KEEP YOUR DREAM ALIVE

Habakkuk 2:2-3 And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. (NIV)

We live for God, and we live for God through the visions or dreams He inspires in our hearts. By extension we live for our dreams. Dreams are mental pictures you see about yourself being a blessing to others.
God told Habakkuk to write down the vision he saw and make it plain on tablet. That's the first step to running with a vision. Write down your vision. And God went on to say "For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry."

Your dream or vision will surely come through and not tarry, it may linger but it will surely come to pass if you keep it alive. Dreams only die when the dreamer allows it. Keep your dream alive! Maybe you want to be a medical Doctor but things hasn't turn out right, don't give up, keep your dream alive!

In this world many things fight against dreams, even close friends and family members. But it's not an excuse for failure, if you fail it's your choice. Joseph had a dream that he would become great and greater than his brothers. You thought his brothers would be happy that one of them would become great, no! They wanted him and his dream to die. But Joseph fought to keep his dream alive!
Genesis 37:6-8 He said to them, "Listen to this dream I had: We were binding sheaves of grain out in the field when suddenly my sheaf rose and stood upright, while your sheaves gathered around mine and bowed down to it." His brothers said to him, "Do you intend to reign over us? Will you actually rule us?" And they hated him all the more because of his dream and what he had said.

His brothers sold him as slave and the buyers took him to Egypt. God was watching, and there in Egypt his dream eventually came through after many fights. He had reasons to give up; he was cruelly sold into slavery by his own brothers, he was unjustly imprisoned in Egypt yet he resolved to keep his faith in God and keep his dream alive.
Genesis 42:6 Now Joseph was the governor of the land, the person who sold grain to all its people. So when Joseph’s brothers arrived, they bowed down to him with their faces to the ground.

Years later his brothers came to Egypt and after hiding his true identity from his brothers for some time he finally revealed himself to them, he forgave them for all they did to him. And said to them in Genesis 50:20 "You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives."

If you keep a firm hold on your dream and pursuits, doing what you ought then irrespective of what people attend against you it will only turn out for your good, because God will work it out for your good. Keep your dream alive; keep fighting for it.

PRAYER

Precious Father all power belongs to only you. The dreams you have inspired in my heart I shall pursue them until they all come through. Irrespective of the opposition I face I rely on the power of your Spirit to come out victorious. Through the power of your Name and the wisdom of your Word I shall fulfill my dreams, in Jesus' Name. Amen!
