RENEWED IN KNOWLEDGE

Colossians 3:9-10 Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. (NIV)

This above scripture clearly states that the Christian has taken off his old self with its practices and have put on the new self. This new self is in the image of its Creator but has to be renewed in knowledge to function accordingly.

Even though everyone who is born again is exactly like God his Father everyone doesn't live in that reality. Even though your spirit is a brand new one because you are born again your mind is the same. Your mind has to be renewed in the knowledge of who you are by your spirit. Your mind doesn't know that you are born again or a child of God unless you inform its through the Word. 

Only a Christian who has a renewed mind can fulfill God's calling upon His life. Only a Christian whose mind is renewed in knowledge of eternal life can live eternal life. It takes knowledge of God to live for God. 

2 Corinthians 5:17-18 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:

The new creation is the present, the old is no more, the new is here. Living in the order of the old is living what doesn't exist. All this is from God. Everything in the new creature is of God; his life, nature, righteousness, glory, riches and name are of God. Anything you could think of the new creature is of God, but he has to be renewed in knowledge of God to know, understand and live in the light of them.

You are of God. Your righteousness, life, past, present and future are of God. Get renewed daily in knowledge of His Word in order to live this truth to the full.

CONFESSION

I am in Christ, I am a new creature, the old is gone, the new is here. I have taken off my old self with its practices and have put on the new self, I am being renewed in knowledge in the image of my Creator; I am like God in true righteousness and holiness. Hallelujah!
