HE WILL GIVE YOU REST

1 Kings 5:4 But now the LORD my God has given me rest on every side, and there is no adversary or disaster. (NIV)

There are people who have the desire to do much more for the Kingdom but are often hindered by many challenges and oppositions. They end up giving their attention, resources and energy to fighting oppositions, and consequently not able to fulfill their desire to further the Kingdom. 

King Solomon said that God gave him rest on every side. That was a necessary requirement to building the temple of God. He couldn't build the temple in a time of war. David had it in his heart to build a temple for the Name of the Lord. But he didn't have the rest to do so, he spent almost all his life fighting wars. 

Read what Solomon said; 1 Kings 5:3 "You know that because of the wars waged against my father David from all sides, he could not build a temple for the Name of the LORD his God until the LORD put his enemies under his feet.

At an old age when David finally gotten rest from wars it was too late to build God a temple. First, because He shed too much blood in God's sight. Secondly, time was against him -- he was old. 1 Chronicles 22:8 But this word of the LORD came to me: ’You have shed much blood and have fought many wars. You are not to build a house for my Name, because you have shed much blood on the earth in my sight.

Solomon proceeded to build a temple for the Name of the Lord his God because he had rest on every side. 
1 Kings 5:4-5 But now the LORD my God has given me rest on every side, and there is no adversary or disaster. I intend, therefore, to build a temple for the Name of the LORD my God, as the LORD told my father David, when he said, ’Your son whom I will put on the throne in your place will build the temple for my Name.’

You are reading this article, maybe you have always had the desire to do things for the Kingdom, to further the Gospel of Jesus Christ and haven't been able to do as much as you had wanted because of the many troubles here and there, don't fret, He will give you rest on every side. He sees your heart and will put everything in order so that you will be able to fulfill your part in the Kingdom expansion. 

He will give you financial rest, marital rest. He will give you rest in your job, business, family and on every side so that you can do what you intended to do for the Kingdom. 

PRAYER

Father you are the One who gives rest. I intend to expand the Kingdom here on earth and further the Gospel of Jesus, give me rest on every side, rest and victory over troubles, challenges, adversaries and adversities, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Chapter 2 Episode 2 LOVE FULFILS THE LAW Romans 13:8-10 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.
