YOUR DREAM IS NOT GONE
Exodus 2:11-12 One day, after Moses had grown up, he went out to where his own people were and watched them at their hard labor. He saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his own people. Looking this way and that and seeing no one, he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand. (NIV)
When you discover that your heart yearn for a good course; a dream to fulfil, be sure it is God who puts it in your heart.
Moses had a dream in his heart to save the Israelites out of their hardship and bondage in Egypt. It was his dream to see them free. But he didn't know exactly how to go about it. One day he saw an Egyptian beating an Israelite under a hard labour, he killed the Egyptian and buried him. When the news became public he ran away from Egypt at the age of 40.
He ran away from Pharaoh who wanted to kill him and went to Midian where he settled, got married and became a shepherd. He forgot his people, the Israelites. He abandoned his dream to save them. He thought his dream was gone for life; he thought he could never do it. He didn't know it was God who placed that dream in his heart.
One day, after forty years, Moses now 80 years old, God appeared to him and appointed to go to Egypt and deliver His people. He gave him a staff (a rod), that was all that he required to fulfill his dream.
Exodus 3:9-10 And now the cry of the Israelites has reached me, and I have seen the way the Egyptians are oppressing them. So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt."
And with the help of God Moses brought out the Israelites out of Egypt, his long nurtured dream, which was also God's dream.
You may have given up on a dream you have nurtured in your heart for years. Maybe it's because you couldn't afford what it takes to fulfill it. Hear this, God will come through to help you actualise that dream. Every good dream is God's dream, and He has an appointed time for it. You might think your dearest dream is gone for life, you may have gone about other endeavours but God is about to step in and give you the staff you require to fulfill your dream.
PRAYER
Father I refuse to give up on the dream you laid in my heart. It's not gone, it's not dead but alive and prevailing. I receive from you all that I require to actualise the dream you have inspired in my heart, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
