BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 8th APRIL 2025 GOD'S RECOMMENDATION FOR SUCCESS Joshua 1:8 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. (NIV) Everyone of us wants to be successful in our various endeavours. We even pray to God that He makes us successful. Interestingly God wants our success more than we could ever desire. And He has a recommendation for us which leads to success.  Joshua took over leadership from Moses, challenged with the great task of leading the rebellious children of Israel. He knew he needed something extra; something more than the ordinary to succeed in his new leadership responsibility. And God told him what he required. "Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful....

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 7th APRIL 2025 HIS WORD IS HIS ANSWER Psalms 107:19-20 Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave. (NIV) When we pray to God for anything His answer is always His Word. No matter what the case is His answer is always His Word. God cannot do anything without His Word. If you want Him to do something for you find His word concerning it, and when you do hold on to it until you see the fulfilment.  The Israelites cried to the Lord in the midst of their trouble He saved them from their distress by sending His Word to heal and rescue them. It has to be His Word. Most often people miss out on God's answer because they did not pay attention to His Word. They are in trouble and then they are waiting to see what He would do, it's better to listen to what He would say. When you hear what God says concerning your situation you...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 6th APRIL 2025 HE'S MORE INTERESTED IN YOUR SUCCESS 3 John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. (KJV) Often we pray to God to empower us to be successful and prosperous. When we start out a project we wish for success only. Then we work hard as much as we can to be successful. But God is more interested in our success and prosperity than we could ever be.  He is much more interested to see you succeed, prosperous and in health than you could ever wish or desire for yourself. There are people who tend to hide from God and also hide their pursuit from Him thinking that He might not be interested in what they do or grant them success. Our theme verse is the mind of God and it says the otherwise. 3 John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. He wants your soul to prosper, that is, He wants yo...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 5th APRIL 2025 GIVING OPENS WAY Proverbs 18:16 A gift opens the way and ushers the giver into the presence of the great. (NIV) Giving is spiritual; it is important you take note of this. Giving is a spiritual act prompted from one's spirit. Not everyone has the heart or ability to give; not everyone can give. The ability to give is not in one's abundance but the state of one's heart.  Apostle Paul talks about the Macedonia churches who gave more than their ability even in the midst of trial and extreme poverty.  2 Corinthians 8:2-3 In the midst of a very severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own, Some people have the ability to give but they still can't give, while others give beyond their ability. So giving is not rooted in the abundance that one has but the ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 4th APRIL 2025 HE MEETS OUR NEED Hebrews 7:25-26 Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them. Such a high priest truly meets our need —one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens. (NIV) The Lord Jesus met our need of salvation; He saved us completely unlike the old testament high priests who would offer animals yearly to save the Israelites from their sins. Yet the annual sacrifice of animals were mere remembrance of their sins not removal. But Jesus removed our sins once and for all with the sacrifice of Himself.  The Lord Jesus indeed met our need of salvation and everything else (within salvation) because He always lives, He is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners and exalted above the heavens. He met our need for salvation, and He meets our needs today because He is still and forever our High Priest....

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 3rd APRIL 2025 YOU ARE FROM ABOVE John 8:23 But he continued, "You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. (NIV) The Lord Jesus boldly claimed that He was from above. His Jewish opponents couldn't grasp that let alone believe Him. Even His disciples who ate with Him couldn't believe Him completely until they saw Him levitated into heaven. They were astonished, even their senses couldn't deny that Jesus actually came from above as He claimed. Acts 1:9-10 After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight. They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. Jesus truly came from the Father in above and returned to the Father in above. One day soon you and I will ascend into heaven (above) by rapture. This is imminent!  Jesus ascended into heaven but when He came into ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 2nd APRIL 2025 THERE IS A REWARD FOR YOU Matthew 19:27 Peter answered him, "We have left everything to follow you! What then will there be for us?" (NIV) In yesterday's article we talked about denying self and giving up things in order to serve the Lord and the course of the Gospel. But what are we to gain for doing that? It's a good question to ask. Peter asked the Lord the same question. Matthew 19:27 Peter answered him, "We have left everything to follow you! What then will there be for us?" Anyone in their right senses would want to know the reward they would get for giving up everything for something. They have to know if it is worth it or not.  The Lord provided the answer in Matthew 19:29 He said "And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life." There ...
