BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 4th APRIL 2025 HE MEETS OUR NEED Hebrews 7:25-26 Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them. Such a high priest truly meets our need —one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens. (NIV) The Lord Jesus met our need of salvation; He saved us completely unlike the old testament high priests who would offer animals yearly to save the Israelites from their sins. Yet the annual sacrifice of animals were mere remembrance of their sins not removal. But Jesus removed our sins once and for all with the sacrifice of Himself.  The Lord Jesus indeed met our need of salvation and everything else (within salvation) because He always lives, He is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners and exalted above the heavens. He met our need for salvation, and He meets our needs today because He is still and forever our High Priest....

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 3rd APRIL 2025 YOU ARE FROM ABOVE John 8:23 But he continued, "You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. (NIV) The Lord Jesus boldly claimed that He was from above. His Jewish opponents couldn't grasp that let alone believe Him. Even His disciples who ate with Him couldn't believe Him completely until they saw Him levitated into heaven. They were astonished, even their senses couldn't deny that Jesus actually came from above as He claimed. Acts 1:9-10 After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight. They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. Jesus truly came from the Father in above and returned to the Father in above. One day soon you and I will ascend into heaven (above) by rapture. This is imminent!  Jesus ascended into heaven but when He came into ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 2nd APRIL 2025 THERE IS A REWARD FOR YOU Matthew 19:27 Peter answered him, "We have left everything to follow you! What then will there be for us?" (NIV) In yesterday's article we talked about denying self and giving up things in order to serve the Lord and the course of the Gospel. But what are we to gain for doing that? It's a good question to ask. Peter asked the Lord the same question. Matthew 19:27 Peter answered him, "We have left everything to follow you! What then will there be for us?" Anyone in their right senses would want to know the reward they would get for giving up everything for something. They have to know if it is worth it or not.  The Lord provided the answer in Matthew 19:29 He said "And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life." There ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 1st APRIL 2025 GIVE UP THINGS Mark 8:34-35 Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it. (NIV) If you are going to be fruitful and productive in the things of the Kingdom you will have to deliberately give up some things. There are things that could hinder you from advancing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And those things are mostly rooted in self, that's why the Lord Jesus said "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves..."  Self is the greatest opposition to walking in the Spirit and doing the things of the Kingdom. You will have to deny yourself daily in order to be effective in the work of the Kingdom. Untill yourself is under your total control your destiny and assignmen...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 31st MARCH 2025 BE EXCITED ABOUT CHALLENGES James 1:2-4 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. (NIV) The Word instructs us to be joyful in trials. To consider trials as opportunity to express the Joy of Lord which is in us. He says we should be excited about challenges. The Word calls it trials of many kinds. There could be many challenges. We can be excited in the face of challenges, not because of the challenges but what it will produce for us, in us and through us. We look at the testimony that will ensue and celebrate in advance. Our joyful response to challenges means we know we are more than conquerors. Additionally, it is a testimony in advance. It is an expression of trust in our Lord, knowing fully well He got ou...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 30th MARCH 2025 PUT NO CONFIDENCE IN THE FLESH Philippians 3:3 For it is we who are the circumcision, we who serve God by his Spirit, who boast in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh — (NIV) Putting no confidence in the flesh means not replying on who you are, what you have, where you are, what you can do according to your outward self (your flesh), your power or effort.  In the context of the above scripture the Apostle Paul talked about those who promote the flesh and boast in what they are able to do according to the flesh. They boast in their ability to keep the law; their good deeds. And consequently trust in their self righteousness. He said he himself had more reasons to boast in what he was able to do according to the law. But he refused to put his confidence in the flesh. Philippians 3:3 For it is we who are the circumcision, we who serve God by his Spirit, who boast in Christ Jesus, and who put no con...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 29th MARCH 2025 HE WILL LEAD YOU THROUGH Psalms 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. (NIV) The Lord is your shepherd. He is the One leading you. Having received the Holy Spirit He leads and guides you. He leads you into abundance. He leads you into all good things. There is something striking in Psalm 23. In verse 1 He says the Lord is my Shepherd, I lack nothing. Then in verse 4, let's read. Psalms 23:4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. The One who started leading you and led you into abundance is the same who led you to the darkest valley. It's important we take note of this.  King David's manner of communication shows that the Shepherd was right there with him in the darkest valley. He says "I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me." It was the Shepherd who led ...
