TAKE A STEP TO GREATNESS Chapter 2 Episode 2

EPISODE 2

Talents are HIDDEN because of the following seven reasons:-

1. Laziness: Some are too lazy to be successful. They see it too stressful to reach certain goals in life, for their laziness they see certain levels unattainable. They lose battle before the fight begins. They always claim; "if it were like this, I could have done it; if it were like that I could have done it." They are not always ready to fight or stand in their present condition. They always wish and suggest different weather or atmosphere, they are really too lazy to use their talents.

 They always day-dream, never really putting their hands to work or put in effort to succeed. They only wish and expect a miracle that will never exist.

The soul of the sluggard craves and gets nothing while the soul of the diligent is richly supplied. Proverb 13:4

For even when we were with you, we would give you this command if anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat. 2 Thessalonians 3:10

 Whoever is slack in his work is a brother to him who destroys. Proverbs 18:9

 If you really want to succeed in whatever you are doing, you must be diligent and hard working. I want to remind you that 'manner will not fall from heaven again' -- the last manner that fell down from Heaven is Jesus. Focus on him and be ready to work.

 Love not sleeps, lest you come to poverty open your eyes and you will have plenty of bread. Proverbs 20:13.

 Do you really want to take a step to greatness? Then, wake up and don’t be lazy. Great people are diligent people.

   2. Power of Darkness: Do not be ignorant of the power of darkness and its devices. If you are determined to be great in life, if you want to take a step forward in life, you must realize that there are powers that work against successes in life. Principalities and powers are fighting to hide your talents, to keep you in obscurity, so you must stand your ground in warfare prayers. Everything that happens in the physical has already taken place in the spiritual. If you believe this, then ask yourself, "How did bad things come into my life?" The simple answer is 'the Devil'; He manipulated them, he engineered them, he made those troubles and pains come to manifestation in your life. Why? It’s because you neglected the powers of darkness. For your destiny not to be hidden by the power of darkness you need to pray. If your talent is hidden already by those forces of darkness you need to pray fervently. You need to fight.

 Be sober-minded: be watchful your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8

 Be at alert, be watchful, be prayerful, be ready, because your enemy of progress - the devil is moving here and there seeking to devour your talent, destiny, marriage, business and future. 

    For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the comic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the Heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12

 Submit yourself therefore to God Resist the devil and He will flee from you. James 4:7

3.Poverty: Lack of money or poverty has cost people their life assignment and have really robbed the society of future great men and women. Men who supposed to be future great leaders are incapacitated due to lack of financial ability to push on to their destination.

 It’s quite obvious that money plays a significant role in achieving or attaining success in life. I discovered one thing; poor people are often gifted and talented. Most poor people actually die without showcasing these gifts or talents in them just because of poverty - lack of money.

 What did God actually say about money? The earth belongs to God and everything that is in it.

    Silver and gold are mine, wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever. Psalms 112:3

 Humility and the fear of the lord, brings wealth and Honor and life. Psalm 22:4

 The lord has blessed my master abundantly and he has become wealthy. He has given him sheep and cattle, silver and gold, menservants, maidservant, camels and donkeys. Genesis 24:35

 The blessing of the lord bring wealth and he adds no trouble to it Proverbs 10:22

 A good man leaves an inheritance for his children’s children, but a sinner’s wealth is store up for the righteous. Proverbs 13:22

 Please what do you think of the above scriptures? Do you think God has destined you to be poor? The blessing of God makes a man rich and adds no sorrow to it. If you are not living in the riches of God, I think you don’t have the blessing of God.

 A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children. Don’t you think God has an inheritance for you? He has some silver and gold somewhere for you. Poverty cannot actually bring out the glory that God wants to take in your life.

 However, if you do not obey the Lord your God and do not carefully follow all his commands and decrees I am giving you today, all these curses will come upon you and overtake you. Deuteronomy 28:15.

 Poverty comes as a result of curse and curses come as a result of disobedience.

 Make it a point to obey God and follow his ways. Wherever you are right now start rebuking every spirit of poverty over your life in Jesus name.

4. Cost and Suffering: 

Some hide their God-given talents and abilities because they don’t want to labor to fulfill it. They neglect hardworking that will cost them pain; people are not ready to suffer to achieve success. If you don’t pay a price for something it really has no value. There is always a price to pay not everyone will tell you this truth.

 Youths of our days, most especially those from poor homes wants to live and talk like rich people, but don’t want to labor like rich people.

 Success costs a lot, if you are not ready to pay the price then you are simply not ready to be successful.

 Not only so, but we also rejoice in our suffering because we know that suffering produces perseverance. Romans 5:3

 And after you have suffered a little while the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen and establish you. 1Peter 5:10

 For I consider that the suffering of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us Romans 8:18
