UNLESS THE LORD BUILDS

Psalms 127:1 Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain. (NIV)

Do you ever wonder why people fail so miserably in life in spite of all their efforts? Some believe education is the key to success in life; the more educated you are the more successful you would be. But life has taught us over and over again that education doesn't guarantee success. 

Men fail in life because they refuse to give God His due place and role in their lives. Life belongs to God; existence belongs to God, everything belongs to God. Your life did not begin the day you were born of your mother; God saw you before this world began. He has a plan for you. You cannot have a plan for yourself outside His plan. That would be rebellion against Him who made you for His glory. Unless God run your life you would ruin your life.

Our theme scripture is very clear on what it says "Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain." - Psalm 127:1
Efforts and desire are not enough to be a success in life. With all their efforts yet men labour in vain, with all their carefulness they watch their life in vain. 

A successful life is one yielded completely to the Lord but some out of selfishness would tend to keep their life away from the Lord. They erroneously think they would become less; forfeit their ambitions and dreams if they give the Lord their all. But they do not know that "Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain..."
Don't labour in vain. Let God build your life.

PRAYER

Dear Lord I know me, I know I am nothing without you. You are my essence. Unless you build my life I certainly build in vain. Unless you watch over my life I watch in vain. More than ever I yield all to you withholding nothing. Amen.
