BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 28th AUGUST 2026 GUARD YOUR HEART AGAINST WORRYING Proverbs 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. (NIV) The Bible instructs us to guide our heart, and one of the things we should guard against is worrying. Your heart is your life. The state of your life is directly connected to the state of your heart. Once you are unrest inside it shows outside. Guard against worrying. The word 'guard' in the above scripture connotes setting something up to stop entering. It means to set up a guard on your heart to stop the contraries from going in. And one of your such contraries is worrying. The only thing you can set up in your heart to stop worries from going in is the word of God.  If you allow worries into your heart it will affect your whole life. Your life would be full of worries and unrest. Unrest in home, business, marriage, ministry, workplace, everything that concerns you would experience ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 27th AUGUST 2026 ORDER OUT OF CHAOS Genesis 1:2-3 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. (NIV) The Bible tells us that the earth was in chaos; it was without form and void, darkness was over the face of the deep. It couldn't be worst than that. But the Spirit of God was the answer. He moved upon the waters and God said let there be light and there was light. Two things are required to produce light (answer, solution); the Spirit and the word. How many people's lives are in chaos today! How many are tired of their situation, people around them and even themselves. Yeah, some are tired of themselves. Some got to a place where their life became formless and void. They just couldn't see any form (future, purpose) and all became empty, shapeless; no glory, no hope as t...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 26th AUGUST 2026 WALK OUT OF SICKNESS Matthew 8:17 This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: "He took up our infirmities and bore our diseases." (NIV) Christianity is living in the light of what the Lord Jesus has done for us. The Christian is not supposed to accommodate sickness in his body because Jesus took it away. The Bible says "He took up our infirmities and bore our diseases." So where does a christian get sickness from? From ignorance. He did not know that Jesus took infirmities and diseases to hell and left them there. Or he did not know that it is a now-reality. You can live in perpetual health. It starts with the word in our heart and then in your mouth. Never allow sickness in your body. It's illegal and is not real. It is not real because it's not in the place where you are in Christ. There is no sickness in Christ where you live. The sickness a christian suffers is a ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 25th AUGUST 2026 THE DAYS ARE HERE Acts 2:17 "’In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. (NIV) In the book of Acts chapter number two after the Holy Spirit came on the disciples and they began speaking in tongues the people around mistaken them for drunkards but Peter addressed them saying "this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel." In other words the days spoken of by Prophet Joel are here. Acts 2:14-17 Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: "Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say. These people are not drunk, as you suppose. It’s only nine in the morning! No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: "’In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all p...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 24th AUGUST 2026 THERE IS A SPACIOUS PLACE Psalms 18:19 He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me. (NIV) A spacious place is an environment of peace where there is no contention against you and your endeavour. This doesn't mean that there are no adversaries in this place but that they are defeated and paralyzed before you such that they are not factors.  When you come into a place and there are oppositions against you what God does is either subdue your enemy in such a way that they surrender and be at peace with you, or completely defeat them before you such that none of their weapon against you can prevail.  Isaac dug a well of water but the people of the land quarrelled over it, he left it for them and dug another yet they disputed about it also. So he moved on from there and dug another, this time no one quarrelled over it. And he said "Now the LORD has given us room and we will ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 23rd AUGUST 2026 HE TRAINS YOU TO FACE LIFE 2 Samuel 22:35 He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze. (NIV) Three things God has given us to live a successful life throughout our time here on earth; His Word, His Name and His Spirit. But if we are not trained to live in them we won't be the success He desires. Kind David said in our theme scripture "He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze." Back in David's days he went to war, physical war with other nations, and he said God trained him to fight and to bend a bow of bronze. In our day today, we don't go out for war as did David. But there are confrontations of life which are not physical combat but a fight to be a success for God with Gospel of Christ. He trains us to face them and win. You have to be trained to face life in order win, and only God can train you. A lot of people are scared of life. You would notice...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 22nd AUGUST 2026 IT'S A MATTER OF TIME Ecclesiastes 3:1,11 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: He has made everything beautiful in its time... (NIV) There are things in life that would not come to you until its time in spite of your desire and effort. Some things are time factor in life and until it's that time it won't happen, if peradventure it does happen it won't last because it's premature; it happened before its time. You might think you are failing in certain things and find reasons to back your claim; maybe your age, longevity of your pursuit of it but there is a set time for it. Maybe it's not yet time for you to start your own business, maybe you need more experience first. Maybe it's not yet time for you to marry, maybe!  There are things that only happen in life when it's their season. Maybe it's not the season of what you are pressing fo...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 21st AUGUST 2026 REMEMBER WHERE HE BROUGHT YOU Exodus 23:9 "Do not oppress a foreigner; you yourselves know how it feels to be foreigners, because you were foreigners in Egypt. (NIV) God instructed the Israelites not to oppress or ill-treat the foreigners living among them. He didn't say much, He said "you yourselves know how it feels to be foreigners, because you were foreigners in Egypt." God wanted them to remember that. A lot of times we don't remember where God picked us from, what we were and how we were. Some of us become arrogant and proud and put people into what they themselves were delivered from. The Israelites would have ill-treated the foreigners among them if God had not reminded them that they themselves were foreigners in Egypt.  We know what it is to be cheated, betrayed or oppressed but when some of us are privileged to get into a place of power we forget so soon and do the same to others. ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 20th AUGUST 2026 GOD CONSCIOUSNESS Jeremiah 51:50 Ye that have escaped the sword, go away, stand not still: remember the LORD afar off, and let Jerusalem come into your mind. (KJV) Jeremiah the Prophet gave this instruction to the Israelites who were in captivity in Babylon. He said in essence "though you are far from Jerusalem the city of God, and where His temple is, remember the Lord and let Jerusalem come into your mind." Though they were in captivity far away from their land there was the expectation for them to keep Jerusalem in mind. To live with the consciousness of Jerusalem because there was the temple of God; God's house. Often times the Israelites who were far off from Jerusalem would pray looking towards Jerusalem. Daniel in the book of Daniel would open his window in the direction to Jerusalem and prayed. They had that consciousness. Have a consciousness of God. Today we don't have to look towards Je...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 19th AUGUST 2026 HE LEADS YOU BASED ON YOUR MATURITY Exodus 13:17 When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them on the road through the Philistine country, though that was shorter. For God said, "If they face war, they might change their minds and return to Egypt." (NIV) Reading this above scripture it's amazing that God would lead the Israelites through the longest route even though they were in a hurry to get away from the Egyptians. God is more interested in the process and durability than quick results. There was a short road to the promised land yet He led them through the longest road where there was the red sea because of their level of maturity. God said to Himself, "If they face war, they might change their minds and return to Egypt." Because they were not matured enough. But with the red sea on that long route they couldn't go back to Egypt even when they desired to. They suffered throu...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 17th AUGUST 2026 LIFE IS FOR PLEASURE Psalms 16:11 You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. (NIV) It is clear from the book of Genesis that God didn't intend suffering for man. He created everything; all that man would need before He formed man. He didn't create man, and say to him 'wait while I make things ready for you.' no! He made sure everything was ready before bringing man into the scene. God didn't intend hardship. He placed everything in the garden of Eden and ask man to enjoy. Pleasure is of God. Suffering and hardship is clearly seen in Genesis 3:17 as a curse that resulted from man's disobedience. Pleasure is blessing, pleasure is of God. Pleasure is not the same thing as revelry. Revelry is self-indulgence. Revelry is eating, drinking and celebrating to satisfy the flesh, often it is placing so-called pleasure a...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 16th AUGUST 2026 BURDEN IS ESSENTIAL Matthew 11:28-30 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." (NIV) It's important to take note of what Jesus said in this above scriptures. He invites the weary and burdened, and offers them rest. But He didn't stop there He asks them to take up His yoke and said "For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." He didn't say there is no burden but that His burden is light. Burden is essential. Someone has to have a burden, a concern, a pursuit. Something you live for. Everyone in the world has a burden. Everyone is living for something. But there are those whose burden wearies and are bent over with loads of life. Jesus says "my burden is light."  Instead of carrying ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 15th AUGUST 2026 PRAYER KEEPS YOU IN GOD'S WILL Matthew 26:41 "Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak." (NIV) Jesus during His days on earth prayed often, first for fellowship with the Father, second to keep Himself in God's will and purpose. His personal prayer to God was not of needs. He was not asking God for things. Understanding and committing oneself to these purpose in prayer is paramount to filling divine purpose.  Your prayer life should be much more than a means to ask things from God. You won't even enjoy the pleasure of praying if it's always about your needs. Just spend time talking to God about His goodness, mercy, love and blessings in your life. Worship, listen and enjoy His presence. Pray often in other tongues. Doing these keeps you in His will.  This is one of the reasons when you are praying to God about a particular thing ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 14th AUGUST 2026 THE EXCELLENCY OF WISDOM Ecclesiastes 7:12 For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it. (KJV) Money is surely a defence. Money is surely an answer. Money does so much but it cannot give life. Money is a shelter as wisdom is a shelter but the excellency of wisdom is that it gives life. Money is a spiritual substance as wisdom is a spiritual substance but wisdom is a living thing. Money is indispensable on earth just as wisdom but wisdom exceeds time; that means unlike money wisdom will be required in heaven. The excellency of wisdom. God doesn't want His children to live without wisdom. Wisdom is life. There is the wisdom of men, wisdom of the world, earthly wisdom, but there is the wisdom of God. This is what gives life and makes men excellent and outstanding success in life. And this wisdom is given to us freely. 1 Corinthian...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 13th AUGUST 2026 VICTORY IS ASSURED Proverbs 21:31 The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the LORD. (NIV) God never promised us a life without trouble, in fact the Lord Jesus said in John 16:33 "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." He said there would be trouble, persecution and hard times but assured us peace in Him. He said there would be trouble but assured us of victory, for He said "I have overcome the world." Your victory is assured. There can only be one outcome for you in a situation or conflict of life, victory. You have a guaranteed victory over this world and all that it brings against you because Jesus gave you victory over it. Victory is your right, Jesus earned it for you. When things seem to be going contrary to what you want, don't behave as if you don...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 12th AUGUST 2026 JUST GIVE THANKS 1 Thessalonians 5:18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. (NIV) You have a role and a responsibility to give thanks to God in every circumstance. The circumstance may not be pleasant but just give thanks. You are not thanking God for the unpleasant situation but because it is His will. He said to give thanks in all circumstances.  You applied for a job but declined, give thanks. You want to get married but not forthcoming, give thanks. Your house rent has expired and the landlord is on your neck, give thanks. He said for this is God's will. He didn't say the unpleasant circumstance is God's will but that giving thanks is God's will.  God want you to look beyond the situation at hand and give Him thanks. That's what He wants from you, when you do you are obeying Him, and that's more important. He takes charge when you obey Him. He ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 11th AUGUST 2026 AN OPPORTUNITY FOR TESTIMONY 2 Corinthians 4:17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. (NIV) We won't have testimonies If we don't have challenges. Testimony results from our triumph over troubles, challenges and persecutions. We need challenges to scale higher. When trouble or persecution comes up don't fret, it's only an opportunity for testimony. Our light and momentary troubles achieves for us eternal glory that far outweighs those troubles. Troubles achieve glory for us. When people turn against you and put obstacle on your path, don't fret, it will achieve glory for you. Those who talk against you and conspire against you don't know that they are creating a mighty testimony for you. Testimony is created; it is achieved. It's a result of victory over contrary. You testify when you win. And it takes faith to win. You ha...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 10th AUGUST 2026 A FIGHT OF FAITH 1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. (NIV) Reading this above scripture is improper to interpret it as a warfare with the devil. A lot of Christians have the mentality that they are at war with the devil but that's not true; devil is under your feet defeated, paralyzed and disarmed. Some use such scriptures as the one above to support their claim. But this above scripture didn't suggest anything of such.  The Bible says "fight the good fight of the faith" It's a fight of faith, not a fight with demons or devil.  A fight of faith simply means to work out your faith irrespective of the contraries. It means to manifest the faith you profess irrespective of sight or feeling.  Apostle Paul said to Timothy "take hold of the eternal life to wh...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 9th AUGUST 2026 NOTHING SEPARATES Romans 8:38-39 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, [^11] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (NIV) Our oneness with God in Christ is His idea and design. He initiated it, it's what He wanted. He fashioned us such that nothing in all creation can separate us. While we were yet sinners He gave His only Son to save and bring us to Himself, and that because of His love for us. Having brought us into oneness with Him He wouldn't allow anything to separate us. If our sins could not stop Him back then, there is therefore nothing else that can now. We are the object of God's love. Even though all of creation is an expression of His love we are the highest expression of His love. We are so dear to Go...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 8th AUGUST 2026 NO OPTION TO HIM John 16:13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. (NIV) A Christian won't be confuse about life if he follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. It is only the Holy Spirit who guides into the truth. He brings you into reality. We only understand the things written down for us in the Bible because of the Holy Spirit. A Christian can only live the Christian life through the ministry of the Holy Spirit to him. There is no option to the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit speaks only what He hears, that is, He speaks revelation. He says things to us beyond the surface. And He tells us things to come. He tells us the future. A lot of times people find themselves in the dark wandering and wondering what the future holds for them. But the Holy Spirit shows us the future...
