BEFORE PROMOTION


Daniel 3:30 Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in the province of Babylon.(NIV)


There are some promotion that comes with a test. The test is not from God but He allows it. The test is not to qualify you for the promotion but to test how mature you are to occupy such a position. 


The Bible says in Daniel 3:30 "Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in the province of Babylon"

Before their promotion was a great of their faith. Often the test that precedes promotion is a test of ones faith; it often has to do with ones faith in God. 

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego's faith in God was tested, and when they passed the test the king promoted them.


The king of Babylon had set up a huge image and decreed that everyone should bow down and worship it or be thrown into a blazing fire. But Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego wouldn't. 


Daniel 3:17-18 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up."

For their faith in God they put their lives in jeopardy. But God honoured their faith. God always honour faith.

Daniel 3:24-25 Then King Nebuchadnezzar leaped to his feet in amazement and asked his advisers, "Weren’t there three men that we tied up and threw into the fire?" They replied, "Certainly, Your Majesty." He said, "Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods."


An Angel of the Lord joined them in the fire and they were unharmed. The king asked them to come out of the fire, and he honoured and promoted them.


Before a promotion is a test, at times a life threatening test. When you are looking for a promotion there could be a test around, watch out! And if you are passing through an ordeal, it is a test that will lead to your promotion.


PRAYER


I count it all joy whenever I face test of any kind, because I know when I pass the test of time it would lead to my promotion. Every test that comes my way turns out for my advantage and promotion, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

(NIV) The Apostle Paul writing to the Church in Philippi, said they should rejoice in the Lord always. He didn't say they should rejoice in themselves but in the Lord. Chapter 2 Episode 2 LOVE FULFILS THE LAW Romans 13:8-10 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.
