A DEFEAT; HIS GREATEST VICTORY

1 Corinthians 2:7-8 No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. (NIV)

God's wisdom is a hidden mystery; a secret plan that produces glory for the Christian. And the cardinal pillar of this mystery is the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. And the Bible says if the rulers of this age had understood it they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. They didn't know that the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ would make man a new being, exactly like God full of His glory. They thought His death was a defeat but it was His greatest victory.

Jesus' death is His greatest victory for Himself and for mankind. His death is victory over sin, death, hell and the kingdom of darkness. When Jesus died on the cross they thought they had finally gotten one over Him, little did they know it was His greatest victory. 

Jesus didn't end up in death, in Acts 2:24 the Bible says "But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him."
It was impossible for the death they presumed to be His defeat to keep its hold on Him. He couldn't be kept there, it seemed to be His defeat but it was His greatest victory, and the greatest victory for man.

Furthermore Romans 6:9 says "For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him."
Death, defeat does not have master over Jesus. His victory is forevermore, and it is our victory too. We are forever victorious in Christ. 

Don't get frustrated when life circumstances seems to have defeated you, hold on, and it will turn out to be your greatest victory. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

Jesus has died and rose again, He cannot die again. Death no longer have mastery over Him. It was impossible for death to keep its hold on Him, He is victorious over death, hell, sin and darkness, and it is for me. Therefore I walk in the glory of His resurrected life today and always. Amen!

THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM Wisdom will begin to work in and through you and produce results when you fear the Lord. Yes wisdom begin with the fear of the Lord. BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 23rd DECEMBER 2023 REJOICE IN THE LORD ALWAYS Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! (NIV) The Apostle Paul writing to the Church in Philippi, said they should rejoice in the Lord always. He didn't say they should rejoice in themselves but in the Lord. That calls for spiritual insight.  It takes spiritual insight to see what we got in the Lord and rejoice. When you are ask to rejoice over something it means that it holds significance and value. No nobody would ask you to rejoice over something that's not to your advantage. We have everything to our advantage in Christ, and it is our responsibility to recognize them and rejoice.  Looking at your physical environment and, maybe the circumstances of your life you might have reasons to feel bad and dejected. WISDOM DO GOOD We already know that wisdom is known for its deeds. Wisdom is no wisdom if it is not practiced. True wisdom is practicable.  One of the marks of wisdom is good deeds. A wise man does good. It takes loyalty to wisdom (God's Word) to do good. God's Word teaches us to do good. THE WONDERS OF WISDOM chapter 4 episode 1

TURN YOUR EARS TO WISDOM Everyone listens to a voice or voices. Voices comes to one's mind through three main sources. The flesh, satan and God.  The flesh would speak to you based on impulses, emotions and sight. Satan deceitfully speak to people through their flesh, desire and even perversely quoting the Bible. Then God speaks to us through His Word.  None of these voices forces you to listen to or obey it. The flesh cannot force you to listen and obey its voice, satan cannot, and God would not. Listening to any voice that comes to you is a choice. Many voices may come to your ears but you would choose which to turn your ears to you.  You would hear voice of fear, doubt, failing, uncertainty, faith, assurance, victory, riches but deliberately turn your ears to what you want to hear.
