BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 22nd MARCH 2026 AVOID DISTRACTIONS Hebrews 12:2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (NIV) As a Christian your focus is very important. If you were very good in sewing but while sewing turn your attention to something else you would mess up that dress. If you think you are a sound Christian so to say but do not focus on Jesus and His word you can't go far in the walk. In a world where everything, both good and bad desires your attention you will need to be determine and deliberate to keep your focus on Jesus. The Bible says "fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith." This denotes turning attention away from something unto Jesus. Don't give your attention to everything that demands it. Be smart! God cannot use you without you being focused. And you ca...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 21st MARCH 2026 TRANSFERRED INTO HIS KINGDOM Colossians 1:13 who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of his love; (NIV) A Christian realising his real environment and living in the light of it is all important to his success, victory and effectiveness in life. The Bible says in our opening verse "who delivered us out of the power of darkness." So where exactly did this take place, in our house, workplace or street? It took place in the spirit. And it is our spirit not our physical body that was delivered. When He delivered us nothing visible happened in our physical body and our physical location did not change either.  He delivered us out of the kingdom of darkness and translated or transferred us into the Kingdom of His love Son. And where is this Kingdom? It's in the spirit realm. And we literally live here by our spirit. Get this, the spirit realm is more signif...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 20th MARCH 2026 BEHOLD THE NEW THINGS 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (KJV) Everyone who has received Christ as Lord is recreated in Christ Jesus (born anew or born again) and is like God in true righteousness and holiness. -- "Ephesians 4:24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness." He has no past, he is a new creature; a new species, a kind that never existed before. Yet although most Christians agree to this truth not everyone of them live in the light of it. But the blesssings thereof only manifest when one lives in the light of it. The Bible says "behold, all things are become new." Here is the challenge of some; refusing to behold and recognize the new things. Even though all things are new in the life of a Christian until he sees them he cannot enjoy them...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 19th MARCH 2026 DOES HE CARE?  Mark 4:35-36 That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, "Let us go over to the other side." Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him. (NIV) Jesus and His disciples were crossing over a river to the other side of it when suddenly waves came up against the boat. It was so strong that the boat almost capsided. The disciples were so terrified and then woke Jesus up who was sleeping at the rear. They asked Him "Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?"  Mark 4:37-38 A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, "Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?" They questioned if He cared even though they knew He did. At times when people find themselves in a pressuring situation,...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 18th MARCH 2026 PROSPERITY AND SUCCESS IS BY TALKING Joshua 1:8 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. (NIV) God said to Joshua "for you to be prosperous and successful keep this book of the law always on your lips and meditate on it day and night." This is not heart meditation but mouth meditation. God connects talking His word to prosperity and success. Oh that all of God's children would know and apply this! Many people want God to be directly involved in their lives, endeavours, business and the likes so that they would be successful and prosperous. But the way to bring God into the things that concerns you is through His word; through talking His word consistently.  A lot of people, even some christians want a guaranteed formula or recipe for success in life. But only few co...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 17th MARCH 2026 MAN SHOULD NOT LIVE ON BREAD ALONE Matthew 4:4 Jesus answered, "It is written: ’Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’" (NIV) Even though the Word instructs that man should not live on bread alone many live their lives on bread alone. Food is for the body. But man is not a body. His body houses his spirit (his real self). Earthly food sustains and keeps his body alive, and spiritual food (God's word) sustains and keeps his spirit (his real self) alive. And though he has two-self; outward and inner self to feed, he feeds only his body (outward self).  A child of God should not live on bread alone. A man who lives on bread alone cannot know let alone fulfill his purpose of coming to this world. Life is not meant to be lived on bread alone, true living is by the word that comes from the mouth of God.  True living is by God's word; words of revelation, w...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 16th MARCH 2026 FABRICATED FOR THE GOOD LIFE Ephesians 2:10 For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]. (AMP) The good life is the God life. Everyone who is born again is born with the good life. And he is sufficient to live it because he is fabricated and fashioned for it. A Christian shouldn't struggle to live the God life because it is his natural life. God recreated us in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live. Living the good life...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley  15th MARCH 2026 DON'T HIDE YOUR LIGHT Luke 8:16 "No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light. (NIV) You find people who are good in what they do; their endeavour or field of work but hidden. He is a good auto mechanic but has no shop. Another fellow is a great engineer but has no tools. They are good in their profession but hidden. Same is true of some Christians. One Christian is a light which is enough for the whole world but a hidden light makes no impact. Every Christian is a light but not every Christian is a shining light. Some are hid and shielded by life worries; what to eat, drink, wear, fame, self-imposed pursuits, and the challenges that follows them. Those who are supposedly to be light to their family, city, nation and world are hidden. For life troubles they hid their light. Don't hide your light. Cau...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 14th MARCH 2026 SHINE AMONG THEM Philippians 2:14 so that you may become blameless and pure, "children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation." Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky (NIV) At times we complain about the wrongs and evil happening around the world; the hatred, murder, theft, lies, betrayal, and the likes. These are only proof of darkness. And as children of God we are mandated to bear light in this world, and as such convey kindness, love, blessing, life, grace, truth and the likes.  The Bible says our generation is warped and crooked but that we should shine among men in spite of darkness. Darkness and its work will continue in the earth unless we shine and prevail over it. The condition of this world and the state of our lives depend on us to a great extent. You don't have to complain about the rate at which evil is growing in the earth, rather increase and intensify the...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 13th MARCH 2026 THE GOOD NEWS OF GOD'S GRACE Acts 20:24 However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me —the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace. (NIV) Every child of God has received a task to testify to the Good news of God's Grace. And the only true aim in life for a child of God should be to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given him. If every christian live for this how gloriously would the church advance every day! The Good News of God's Grace is every reason we are here on earth. We not only preach the Good News of the Grace of God but also live it. We came from the Good News; we are a result of the Good News (the Gospel) of Christ. In the Gospel we have salvation, righteousness, sanctification and redemption, and blessings untold. The Good News is our life. Our life is good news.  You think...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 12th MARCH 2026 WITHOUT GRUMBLING OR COMPLAINING Philippians 2:14-15 Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, "children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation." Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky (NIV) Grumblers are less effective in any given assignment or endeavour. They tend to see only things that aren't done properly, and also see themselves as targets of injustice. They feel they are unjustly maltreated. And resort to complaints. God doesn't want this kind of attitude for His children. He says "Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, "children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation." Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky" People complain against others for their own insufficiency. When they are given a task to carry out they compla...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 11th MARCH 2026 RIGHTEOUSNESS REVEALED IN THE GOSPEL Romans 1:17 For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed —a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith." (NIV) The reason for sin, moral deficiency, failure and oppression of the devil is the absence or ignorance of righteousness. God's righteousness is the answer for riches, blessings, power, dominion and light. Righteousness makes you everything God wants you. And it is revealed and received through the Gospel.  The various governments and institutions in the world set up laws to have people do the right things and make their society secure and safe to live in. Yet all their laws and regulations, and the severe punishments for offenders could not make people do what is right. The only thing that makes a man do right is God's nature of righteousness. And it is a gift revealed in the Gosp...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 10th MARCH 2026 DO NOT BE AFRAID Revelation 1:17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: "Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. (NIV) In life we face things that at times make us afraid, even things intended for our good like John the revelator who saw Jesus and became afraid. Yes, he was full of awe of Jesus but He was also full of fear. Fear has a connection with lack of precise knowledge. Jesus said to him "Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last."  And He says the same to you today, "Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last." Fear paralyzes; it keeps one at a place, unmotivated and unwilling. Fear keeps one away from God's best. So much is lost to fear. But knowledge of the truth produces faith, and faith conquers fear.  Jesus said "I am the First and the Last, don't be afraid." You are in between Him. He is b...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 9th MARCH 2026 LOVE IS AN ANSWER Proverbs 10:12 Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrongs. (NIV) There is actually only one reason for the conflict and fight in the world; absence of love. Hatred breeds conflict. If you had a conflict or disagreement with someone it would flair up in a moment if you nurture hatred or resentment towards the fellow. Hatred accelerate conflict but love covers over all wrongs. Love is an answer.  Love is the answer to the fight and feud in the world. If someone did something that offends you don't harbour hatred or plan on revenge, that's not the answer, respond in love. Don't create space in your heart to keep the wrongs done to you it harms you than it does the opposite fellow. Forgive and let your love cover over it. Love covers over all wrongs. If you find it difficult to let go of the wrongs done to you that means you have got to grow your love some more. Your heart of ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 8th MARCH 2026 GOD SPECIALIZES IN BLESSING Isaiah 51:2 look to Abraham, your father, and to Sarah, who gave you birth. When I called him he was only one man, and I blessed him and made him many. (NIV) Blessing is synonymous with God. He loves to bless. He is more willing to bless us than we are willing to be blessed. Blessing is God's idea. When you read through the scriptures you would find that all the people who walked with God faithtully were so blessed of God. In fact in Bible days blessing was a mark of those who served God, and the same is true today. Listen to God's words in our theme verse again, Isaiah 51:2 look to Abraham, your father, and to Sarah, who gave you birth. When I called him he was only one man, and I blessed him and made him many. Oh there is so much to this! First, He is saying look at Abraham and Sarah examples of the blessed. When I called him he was only one man, and I blessed him and made him ma...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 7th MARCH 2026 EXOUSIA AND DUNAMIS Mark 16:17-18 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” (NIV) The Lord Jesus said in His Name we can drive out demons; speak in new tongues; pick up snakes with our hands; and when we drink deadly poison it will not hurt us at all; we will place our hands on sick people, and they will get well. But how is this possible? Through His authority and power. The authority and power He gave us is actually Exousia and Dunamis in Greek word respectively. Exousia means lawful authority to occupy a position of superiority. While Dunamis is a divine and dynamic ability or power to cause changes. Exousia is being lawful to do something, while Dunamis is an ab...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 6th MARCH 2026 YOUR FAITH IS YOUR VICTORY 1 John 5:4 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. (NIV) This verse above implies that for you to enjoy your victory in Christ requires your faith. Although everyone who is born of God overcomes the world living perpetually in that victory has to do with personal faith. Everyone who is born of God has equal victory over the world, satan and his evil works. But it's obvious that not every Christian is enjoying or experiencing this victory. And that because the level of victory you enjoy or experience is dependent on your personal faith. When you got born again you were born with faith. But that faith is a seed, and it cannot do everything you would have to do in this world, it won't be enough to win over every contention. You have a responsibility to grow your faith by continuously and consistently feeding on the ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 5th MARCH 2026 LIVE ABOVE IT Galatians 5:24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. (NIV) The flesh has its passions and desires. Those ruled by the flesh are eventually ruined by the flesh. Don't let the flesh control you. The flesh refers to your outward self or human body without the Holy Spirit. You have an inward self and outward self. Even though you are born again and the Holy Spirit dwells in your inward self, if your outward self is not subdued to your inward self it would control you. The flesh (your outward self) always seeks to dominate you. If allowed it would rule over you even though you are born again and when it does rule it ruins.  Those who belong to Christ (those born again) have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If you don't know and walk in the consciousness of this as your reality the passions and desires of the flesh would still be exp...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 4th MARCH 2026 PRAYER IS A SOLUTION James 5:13 Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. (NIV) When some people find themselves in a precarious situation and in search of solution, and you say let us pray about it. They look at you and say 'I am talking about a serious problem that needs a serious solution and you are saying let us pray.' That's how some people reason. But prayer is a solution; a powerful and quick one.  The Bible says "Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray." This is God's solution to problem. He didn't say 'Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them cry, beg, run around or look for money.' Prayer is God's remedy for you in time of trouble. If you find yourself in a problem prayer is what you should employ. To some people prayer is for those who has no option or for the weak. They think you pray because you don'...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 3rd MARCH 2026 INCUBATE Genesis 1:2 The earth was without form and an empty waste, and darkness was upon the face of the very great deep. The Spirit of God was moving (hovering, brooding) over the face of the waters. (AMP) The condition of the earth before the Spirit of God brood over it was pathetic. The one word to describe it is 'chaos.' The Bible says "the earth was without form, empty and darkness was over it." It couldn't be worst than that. God's answer to it was His Spirit. His Spirit hovered, brood over the face of the water. What the Spirit actually did was to incubate over the water; that means to hatch or develop. By incubating He created a condition conducive to bring forth light and orderliness.  When a situation becomes chaotic; empty and without form, incubate. When you look and see only contraries incubate. Incubate; hatch or develop a spiritual atmosphere conducive to bring forth what you...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 2nd MARCH 2026 ROOM TO FLOURISH Genesis 26:22 He moved on from there and dug another well, and no one quarreled over it. He named it Rehoboth, saying, "Now the LORD has given us room and we will flourish in the land." (NIV) Isaac dug a well but his neighbouring enemies quarreled over it. He left it for them, moved on and dig another one. But they disputed with him over it also. Again he left it for them, moved on and dug another. This time no one quarreled over it, so he named it Rehoboth, saying, "Now the LORD has given us room and we will flourish in the land." The requirement for flourishing is a room given by God. It comes with rest, and victory over the enemies. Until God gives one rest and room to flourish struggles and contentions continues. A 'room' in our text scripture actually denotes a large and spacious place. And it means freedom and victory over enemies and every contrary. This is what you...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 1st MARCH 2026 BLESSED BEYOND WORDS 2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. (NIV) Being a Christian you are blessed beyond words. God has blessed you abundantly such that in all things at all times you have all that you need, and abound in every good work. Think about that!  We cannot sufficiently explain in words how much God has blessed us. Even our experience of the blessings cannot even explain it all. I am sure when we get to heaven we would be able to see a great deal of our blessings. Imagine a life where you have everything you need every time not depending on anyone or anything! That's how much God has blessed you.  Let's read our theme scripture again, this time in Amplified translation: 2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance,...
