JUDGING IS SOWING
Matthew 7:1-2 "Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. (NIV)
The above scripture is so clear on what it says. It implies that when you judge others you are sowing a seed for others to judge you.
A man of God who understands this once said "when people judge me, I asked myself 'Am I reaping or they are sowing?"
That's an interesting question. It shows an understanding; that when people are judging you it is either you are reaping for judging others in the past or they are sowing to be judged in their future. Desist from judging others.
People do not read conscious meaning into judging other people. When you judge others you are condemning them. You judge or criticize them because you think you are better than them, that you would have done or said what they did or said in a better way. And you actually judge them based on your own perspective of justice.
Quit judging others. Quit criticising others. Otherwise very soon you will start to reap the same. Judging is sowing, and sowing leads to reaping. Don't be deceived a man reaps whatsoever he sows.
Someone might ask, what if what they are doing is wrong? The question is how do you know it's wrong? If you say by the Word (the Bible). Fine, then, commit them to God (prayer) and to the Word and leave them with the Word. If you cannot do that, then leave them alone. Acts 20:32 "Now I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.
Often we criticize and judge people behind them not before them. How would they even see their wrongs if they were wrong?
Stop judging or you will be judged. If you find someone doing something you think is wrong pray for them, then talk to them. If you can't or won't do this then leave them alone.
PRAYER
Father it is not your intention that I judge others but that I live a life others can emulate. And to pray for those who err and show them the path of life in words and actions. I refuse to judge, You alone are the judge, only before you do people before stand or fall, for we all are accountable to only You, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
