GO FORWARD

Exodus 14:15 And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward: (KJV)

Often we say "stand still and see the salvation of the Lord." Quoting what Moses said to the Israelites on there way out of Egypt. But was it God's idea that they stand still? We have to know. It was Moses idea to encourage the Israelites with those words. God said the opposite to him, He said tell them to go forward.

Exodus 14:13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.

Their enemies were on their heels, what were they to stand still for? The only way they could see their enemies no more was not to stand still but to go forward. That's exactly what God said to Moses.
Exodus 14:15-16 And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, THAT THEY GO FORWARD: But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.

Often times we cry to God when He expects us to do something about the situation on ground. Other times we stand still hoping that He would do something when He expects us to go forward. The dividing of the sea was by the hand of Moses even though it was by the power of God. Until Moses stretched out his rod over the sea the power of God couldn't perform the miracle. 

God need you to work a miracle for you. He needs your action to change your situation. He needs you to go forward in order to lead you into greater things. Until you are moving God cannot lead you. God doesn't lead the immovable.

The idea of standing still needs to be verified under the mirror of God's Word. You shouldn't put your life on hold waiting for God when in real sense He wants you to go forward and take charge of things. Face the sea and divide it. 

When you stretch out your hand over that situation God's power will back it; God's power is activated when we act on His Word. So don't stand still to see what He might do; go forward, act on His Word and see His reaction. 

PRAYER

Dear Father as I stretch forth my hand over the situations around me may your power be activated for a miraculous change. As I act on your infallible Word may I see the results of your Word, as I press on to go forward may your Spirit enable me and lead me on, in Jesus' Name. Amen!
