BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 31st JULY 2024 DON'T BE DISTRACTED BY THEM Psalms 91:7-8 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. (NIV) The Bible is so straight forward in what it tells us. Reading the above verse He didn't say there won't be opposition or challenges. He said they will fall by our sides. So we shouldn't be distracted by the opposition and challenges that may come our way. He already told us what would happen to them, and said they won't come near us.  Why would they fall at your sides? Because they are defeated before you. And He says you will see their punishment. The falling is their punishment. So don't let the defeat and falling of your adversary and adversity distract you. Their falling may sound like it is working against you, but it's not true. Don't be distracted by them.  Anot

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 30th JULY 2024 THE RECREATED HUMAN SPIRIT Ephesians 2:10 For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]. (AMP) The scripture above says we were recreated in Christ Jesus. That implies that we were first created, otherwise we wouldn't have been recreated. In Genesis the Bible tells us that God created man, Genesis 1:27 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. But man sinned and fell short of the glory and purpose of God, hence God had to recreate the human spirit. This time, man was created in Christ Jesus.  Your spirit within you is a brand new one, a type that never existed before. T

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 29th JULY 2024 DECLARED NOT GUILTY Acts 13:38-39 "Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses. (NIV) When the scripture says "set free from every sin" it means set free from every accusation of sin. That means declared not guilty; justified. In Christ, you are justified from every accusation of sin. It is as if you were brought before a law court. And your accuser presented his accusations against you saying, you did this and that, you said this and that. But upon thorough investigation the judge declared you not guilty of the charges labeled against you. That's what happened with you in Christ.  Through Jesus Christ you have remission of sins. Through Him you are justified, set free from every sin and declared not guilty. A

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 28th JULY 2024 THE STATE OF A SINNER Ephesians 2:12 remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world. (NIV) Reading this above scripture and seeing the state of a sinner should inspire us to go out and win them for Christ. They are the reason Jesus died. Matthew 9:13 But go and learn what this means: ’I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." He came to call sinners out of their state of doom.  Apostle Paul speaking to the Ephesian church in Ephesians 2:12, reminded them of the state they were before they received Jesus and got saved. It's a state or condition you shouldn't wish anybody. He said "remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise,

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 27th JULY 2024 LOOK AWAY FROM THEM Hebrews 12:2 Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God. (AMP) In a world where there are many things that seeks to distract, one has to deliberately keep focus on Jesus. Things that would distract you would come freely, you will have to make conscious effort to look away from them.  Hardship or hard times could be a distraction from what the Lord has laid in your heart to accomplish. Good things and good times could be distraction also. You have to manage what you give attention to. It might seem good but could be distracting. The Bible says "Looking away

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 26th JULY 2024 ALL YOU REQUIRE Numbers 14:8 If the LORD is pleased with us, he will lead us into that land, a land flowing with milk and honey, and will give it to us. (NIV) When the twelve returned whom Moses had sent to explore the land they wanted taken over, ten of them gave Moses and the Israelites a very bad and distressing report.  Read Numbers 13:27-28,31, "They gave Moses this account: "We went into the land to which you sent us, and it does flow with milk and honey! Here is its fruit. But the people who live there are powerful, and the cities are fortified and very large. We even saw descendants of Anak there. But the men who had gone up with him said, "We can’t attack those people; they are stronger than we are." Then Joshua and Caleb who were among the twelve spoke up and pin-pointed all that they required. They said "If the LORD is pleased with us,..."  Numbers 14:6-8 Joshua son of Nun and

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 25th JULY 2024 THE HAPPENING DOESN'T DEFINE YOU Judges 6:12 When the angel of the LORD appeared to Gideon, he said, "The LORD is with you, mighty warrior." (NIV) Don't let the happenings around you define you, if you do you will be subject to them and unable to change them. But define or change the happenings around you by recognizing and applying who you are in Christ.  When the angel of the LORD appeared to Gideon, he said, "The LORD is with you, mighty warrior." Gideon had become so subject the happenings around him and all his experiences. With this he belittle himself. He allowed the happenings to define him. He will understand this from his response to the angel, in Judges 6:13, "Pardon me, my lord," Gideon replied, "but if the LORD is with us, why has all this happened to us? Where are all his wonders that our ancestors told us about when they said, ’Did not the LORD bring us up out
