THE WONDERS OF WISDOM Chapter 7 episode 2

PUT WISDOM INTO PRACTICE

Luke 6:47-48 As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you what they are like. They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built.

The Word of God is the wisdom of God. Jesus said if you hear His word and practice it your life would be like a house whose foundation is laid on a rock. 
The only life that stands the storm, flood and torrent of life is the life built by wisdom. Build your life by the word of God. When you begin practicing the Word and its results hasn't become obvious to all, many will ridicule you; they will laugh and mock you because you acted differently and it seems foolish. But the Lord Jesus said after the flood and torrent of life those people won't be found but you will still be standing firm because your life is by wisdom.

That brings to mind Isaac, when famine struck the land of Gerar where he lived at the time. Everyone was relocating and he wanted to, he got his things ready (by human wisdom) it was wise to relocate. But God's Wisdom spoke to him, and he stayed back. Everyone must have laughed at him and mocked him for staying back to die in the famine. But wisdom always prove itself right. Wisdom justified him. If you live by wisdom, wisdom will prove you right. Wisdom would justify you. 

Genesis 26:1-3,6,12-13 Now there was a famine in the land —besides the previous famine in Abraham’s time —and Isaac went to Abimelek king of the Philistines in Gerar. The LORD appeared to Isaac and said, "Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land where I tell you to live. Stay in this land for a while, and I will be with you and will bless you. For to you and your descendants I will give all these lands and will confirm the oath I swore to your father Abraham.
So Isaac stayed in Gerar.
Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the LORD blessed him. The man became rich, and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy.
It pays to act on Wisdom, the word of God.
