TAKE A STEP TO GREATNESS Chapter 1 Episode 2

   3. OBEDIENCE: 

Living a life of obedience in Christ can help you know where you belong in the plan of God. Obedience is an act of carrying out orders, instructions, commands not necessarily seeking how it will benefit you.

 Abraham obeyed God when God spoke to him and said; “leave your country, your people and your father’s household and go to the land I will show you.” Genesis 12:1. Abraham obeyed God; he left his country, people and relatives without having an idea of where he was going. He never sought after his own benefits. When God also demanded him to sacrifice his son Isaac he never restrained, but resolved to offer his only son as a sacrifice not seeking his own benefit. What an act of complete obedience. The obedience of Abraham played a part in fulfilling who God created him to be (the father of many nations). To your offspring I will give this land---God promised him.

 Your obedience to God will also play a role in fulfilling who God designed you to be. 

 But if you carefully obey his voice and do all that I say, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries. Exodus 23:22.

 If you are willing and obedience you shall eat the good of the land. Isaiah 1:19

 And you shall do what is right and good in the sight of the Lord, that it may go well with you and that you may go in and take possession of the good land that the Lord swore to give to your fathers. Deuteronomy 6:18

 There is a sure reward and uplifting in obedience to God. To discover your purpose and be successful in life you must obey God's word.


  4. LOVE WHAT YOU DO:  

Love and passion for what you do can help you realize what your purpose is. Passion in itself can help you discover something special in you. If you don’t like your work, career and whatever you do, it can not really give God glory. God desires to take glory in what you do. He also wants you to enjoy what you do.

 If what you do is destroying your peace and not giving you a stable mind, then there is a problem. Because He said; 
     
     Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. John 14:27. 

     ...he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. James 1:8.

 Do you like what you do? Are you satisfied with what is in your hand?
 Do you have peace in what you are doing? When you love your work you work with joy and gladness.

5. FASTING AND PRAYER: 

If you really want to discover your life purpose, don’t neglect prayer and fasting. Jesus started with prayer and ended with prayer. Remember prayer is the master key, prayer opens doors, reveals secrets, brings light, makes way where there is no way.
 
 In Mark 9:29 Jesus said; this kind cannot be driven out by anything but prayer. 

 There are secrets of God you can only know by fasting and praying. You may never discover yourself, your assignment and purpose on earth unless you ask God. If you have a torn clothe, will you give it to a carpenter to repair it for you? No! You will give it to a tailor. So if you have issues with your life you can only consult the creator of the life, God Almighty.

 While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said; set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them. Acts 13:2

 For the Holy Spirit to speak and set you apart for the work you have been called to do you need to fast and pray.
    
    Seek the Lord while He may be found. Call upon Him while He is near. Isaiah 55:6.

    I urge you to seek God in prayers and fasting concerning that marriage, heart desire, purpose and special calling on your life. You have to know and fulfill what God has created you for so that you may not labour in vain on another man’s field.

 I pray that God will reveal yourself to you before you continue the next chapter in Jesus name. Amen.

Chapter 2 Episode 2 LOVE FULFILS THE LAW Romans 13:8-10 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. The commandments, "You shall not commit adultery," "You shall not murder," "You shall not steal," "You shall not covet," and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: "Love your neighbor as yourself."
