GOD'S HOLY PEOPLE

Ephesians 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, To God’s holy people in Ephesus, the faithful in Christ Jesus: (NIV)

Apostle Paul writing a letter to the Church at Ephesus addressed them as God's holy people. He called them holy people. In our day we find those who say that no one is holy but God. Yes there is only one holiness. Holiness is not good behavior, good character, truthfulness, faithfulness or sinlessness. God is the only holy One, and He lives in us making us holy as He is holy. Where the Holy God is, is holy. Whatever He takes (person or thing) to become His own is set apart, consecrated unto Him as holy.

The utensils used in the tabernacle in the old testament were pronounced holy. People define holiness very differently from what the Bible teaches.

The Church is holy and full of holy people. Everyone who is born again is set apart, consecrated unto God in Christ as holy. Paul was bold to write "...to God's holy people..." 

The subject is not whether or not we are holy. We all are holy. The subject is we should live as holy (set apart unto God for His honourable work).

Our holiness is not our making. He made us holy; He washed us, sanctified us and justified us in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of God.
1 Corinthians 6:10-11 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Our Lord Jesus took the initiative to make us how He wanted us to be. He cleansed us by the washing of water through the Word, and presented us to Himself as radiant, without stain, wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. 
Ephesians 5:25-27 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.

As a Christian don't let people, even other professing Christians tell you that you are not holy. You are holy and righteousness and it's God who made you so. And the Word reveals so. Only the Word has the right to tell you who and how you are, no one else. Disregard anything anyone says that doesn't agree with what the Word says about you. 

Holiness is an ability; you are empowered to do much more when you walk conscious of your holiness in God. 

CONFESSION

I have been washed, sanctified and justified in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. I am holy, for Jesus has washed me with water through the Word, and made me radiant, without stain, wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless, and I am living in the light of it. Amen Hallelujah!
