BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 9th FEBRUARY 2025 RENEW YOUR MIND DAILY Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is —his good, pleasing and perfect will. (NIV) A continuous transformation requires a continuous renewing of the mind. People expect continuous transformation but not willing for continuous renewing of the mind. Renew your mind daily.  We want to know God's will every day in everything we are about but not every one of us renews our mind daily. Knowing God's will daily requires renewing the mind daily. Renew your mind with God's Word everyday. That's the only way to know what His will is daily; His good, pleasing and perfect will.  Some people wish not to conform to the pattern of this world yet they find themselves living in it. They are victims of the pattern of the world yet they seems helpless. Nothing else can ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 8th FEBRUARY 2025 DON'T HASTY OUT OF THE WAY Proverbs 19:2 Desire without knowledge is not good — how much more will hasty feet miss the way! (NIV) Every way is not a way. Every way doesn't lead somewhere. A way might seem right and promising but the end of it is destruction.  As a Christian there is the way you should go. The Lord Jesus said "I am the way." There may be many ways but there is one way that leads to life eternal, that's Jesus.  John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. The Christian walk is not a hasty walk. Things doesn't go at your pace nor do you walk at your pace. You walk on the way as He leads. Don't hasty your walk of faith; your progress and how much you accomplish does not solely depend on you.  The Bible says "...how much more will hasty feet miss the way!" --- Proverbs 19:2. A lot of people...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 7th FEBRUARY 2025 A LITTLE PATIENCE 1 Samuel 13:8-9 He waited seven days, the time set by Samuel; but Samuel did not come to Gilgal, and Saul’s men began to scatter. So he said, "Bring me the burnt offering and the fellowship offerings." And Saul offered up the burnt offering. (NIV) We can draw a great lesson from this account of Saul. Saul was waiting for Samuel the Prophet and Priest of God, who would offer the required offerings on behalf of the King Saul and his men. But when Samuel was yet to come and Saul's men began to scatter he offered up the offerings which was unlawful for him to do. He was not patient enough to wait for Samuel the Prophet. Doing the wrong thing because things were going wrong is not enough to justify the wrong done. 1 Samuel 13:6-7 When the Israelites saw that their situation was critical and that their army was hard pressed, they hid in caves and thickets, among the rocks, and in pits and...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 6th FEBRUARY 2025 GO FORWARD Exodus 14:15 And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward: (KJV) Often we say "stand still and see the salvation of the Lord." Quoting what Moses said to the Israelites on there way out of Egypt. But was it God's idea that they stand still? We have to know. It was Moses idea to encourage the Israelites with those words. God said the opposite to him, He said tell them to go forward. Exodus 14:13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. Their enemies were on their heels, what were they to stand still for? The only way they could see their enemies no more was not to stand still but to go forward. That's exactly what God said to Moses. Exodus 14:15-1...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 5th JANUARY 2025 OUGHT ALWAYS TO PRAY Luke 18:1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; (KJV) We don't pray always if we don't have need. Though prayer is a means provided by God to receive our needs, prayer is much more than this.  If we only pray when we have needs, then we may always have needs to pray about but not enjoy the true purpose of prayer. Prayer is a communication, fellowship with God. If you only communicate with your earthly father when you have need then there is a problem. It means you are selfish, self-centered and not loving. God desire fellowship with us all the time. The primary purpose of prayer is fellowship, not to meet our needs. Man came from God, He is our source. To remain in His purpose for creating us and be truly useful we have to remain in contact with Him, and the only way to do that is prayer. Prayer is communion with God. You don'...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 4th FEBRUARY 2025 THE NEW IS HERE 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! (NIV) Christ in you and you in Christ is basically the same thing; it means inseparable oneness with Christ. It is just exactly as Jesus said about Himself and the Father. John 14:11 Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves. John 10:30 I and the Father are one." He says "I am in the Father and the Father is in me, I and the Father are one." We too can say exactly the same. I am in Christ, Christ is in me, I and Christ are one.  It's true, you and Christ are one. And this is the new creation; and it is your now reality. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! Some people still struggle with their old way...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 3rd FEBRUARY 2025 CHRIST; THE NEW CREATION Colossians 3:10-11 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all. (NIV) This above scripture clearly implies that the new self (new creation) is neither Gentile nor Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, slave or free but Christ; Christ is all and in all. This means that Christ is all that is in the new creation; the only content of the new creation is Christ. Christ in you makes you a new creation.  The first line of our opening verse says "and have put on the new self...."  In the book of Galatians Paul tells us "For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ..." Putting on the new self (new creation) and putting on Christ is the same thing. That means Christ is the new...
