BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 12th SEPTEMBER 2025 REFUSE TO BE WEAK Psalms 84:6-7 As they pass through the Valley of Baka, they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with pools. They go from strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion. (NIV) The journey through this world could be tedious but we have an inner strength. The word translated baka actually means weeping. The Amplified translation makes it clearer. Let's read from the Amplified translation. Psalms 84:6-7 Passing through the Valley of Weeping (Baca), they make it a place of springs; the early rain also fills [the pools] with blessings. They go from strength to strength [increasing in victorious power]; each of them appears before God in Zion. Til we appear before God in Zion we may go through tough times in the course of our journey. There may be valley of baka (weeping) to go through but we are not going to weep there. There may be situations and circumstances...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 11th SEPTEMBER 2025 HIS SEAL OF OWNERSHIP 2 Corinthians 1:21-22 Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. (NIV) He anointed us, set His seal of ownership on us and guarantee us what is come. All these three is by the Holy Spirit. His anointing upon us is by His Spirit, His seal on us is by His Spirit, and He gave us His Holy Spirit as a deposit guaranteeing us what is to come.  We want to look at the SEAL. His seal of ownership is on us. What is a seal? A seal is a mark, brand or personal inscription. God put His brand on us.  When a company manufactures a product they put their mark or brand on it, laying claim of ownership to it.  God created us in Christ Jesus, we are His new creation (new product) and He has put His personal inscription on us, laying claim of ownership t...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 10th SEPTEMBER 2025 DON'T RELY ON YOURSELF 2 Corinthians 1:9 Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. (NIV) The Apostle Paul talked about the hardship him and his missionary team experienced. He said "Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death." It was that tough. Then he added "But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead."  If we have only troubles that are easy for us to solve our faith in God will not grow, and our relationship with Him will not grow either. The reason we have tough times is so that we can prove God's Word in our lives, and rely on God. If you haven't learnt to rely on God tough times will teach you to. Don't rely on yourself.  Learn to rely on God in every situation. Even in situations that seems easy, for which you think yo...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 9th SEPTEMBER 2025 SEE JESUS IN THE FUTURE Hebrews 2:9 But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone. (NIV) When life becomes bleak and the future looks uncertain, when you are unable to see the future you envisioned, when unable to see hope going forward, then see Jesus in the future. Only then can you revive the future you envisioned.  I don't know if you get what I am saying or trying to say. Have you ever had a dream or vision about the years to come? Let say, you had a picture of what your life would be like in five years, but those five came and gone but you did not accomplish the dream, picture or vision you hoped for. Or as the years goes by you look but still haven't become what you wanted or have what you pursued. Then that hope of becoming what you wanted begins t...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 8th SEPTEMBER 2025 ALL THINGS WORK FOR GOOD Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (KJV) Everything may not always work out the way we plan but if we function in God's love then however they work out turns out for our good. There are times we try to force things to move forward but when it doesn't work out we feel bad, only to realize later that it was for our good that it didn't work out. We hear the Holy Spirit every time we listen to Him but when we don't listen we push things wrongly but He redirects them for our good.  There are two factors which contribute for all things to work together for our good; love for God and being called according to His purpose. When we received Christ we were called according to God's purpose. We only need to recognize it and remain in His purpose. But love is quite different bec...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 7th SEPTEMBER 2025 BLESSINGS IN MEDITATION Psalms 1:2-3 but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither — whatever they do prospers. (NIV) We shall examine the blessings described in the above scriptures for the person who meditates on God's Word. First, the Bible says whose delight is in the law of the Lord. Impactful meditation starts with delight. Only those who delight in the Word of God can truly meditate on it for impact and results. Cultivate your heart to find delight, pleasure and joy in the Word, it is the first step to a fruitful meditation.  To experience the blessings in meditation one has to do it intentionally with undivided attention. When you meditate on the Word as you should you become like a tree planted by streams of water. You know what that means!...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 6th SEPTEMBER 2025 HE FEEDS, GUIDES AND SHIELDS Psalms 23:1 THE Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack. (AMP) King David who wrote Psalm 23 was a shepherd. He knew what it is to take care of sheep. He fed them, guided them and shielded them. He told us how he fought lion and bear just to protect the sheep under his care. 1 Samuel 17:34-35 But David said to Saul, "Your servant has been keeping his father’s sheep. When a lion or a bear came and carried off a sheep from the flock, I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth. When it turned on me, I seized it by its hair, struck it and killed it. So when he said the Lord is my shepherd he knew the Lord would feed him, lead him and protect him. He knew the Lord would go after any enemy just to protect him.  The Amplified translation reads it beautifully, Psalms 23:1 THE Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall n...
