DESTROY THE DEVIL'S WORK

1 John 3:8 The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work. (NIV)

This scripture implies that sin is the devil's work. And says that the Son of God appeared to destroy the devil's work. It's abundantly clear in the scripture that the reason Jesus came was to take away sin; through His death He destroyed sin and its consequences.

Hebrews 9:28 so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many;...
1 Timothy 1:15 Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners —of whom I am the worst.

The Lord Jesus has destroyed the work of the devil; sin and its consequences. Yet we still find people who are in bondage to sin and its consequences. The reason is that it's only through the knowledge of the truth of the Gospel of Christ and its application that people literally enjoy the reality of this truth. That's where we come in. 

Through our preaching of the truths of the Gospel of Christ we destroy the work of the devil in people's lives today and bring them into the glorious victory and liberty of the sons of God. In a sense, the reason we are here on earth is to destroy the devil's work. Take this seriously as your responsibility.

Wherever you find the works of devil in operation assume your responsibility and destroy them using the authority, power and dominion vested in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Yes, don't allow the devil to carry out his activity around you.

PRAYER

I break the works of the devil in the lives of men. I declare that his works are broken in every city, region and nation under heaven and that men are turned from the power of satan unto the power of God, and are delivered from the dominion of darkness and transfered into the Kingdom of God's love Son, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
