All else may fall, all else may fail but God's Word stands.  God has specific words concerning each one of us in respect to our respective destinies and assignments. BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 27th FEBRUARY 2025 IN EVERYTHING FOR ALL THINGS 1 Thessalonians 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. (KJV) According to the Word of God giving of thanks to God is compulsory. In everything that happens God wants you to give Him thanks. The happening may not be pleasant but He says give thanks. It may even seem that the more you pray the worst things gets but don't stop giving thanks. Because it is God's will for you to give thanks.  The situation may not be God's will but giving thanks in the midst of it is God's will. Interestingly Ephesians 5:20 says something similar to our opening verse, it says "Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;" This time it says giving thanks always for all things. This has to do with the pleasant things. When good things begin to happen for you give thanks to God....

None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. (NIV) God's wisdom is a hidden mystery; a secret plan that produces glory for the Christian. And the cardinal pillar of this mystery is the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. And the Bible says if the rulers of this age had understood it they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. They didn't know that the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ would make man a new being, exactly like God full of His glory. They thought His death was a defeat but it was His greatest victory. Jesus' death is His greatest victory for Himself and for mankind. BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 25th FEBRUARY 2025 HE IS ABLE TO Ephesians 3:20-21 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. (NIV) When we pray our focus should not be on the magnitude of the problem at hand, but rather our focus should be on the ability of the God we pray to. The Bible says "Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen." Ephesians 3:30-21.  We don't pray to a God who is not able. Our God is able to. He has the ability to do immeasurably more than what we ask or imagine. "Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. (NIV) The words of the scripture above is the very words of the Lord Jesus Himself. He said "Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done." He charged us to continue to do right and be holy, that there is a reward for us. Those who do wrong and live a vile life should be wise enough to repent, otherwise their reward too is coming. (NIV) In Luke 12:16-21 the Lord Jesus told a parable of a certain man whose field yielded abundant harvest. He decided to build large barn to store his crops and take his time to enjoy life, eat, drink and merry. "But God said to him, ’You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’ Like 12:20.  The problem was not that the man wanted to eat the fruit of his labour but that he didn't recognize nor acknowledge or thank God and give Him offering of thanks as the One who made the ground to produce such abundance and as the Giver of his life. BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 22nd FEBRUARY 2025 SHE SAW WISDOM 1 Kings 10:4-5 When the queen of Sheba saw all the wisdom of Solomon and the palace he had built, the food on his table, the seating of his officials, the attending servants in their robes, his cupbearers, and the burnt offerings he made at the temple of the LORD, she was overwhelmed. (NIV) Did you notice in the above scripture that the Bible says the Queen of Sheba saw the wisdom of Solomon? How could she see wisdom? What she actually saw was the deeds or results of wisdom. True wisdom is seen in action.
