the valley and discovered a well of fresh water there. But the herders of Gerar quarreled with those of Isaac and said, "The water is ours!" So he named the well Esek, because they disputed with him. Then they dug another well, but they quarreled over that one also; so he named it Sitnah. He moved on from there and dug another well, and no one quarreled over it. He named it Rehoboth, saying, "Now the LORD has given us room and we will flouri...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 28th DECEMBER 2025 THE FRUIT OF THE LIGHT Colossians 1:13 who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of his love; (NIV) Having received Jesus as your Lord God has delivered you from the Kingdom of darkness and has translated you into the Kingdom of His Son, the Kingdom of light. These are two distinct Kingdoms with very contrary characteristics and manifestations. And are known by their respective fruits.  There are fruits of the light which justifies that one is living in this Kingdom. Both are spiritual Kingdoms and the only way to know which of them anyone belongs is the fruits he produces in his life. God requires us to produce the fruit of the light and it is natural for us, for we are children of light. Ephesians 5:8-10 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousnes...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 27th DECEMBER 2025 IT'S VALID FOR TODAY 1 Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (NIV) God has given us victory through Christ Jesus over every thing that opposes and it is valid for today over the circumstances at hand.  At times one may find himself in a situation that seem insurmountable, and look as though he has no option but to accept the fate. No! The victory He gave us is valid for today. There are those who have been sick for years, they prayed but didn't get any better. They claimed to have used their faith but no positive changes. And have settled to live with it. But the victory He gave us is valid for today. And every sickness has to bow to it. The way to approach opposing forces is to recognize that you have a legal and valid victory over them. Some things could be legal but no longer valid, but the victory He gave us through Christ is forever valid and i...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 26th DECEMBER 2025 THE OUTSHINING OF HIS GLORY Hebrews 1:3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. (NIV) The Bible declares that "Jesus is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being." What a declaration! He is the radiance, that is, the outshining of God's Glory. He is the manifestation and revelation of God's Glory. What is God's Glory? God's Glory is the manifested presence or Person of God. When God's presence or Person is made known is His Glory.  Moses said to God show me your glory. God's response was "you can't see my face and live, you can only see my back." That means what Moses requested of God in essence was 'God manifest your presence or Person, I want to see...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 25th DECEMBER 2025 MERCY AND BLESSINGS FOR EVERY DAY Lamentations 3:23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. (NIV) God allotted Grace, Mercy, Blessings and provisions for each and every day of our lives. They are renewed every morning and He is faithful to this. You cannot outspend the mercy and blessings of God. There is always more than enough for each day.  Every new day is a renewed love of God for us. Every day is an opportunity to receive His love, mercy and blessings anew. Every day presents you new mercy and opportunity to rewrite your wrongs and mistakes of yesterday. You don't have to wallow in your wrongs of yesterday, His mercy is new today and He offers you freely. God is faithful to your life; He is committed to see you enjoy the blessings and benefits of the Gospel every day. The problem has never been God, it has always been man's refusal to accept the simplicity of the Gospel and its truth...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 24th DECEMBER 2025 LOOK BEYOND APPEARANCE 1 Samuel 16:7 But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." (NIV) If you choose to know people by the flesh you have chosen to know their flaws, weakness, failures, insufficiency and all the negatives you could find in the flesh. The best of man is in his spirit not his flesh. The outward appearance of a man could be deceptive, it doesn't always communicate the true state of things. One may appear good when in reality he is not. Another may seem a bad person when he is actually not bad. God asked Samuel to go to the house of Jesse to anoint one of his sons to be king, and once he saw Eliab who was a tell, huge and giant man, he concluded he must be the Lord's anointed.  But God told Samuel not t...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 23rd DECEMBER 2025 HE IS YOUR SUFFICIENCY 2 Corinthians 3:5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; (KJV) God did not ask us to live in our own strength. What He asked us to do we cannot do in our ability. The life He gave us cannot be lived humanly. A man's failure begins when he put confident in the flesh; that is, his influence, affluence, opportunity, ability, riches according to the world's standards. One may have all these but still not get the job done. God does not only give you strength, nor does He only make you sufficient but He Himself is your sufficiency. You would find things that you are not able to do, task you are not sufficient for, obligations and responsibilities you are unable to meet but God is your sufficiency.  At times you look around and see all the things you have achieved and all you have been through, you wonder, 'how was I a...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 22nd DECEMBER 2025 HE IS EVER FAITHFUL 2 Timothy 2:13 if we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself. (NIV) God is faithful, that is, committed to His word concerning you and His plans for your life. He is committed to prosper you as He has declared in His Word.  If we are faithless, that is, not committed to what He ask us to do He will not for that reason become faithless following our leading. His faithfulness is an expression of His nature. He is faithful, that's who He is. He cannot disown Himself.  If you find that things aren't working in your favour or what He said to do is not done, it's not unfaithfulness on His part but that you are not faithfully following His faithful Word. Someone might say "I am faithful to His word." But that can't be true because if you faithfully act on His word it will most definitely produce results. The Word is ever faithful; it cannot fail.  If...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 21st DECEMBER 2025 UNTIL WE LEAVE FOR HEAVEN Ephesians 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (NIV) The conflict between light and darkness will not stop until we leave for heaven. The contentions against the church will not stop until we leave for heaven. Our fight of faith will continue until we leave for heaven. Therefore there is no letting down the guard.  At times when some people experience great victory they think it's all over but the battle cannot be over until we leave for heaven.  The Bible tells us clearly that we struggle, contend not against flesh and blood. That is, they are not human beings. They are spirit beings, spiritual entity, spiritual organization, spiritual body, spiritual forces of evil. And such they don't die. They have been defea...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 20th DECEMBER 2025 HE GIVES MORE GRACE James 4:6 But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: "God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble." (NIV) As a child of God you should never run out of Grace (Divine favour, ability and essence). Divine virtues, excellence, favour, ability and glory expressed through us is Grace. That means we have everything for everything as required.  But the manifestation of this grace is at different levels. And there are always higher levels to attain. God gives us more grace depending on what we did with the one we already have. You can't receive more grace if you hadn't done anything with the one you already received. Grace begets grace; but only the grace that you put to work. More grace is also received through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord -- 2 Peter 1:2. As you study and meditate on God's Word grace is multiplied in your life. As you listen to...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 19th DECEMBER 2025 SIT FOR IDEAS 2 Samuel 16:23 Now in those days the advice Ahithophel gave was like that of one who inquires of God. That was how both David and Absalom regarded all of Ahithophel’s advice. (NIV) In Bible days there were men who sat for ideas. They would sit for hours meditating over and over again; they actually played with their mind over and over again, seeing things in mental pictures. They usually find quiet place, keep around them ink and scroll. Once ideas came to them they put it down. Ahithophel was one of them. The Bible says of him in 2 Samuel 16:23 Now in those days the advice Ahithophel gave was like that of one who inquires of God. That was how both David and Absalom regarded all of Ahithophel’s advice. He was not a Prophet or a priest. Yet the Bible says "the advice Ahithophel gave was like that of one who inquires of God." In other words hearing the counsel of Ahithophel was like hearing ...
