FORGIVE AND FORGET

Colossians 3:13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. (NIV)

How did the Lord forgive us? He forgave and forgot about it. True forgiveness is forgetting about the wrong done, that is, not allowing it to have effect on the offender. And that is pardon; releasing someone from the consequences of their wrongs. We are to forgive as the Lord forgave us, not keeping in our hearts the wrong done to us. 
God forgave us and said "Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more."
Hebrews 10:17-18 Then he adds: "Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more." And where these have been forgiven, sacrifice for sin is no longer necessary.

Where sins have been truly forgiven it is also forgotten (removed), and sacrifice for such sin is no longer necessary because it is removed and the offender is released from its consequences. When we forgive and forget it is love. True love keeps no record of wrongs. 
1 Corinthians 13:5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

Another important reason for which you must forgive and forget aside that God forgave us is that forgiveness is healing and spiritual sanitation. When you forgive those who offend you and forget the offense its heals your innerself of the negative effect they might have caused you. Additionally, it is a spiritual sanitation. Unforgiveness is dirt, and when kept in the heart it stinks, corrupts and polutes the goodness in you. Forgive those who offended you and forget about the wrong done to you. First because God forgave you. Secondly, He ask you to forgive. Thirdly, it is for your own good. 

Forgive them and assume that they do not know what they are doing. Don't allow their bad behavior towards you develop a bad behavior in you.

PRAYER

Dear Father I thank You for forgiving me and teaching me to forgive. I refuse to hold onto hurt and wrong done against me by others, now in your presence I forgive those I need to and forget about the wrongs. I release them from the consequences of their wrongs toward me. I receive healing, cleansing and restoration within, in Jesus' Name. Amen!

THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM Wisdom will begin to work in and through you and produce results when you fear the Lord. Yes wisdom begin with the fear of the Lord. (NIV) The Apostle Paul writing to the Church in Philippi, said they should rejoice in the Lord always. He didn't say they should rejoice in themselves but in the Lord. That calls for spiritual insight.  It takes spiritual insight to see what we got in the Lord and rejoice. When you are ask to rejoice over something it means that it holds significance and value. WISDOM DO GOOD We already know that wisdom is known for its deeds. Wisdom is no wisdom if it is not practiced. True wisdom is practicable.  One of the marks of wisdom is good deeds. A wise man does good. It takes loyalty to wisdom (God's Word) to do good. God's Word teaches us to do good. TURN YOUR EARS TO WISDOM Everyone listens to a voice or voices. Voices comes to one's mind through three main sources. The flesh, satan and God.  The flesh would speak to you based on impulses, emotions and sight. Satan deceitfully speak to people through their flesh, desire and even perversely quoting the Bible. Then God speaks to us through His Word.  None of these voices forces you to listen to or obey it. The flesh cannot force you to listen and obey its voice, satan cannot, and God would not.
