BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 18th FEBRUARY 2026 HE TAKES SIDE WITH YOU Romans 8:16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. (NIV) It's like in a law court, the complainant brings charges against the defendant, then his lawyer comes out to take side with him; to speak for him.  The Holy Spirit is your lawyer; He takes side with you in the issues of life. He speaks for you.  Though you are born again negative thoughts and voices won't stop coming to you. And one sure thing it does is to condemn you; to make you feel and see yourself lesser than the Word says you really are. If you did something wrong that voice would sprang up and tell you that God's children doesn't do such, that you are not truly a child of God, making you feel terrible of yourself. But the Bible says "The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children." He takes side with you. In everything the Holy Spirit takes si...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 17th FEBRUARY 2026 AS HE IS SO ARE WE 1 John 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. (KJV) Reading this scripture blows the mind. The natural man would never accept its truth. Many would argue, 'how can you say we are as Jesus is?' But it's right there in the Bible. It's the Word that says so. Another reason people don't agree is that they don't really know how Jesus was when He walked this earth.  How was Jesus when He walked this earth? How different was His physical appearance from the people of His day? Physically Jesus was no different. He ate like everyone else, drank water, used toilet. Jesus was tired like everyone else, He was tempted, He was hungry, His clothes were dirty and He washed them. He was born a little baby and grew to become a man like everyone else. If Jesus walked the earth today He won't be ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 16th FEBRUARY 2026 BURDEN IS ESSENTIAL Matthew 11:28-30 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." (NIV) It's important to take note of what the Lord Jesus said in this above scriptures. He invites the weary and the burdened, and offers them rest. But He didn't stop there He asks them to take up His yoke and said "For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." He didn't say there is no burden but that the burden is light. Burden is essential. Someone has to have a burden, a concern, a pursuit. Something you live for. Everyone in the world has a burden. Everyone is living for something. But there are those whose burden wearies and are bent over with loads of life. Jesus says "my burden is light."  Inste...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 15th FEBRUARY 2026 PRAYER KEEPS YOU IN GOD'S WILL Matthew 26:41 "Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak." (NIV) Jesus during His days on earth prayed often, first for fellowship with the Father, second to keep Himself in God's will and purpose. His personal prayer to God was not of needs. He did not ask God for things. Understanding and committing oneself to this higher purpose of prayer is paramount to filling divine purpose.  Your prayer life should be much more than a means to ask things from God. You won't even enjoy the pleasure of praying if it's always about your needs. Just spend time talking to God about His goodness, mercy, love and blessings in your life. Worship, listen and enjoy His presence. Pray often in other tongues. Doing these keeps you in His will.  This is one of the reasons when you are praying to God about a particular t...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 14th FEBRUARY 2026 THE EXCELLENCY OF WISDOM Ecclesiastes 7:12 For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it. (KJV) Money is surely a defence. Money is surely an answer. Money does so much but it cannot give life. Money is a shelter as wisdom is a shelter but the excellency of wisdom is that it gives life. Money is a spiritual substance as wisdom is a spiritual substance but wisdom is a living thing. Money is indispensable on earth just as wisdom but wisdom exceeds time; that means unlike money wisdom will be required in heaven. That's the excellency of wisdom. God doesn't want His children to live without wisdom. Wisdom is life. There is the wisdom of men, wisdom of the world, earthly wisdom, but there is the wisdom of God. This is what gives life and makes men excellent and outstanding success in life. And this wisdom is freely given to us....

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 13th FEBRUARY 2026 THE EXPRESSION OF THE FATHER John 5:19 Jesus gave them this answer: "Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. (NIV) Jesus in His earthly days lived only to please the Father. His life was solely an expression of the Father. He talked and acted only as the Father would. He was an expression of the Father.  He did and acted out what He heard and saw the Father did. He was an earthly manifestation of the Heavenly Father; a visible form of the invisible God. When you saw Jesus you saw God. He was everything God. John 5:30 By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me. That is what it means to be Son of God. Son of God is not one born of God as in reproduction. But God in a human body; the expression or representation ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 12th FEBRUARY 2026 HE HAS BLESSED YOU 2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. (NIV) This above scripture is fulfilled. It's not actually a promise but what God has already done for you by Christ Jesus. And He is able to cause that blessing to manifest in your life such that in all things at all times you have all that you need and require no aid or support from anyone, and abound in every good work and charitable donation.  God's dream for you is that you have abundance so that you are not only sufficient but also able to finance the work of the Kingdom and help others too. Lack and want is not God's plan for His children. No one can fulfill God's purpose for his life through lack and want. In fact one of your purposes in life is to walk in the unsearchable riches of Christ.  The first step in walking...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 11th FEBRUARY 2026 GOD'S CO-WORKERS 2 Corinthians 6:1 As God’s co-workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain. (NIV) The grace we have received in Christ made us co-workers with God. We not only work for the Kingdom but also owns it. With that, we don't work for God but work with Him. A functioning Christian has the same interest for the Kingdom as God does. Our labour in the Kingdom transcends a desire for reward to a responsibility we owe.  Our fellow Christians are also our co-workers in God's service. If Christians embrace this fact that we all are about the same business there wouldn't be strife and fighting. Everyone would work for everyone, everything for the common good; the benefit of all. 1 Corinthians 3:9 For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building. God's field and building is the church. Every member is a tree in God's field. Every member is a living sto...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 10th FEBRUARY 2026 HIS WORD DOESN'T RETURN TO HIM Isaiah 55:10-11 As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. (NIV) If this scripture is true, and it is, then God's word concerning you that you haven't experienced is not because it is void of power or it becomes invalid, it must be for some other reasons. Based on this above scripture it means God's word concerning you that hasn't come to pass is still very much alive. There is no problem with what God has said to do in your life. The problem is not the Word. The Word will not return to God without fulfillment; the word concerning you is around you.  When a farmer ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 9th FEBRUARY 2026 DON'T PUT OUT GRACE Galatians 2:21 I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!" (NIV) The major problem of some Christians is not the challenges they face in life but not rightly applying the truth of the Gospel of Christ. A lot of them set aside the grace of God. No Christian can become anything without Grace, and humanity cannot exist without mercy.  Out of ignorance some set aside the grace God made freely available to them, yet they complain of the troubles they go through. The Bible says "for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing." Yet there are those who haven't accepted the righteousness of God that is by faith in Jesus Christ. They set that Grace aside; they put it out. Don't put aside God's grace in your life. There are manifold graces, that is, many-sided graces, or i...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 8th FEBRUARY 2026 FOREVER VICTORIOUS Acts 2:24 But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him. (NIV) Jesus' resurrection from the dead was the final piece of His victory for mankind. When He died He went to hell, defeated and disarmed Satan and his cohorts. And rose victorious; the icing on the cake. This great victory is for us. In Christ we are forever victorious. When He died; we died, we were buried with Him, when He defeated Satan and his cohorts we did, when He rose, we rose together with Him. The Bible declares "it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him." In Christ we have conquered death, satan, darkness and everything that binds or hurts. Romans 6:4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 7th FEBRUARY 2026 YOU HAVE THE WORD-NATURE James 1:18 He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created. (NIV) Relating with the truths of the Bible startles the mind. The natural mind cannot comprehend the truths the life of Christ has brought us into. Reading our opening verse blows the mind. "He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created." - James 1:18. Having been born of the Word you have the Word-nature.  The Word which gave birth to you is the same that was with God from the beginning. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. This is the Word that you came from. Think about it! What manner of person are you? You have the nature of the Word, thus, you are a word of God; an epistle of Christ, known and read by all. 1 Peter 1:23,25 For you have been...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 6th FEBRUARY 2026 GIVE EXPRESSION TO THE WORD Colossians 3:17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. (NIV) First you were born of the Word - James 1:18 says "Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures." Then, God expects you to express the word in whatever you do, whether in word or deed.  God gave birth to you by His word so that you could be an expression of the Word. Whether in speech or action; it should be an expression of the Word. Your purpose in life is actually to do the Word. If you approach life this way you would find yourself fulfilling God's dream for you. The Word mandates you to preach the Gospel, love, bless, heal and express God. If you do the word in accordance with these you would be fulfilling your purpose in life; for this is the primary pu...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 5th FEBRUARY 2026 THAT ROCK WAS CHRIST 1 Corinthians 10:4 and drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ. (NIV) The Israelites journeyed in the wilderness, drank from a rock twice, but did not know that the Rock was Christ. How telling this is! God does amazing and profound things seamlessly. How could the Almighty God manifest in a Rock? That's why He is God.  Exodus 17:6 I will stand there before you by the rock at Horeb. Strike the rock, and water will come out of it for the people to drink." So Moses did this in the sight of the elders of Israel. Water did came out of it. It was a spiritual drink (water), which means it was not an earthly water but the Israelites did not read any spiritual meaning to it. To them it was just another water but it was not. At times we take for granted the supernatural things that happen with us and around us. If o...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 4th FEBRUARY 2026 THE REQUIREMENT FOR SUCCESS 2 Corinthians 4:13 It is written: "I believed; therefore I have spoken." Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak, (NIV) A successful walk with God requires faith. Living a successful Christian Life and fulfilling an individual christian calling requires faith. Faith is the requirement for success in life.  A lot of people look for ways to make success out of their lives and endeavour, but faith is a sure answer. There is such a thing as 'the spirit of faith.' It is an unction of faith which works with the Word that is in your heart. You received faith when you got born again and when you meditate on the Word it stirs that faith to well up in you. That welled-up faith is the unction or spirit of faith, it speaks and produces result. That is what you require for success in life. Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to pleas...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 3rd FEBRUARY 2026 HE IS A REWARDER Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. (KJV) God rewards faith. Those who seek God do so because they believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder. Anyone who seeks God has faith in Him. If you seek God it is your response to His Word; it is an active faith. God is a rewarder of faith. Abraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness.  Keep putting your faith to work; keep acting your faith. Faith pays! People may not see the degree of your faith but God does. Enoch walked with God and did not see death. The people of his day did not know that His faith had reached the level of translation. Read this, Genesis 5:24 Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away. You might not know the reward your active faith is...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 2nd FEBRUARY 2026 HE FULFILLS HIS PLAN Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (NIV) God not only has plan for your entire life but also for your everyday life, week and month. And He fulfills His plans. His plans are good. They are plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. How beautiful and comforting it is to know that the Almighty God has plans for you.  Knowing that God has plans for you should bring you rest and peace. The next thing you should do is to find out what His plans are and allign your life with them. This is the point where a lot of people miss out in God's plan for them; not finding out what He planned for them. God's plan for every individual is in His Word. God fulfills His plan, but His plan that you are aware of. Even though God has plans to pros...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 1st FEBRUARY 2026 RECOGNIZE THE NEW THINGS Isaiah 43:19 See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. (NIV) If you would recall you will find out that you have always had changes whether convenient for you or not. Experiencing new things over the course of time spice life. God doesn't do same things with your life over a long period of time or at least not exactly the same way. God likes spicing your life. And in this new month He will start something new with you. He says "See, I am doing a new thing." He wants you to recognize what He is doing in your life. He will continue to bring forth new things in your life, and you will have to recognize them and follow thus. Otherwise you would not enjoy the blessings and benefits.  God never stop working in our lives. He continues to do new and greater things. Always He surpasses His ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 31st JANUARY 2026 DON'T BE DISTRACTED BY THEM Psalms 91:7-8 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. (NIV) The Bible is so straight forward in what it teaches us. Reading the above verse He didn't say there won't be opposition or challenges. He said they will fall by our sides. So we shouldn't be distracted by the opposition and challenges that may come our way. He already told us what would happen to them, and said they won't come near us.  Why would they fall at your sides? Because they are defeated before you. And He says you will see their punishment. The falling is their punishment. So don't let the defeat and falling of your adversary and adversity distract you. Their falling may sound like it is working against you but it's not true. Don't be distracted by them.  ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 30th JANUARY 2026 THE RECREATED HUMAN SPIRIT Ephesians 2:10 For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]. (AMP) The scripture above says we were recreated in Christ Jesus. That implies that we were first created, otherwise we wouldn't have been recreated. In Genesis the Bible tells us that God created man, Genesis 1:27 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. But man sinned and fell short of the glory and purpose of God, hence God had to recreate the human spirit. This time, man was created in Christ Jesus.  Your spirit within you is a brand new one, a type that never existed before...
