BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 31st JULY 2026 GROW IN GRACE 2 Peter 3:18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen. (NIV) How do you grow in grace? How do you grow in knowledge? You grow in knowledge of God by studying the word of God. You grow in grace by finding out in the word what God has done for you in Christ. Growing in grace is related to growing in knowledge of the Lord Jesus and what He's done for you. Everyone who received Christ has received grace but how much grace you enjoy in your life is dependent on how much you grow in knowledge. Everyone do not experience the same level of grace because only the grace you know work for you. God expects you to grow in Grace. And you have to in order to maximize your potentials in Christ. Only the word of God can grow you. Give yourself to it. You can determine how much grace you want to function in by studying and growing in the word....

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 30th JULY 2026 PRAYING PROPHECY 1 Timothy 1:18 Timothy, my son, I am giving you this command in keeping with the prophecies once made about you, so that by recalling them you may fight the battle well, (NIV) Apostle Paul asked Timothy to recall the prophecies once made about him that through them he could fight the battle well. The 'recalling' here is not a mere remembering but praying them to reality. He had to pray the prophecies into reality. A lot of times when people receive prophecy they just sit and wait hoping for it to come true. But some prophecies don't come true that way. You have to pray them to reality. One of the things prophecy gives is direction. That means, some prophecies direct you to pray in a certain way. It would be unfruitful waiting for them to be fulfilled on their own.  Apostle Paul told Timothy that by praying the prophecies concerning him he could fight the battle well. Some prophecies are t...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 29th JULY 2026 CONTINUE IN HIS GRACE Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith —and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast. (NIV) You were saved by grace through your faith in Jesus Christ. The life of God you received you got through faith in Jesus. You can only continue through faith.  Human being likes efforts, works and achievement. They want their efforts to be counted for them. They like to earn things. But God doesn't have blessings that man can earn. His salvation for man is an act of love, which brought us grace by which we were saved. Salvation is all of God, grace is all of God. It is by grace that you have been saved through faith and not your works. So continue in His grace. One of the reasons some Christians are unable to work in the blessings of God is that they want to do something to earn it, no. A life of grace is finding out what...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 28th JULY 2026 IT DEPENDS ON YOUR WORDS Matthew 12:37 For by your words you will be justified and acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned and sentenced. (AMP) Few people would agree that the present state of their lives resulted from their words, but it's true all the same. One might argue and say "my present condition is not what I wanted, I didn't get what I wanted." The Bible didn't say "by what you want or desire you will be justified", rather by your words.  Some erroneously think that just because they wanted or desired something it would come through for them. It doesn't work that way. Wishes and desire is not enough. It's your words that brings to pass. Interestingly it is easier for negative words to come to pass than positive. And that because the default setting of the ordinary world is evil and negative. You don't have to be deliberate with negative words to have it...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 27th JULY 2026 FOR HIS GOOD PURPOSE Philippians 2:13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. (NIV) God actively works in and through us by His Spirit. And He does for His good purpose. He works in, through and for us because He loves us. But another reason is because of His purpose. He doesn't want His purpose thwarted in our lives. Beyond His love for us is His purpose. Beyond our dreams and desires is His purpose.  At times the things that happen for us is not because we prayed or go to church but because of His purpose. He leads us in the paths of righteousness for His Name sake (His purpose). When we understand this and function in the light of it, we have more rest. Unnecessary burden is lifted from us because we know our life is not our idea.  Philippians 2:13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. Your life is beyond you...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 26th JULY 2026 IF IT SEEMS SLOW Habakkuk 2:3 For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. IF IT SEEMS SLOW, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay. (NIV) God wants for us the good things we seek. He is not against good. It is first His dream for us to be prosperous, victorious and successful before it became our dream and pursuit. There are things He appoints a time to have them happen for us. Until it is that time they might not manifest and then we interpret them as being slow.  It only seems slow to you not to God. He has a time for it. You might say "can't He just tell me the time appointed for it?" If He does you won't walk in faith. He doesn't have to tell you that you will get married next year when you are praying to get married this year, though He does at times.  You can tell from your experiences that there were things you wanted to have happen ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 25th JULY 2026 PRE-ORDAINED PATHS Ephesians 2:10 For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [TAKING PATHS WHICH HE PREPARED AHEAD OF TIME], THAT WE SHOULD WALK IN THEM [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]. (AMP) This above scripture clearly says that God has preordained paths for us to walk in. We don't just walk or live, we live in preordained paths. To preordain or predestine means to plan ahead of time, that is before one was born. God prepared our lives; how we should live through this world and what we should be about before we came. We came into this world because of His preordained purpose. We fullfill His preordained purpose by walking in His preordained paths. What is preordained paths? First it's worth noting, that the paths is in plural not sing...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley  24th JULY 2026 ASK ACCORDING TO HIS WILL 1 John 5:14-15 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us —whatever we ask —we know that we have what we asked of him. (NIV) Asking according to His will simply means asking according to His word in His Name. When you ask God for anything according to the provision of the Gospel it is His will, and He answers. Jesus said '...whatever you ask in my name' John 16:23 In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. This is what it is to ask according to His will: asking in the Name of Jesus according to the truth of the Gospel. For example it is a Gospel truth that Jesus took away our diseases and infirmities - Matthew 8:17. It is a Gospel truth that He brought us into His riches - 2 Corinthians 8:9. If I were si...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 23rd JULY 2026 MORE THAN VICTORIOUS Romans 8:37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. (NIV) We are more than conquerors; more than victorious because we resulted from Jesus' victory. We are the fruit of His victory; His trophy of victory.  We resulted from the victory of Christ over sin, death, the flesh and the world. We are more than just victors; we are the trophy of the Victor, Christ. Jesus won for us but more than that we are His reward.  Live conscious of your victory in Christ. You are more than victorious. In Christ you already overcome the world and everything in it. When the devil and contrary situations rises against you rise above them. Don't cower under opposition, don't hide. Put the word in your mouth and get talking; proclaim your victory in Christ. Remind the devil and the troubles that surrounds you of your victory in Christ. Praise God! You are victorious in Christ, but if you don...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 22nd JULY 2026 STRAINING TOWARD WHAT IS AHEAD Philippians 3:13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, (NIV) There is always something ahead for anyone who has a vision. Where you are is not a destination. Apostle Paul referring to going to heaven as his destination said "I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead," There was so much behind him, what he had accomplished with the Gospel, but there was also so much ahead of him what he could do with the Gospel and going to heaven. He had to choose where to focus, and he chose to focus on what lies ahead. So much is behind you, the very good moments, and the not very good moments. Focusing on either of these which are in the past would make you complacent. It becloud...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 21st JULY 2026 HE BRINGS TO COMPLETION Philippians 1:6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. (NIV) God doesn't leave His work halfway. He doesn't abandon His work. His plan for your life is to complete all the good works He has started. If you find some things inconsistent with His will it's not that He failed, no! It only means that man failed in lining up with His will. If you face challenges in the things you are doing for the Kingdom don't be perturbed, God is committed to it. He began it to finish it, He will not leave you midway. He keeps to His word concerning you and the good works you are doing. Your role is in His word too. Trust the word and live in the light of it. His word is His assurance. God sustains His work in our life. He created you for good works, and as He carries that work through you He carries it on to comp...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 20th JULY 2026 GO WITH THE GOSPEL Matthew 28:18-19 Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, (NIV) The Lord Jesus said "therefore go and make disciples of all nations..." All nations referred here means different group of people; as in bankers, lawyers, school mates, market colleagues etc. It simply refers to any setting we have numbers of people coming together regularly. He says go with the Gospel to any of the group you find yourself. You don't say "I am a banker I don't have time to go out for evangelism." No, the bank is your mission field. The group of people (your co-workers and costumers) are your nation. You don't have to cross border to reach a nation with the Gospel. The group setting you find yourself is th...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 19th JULY 2026 BE HUMBLE Ecclesiastes 9:11 I have seen something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all. (NIV) Our effort is not solely responsible for our success. Everyone want their effort to be applauded. We want to feel the satisfaction of having earned something. But the truth is, no effort equate what we have. It is not by strength that one succeeds. There is time in the spirit, and there is a set time for a certain glory and manifestation in the life of everyone. Until it is a man's time for a certain thing he won't get it even if he tried or if he tried so hard and get it, it leads to his destruction. We all don't operate by the same time and season, it's one man's time to own a house, but not yet for another. That's why you must not judge y...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 18th JULY 2026 HE WANTS YOU TO RECEIVE John 16:23-24 In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete. (NIV) Jesus said "my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. ...Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete." He wants you to receive. When you ask the Father He gives, He gives always when you ask in the Name of Jesus. But some don't always receive. From Jesus' statement it is simple to understand that He wants you to receive when you pray. That tells us that when we don't receive the problem is not with God, whether or not He gives it. Jesus told us the Father will give us whatever we ask. Why do people not receive when they ask? Receiving when you pray is your responsibility. Otherwise Jesus wouldn'...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 17th JULY 2026 CHRIST CONSCIOUSNESS Galatians 3:27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. (NIV) The word 'baptized' means immersed. Everyone who received Jesus as their Lord is immersed completely into Christ, swallowed up completely in Him such that all you can see in him is Christ. To be baptized into means to be dipped completely into, as in, into a container full of water.  Having been baptized into Christ by the Holy Spirit you are clothed with Him; you have put on Christ. In the realm of the spirit you are no difference from Christ. And God sees you exactly so.  Though you are clothed with Christ with all of His glory, power, victory, riches and blessings until it becomes your consciousness you cannot enjoy all the benefits. Christ consciousness makes real here what is real in the spirit realm. When you heard of your blessings, rights and inheritance in Christ and believed, ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 16th JULY 2026 DO GOOD NOW Galatians 6:10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. (NIV) At times people regret about the good they did not render to others. They were in a position to help but failed to, at the end they wished they had helped. Don't wait until it is too late, do good now. A young man saw an old woman carrying a heavy load on her head. He thought to himself to help her, but an evil thought stopped him. While he was battling with his thoughts whether or not to help the old woman a young lady came by and helped her with the load. The young man felt bad that he didn't help her. Doing good can be too late. Do good now. I love the way Apostle Paul expressed it in Galatians 6:10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people... Doing good is an opportunity, if you don't take it, it may go away and never return....

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 15th JULY 2026 BE FAITHFUL Matthew 25:20 The man who had received five bags of gold brought the other five. ’Master,’ he said, ’you entrusted me with five bags of gold. See, I have gained five more.’ (NIV) Jesus told a parable of a master who entrusted to his servants bags of gold before traveling. To one he gave five, to another two and the third, he gave one. The first two servants put theirs to work and doubled it, while the other hid his.  When their master returned the one who received the five bags of gold accounted "Master,’ he said, ’you entrusted me with five bags of gold. See, I have gained five more.’ The master's response was "Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’ -- Matthew 25:21 You would notice that the master did not talk about the five more bags of gold he gained but his faithful...

A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 14th JULY 2026 POWER BELONGS TO GOD Psalm 62:11 One thing God has spoken, two things I have heard: "Power belongs to you, God, (NIV) In this world people seek power but less often do they turn to God. You even find some Christians who doesn't see God as their destination for power. Someone receive death threat, then he wants protection but never thought of God. He thinks God is not fast enough. How ignorant! True power belongs to God. Some agree that God is powerful but they wouldn't trust Him in a situation that requires power. They just don't know God. All power belongs to God alone. He who made the heavens and earth, and all that is in them is truly powerful. By His great power He raised Jesus from the dead. And this power now reside in us. Ephesians 1:19-20 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right han...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 13th JULY 2026 HIS GOODNESS AND MERCY Psalm 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. (KJV) If God's goodness and mercy are ever taken away from us no one would last one day more.  His goodness is His good turned towards us daily, and His mercy means our wrongs are not counted against us. If God should count our every wrong against us surely no one would survive.  The earth is full of His goodness. Everyone on earth enjoys God's unconditional goodness. No matter how wicked anyone is, he still benefits from God's goodness. God made the sun and moon to shine on the righteous and wicked alike. No one is ever short of God's goodness and mercy. As a child of God, His goodness and mercy is multiplied unto you. The Christian enjoys God's goodness and mercy in a higher degree to none-christians. The higher you walk in His Grace the higher ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS  A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 12th JULY 2026 CHRIST; THE FULFILLMENT OF ALL GOD'S PROMISES 2 Corinthians 1:20 For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God. (NIV) All the good God has for us are all made available to us in Christ. The future God has for us is already available in Christ. From Abraham to Jacob, and David and all others who walked with God everything He promised them pointed to Christ.  He said to Abraham in Genesis 13:15 For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever. And that seed He referred was Christ, Galatians 3:16 The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. Scripture does not say "and to seeds," meaning many people, but "and to your seed," meaning one person, who is Christ. He gave the whole world to Abraham and His seed, Christ. And because we are in Christ w...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 11th JULY 2026 EVERYONE IS A STEWARD 1 Timothy 6:7 For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. (NIV) If everyone would accept this simple but sublime truth in this above scripture no one would fight anyone for anything. The world would be a better place. We brought nothing physically into this world and it is certain we would take nothing when leaving. Yet people live their lives for things. How foolish! No matter what you have in this world you are only a steward of it, you will definitely leave it behind as someone else left it behind for you. The land you own today was owned by many different people over many years before it got to you, it is certain that you will leave it for someone too. So why the fight and killing for material things? Everyone is only a steward of what he owes otherwise he would have taken them along when leaving.  Your earthly possessions are earthly tools for your work her...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 10th JULY 2026 BORN WITH GOD-INSIDE 1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. (KJV) When you believed in Jesus and got born again you were born victor over satan because you were born with God inside of you. To be born again means to be born with a new nature; and it is God's nature. You have the nature of God on the inside of you. When people are faced with daunting challenge they began looking for a solution, knowing fully well that satan is responsible for their ordeal they want victory over him. But you don't need victory over satan because you already got it. You were born victorious over satan. You are not responsible for your victory over satan, you were born that way. It's not necessary trying to win a battle over satan, all you require to do is meditate on the One inside of you. He is your victory. You are victorious be...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 9th JULY 2026 LIVE IN HIS NAME John 20:31 But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. (NIV) Jesus' purpose of coming to this world was to give life to mankind. Man died spiritually through Adam but made alive through Christ. In John 10:10 Jesus said "...I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." Obviously it was a spiritual life, and it is the God-kind of life. We live this life in His Name. What does it mean to live in His Name? It means to live in His stead or place. We live His life for Him. The life has the same quality in us as it is with Him. It didn't become different in us. We just live it in His stead. Hallelujah! Our theme scripture says "But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name." His N...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 8th JULY 2026 EVERYDAY IS BLESSED Psalm 118:24 This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. (ESV) You would hear people say "today is not a good day, business is poor, I'm not happy today." But that has nothing to do with the day itself, but everything to do with the individual. Everyday is blessed and everyday is a blessing. Look for the blessing of each day and appropriate it for yourself, everyday is blessed by God. God made each and every day for your good, fulfillment and enjoyment. The Bible says "this is the day that the LORD has made;..." All you have to do is respond to the day and say "I will rejoice and be glad in it."  There is no bad day, only that bad things happen on a good day. The problem is not with the day. Evil people and forces are responsible for the bad that happens. That's why you must determine what should happen with you each day, don't...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 7th JULY 2026 LIVE IN FREEDOM Galatians 5:1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (NIV) Apostle John writing to the church said in 3 John 1:4 "I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth." This is an expression of the Spirit through him. God rejoices when we walk in the truth, and one of those truths is freedom.  It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. This simply means freedom is the purpose for which He set us free. He wants us to live freely. Freedom from sin, satan, the flesh and their influences. Amongst these three, the flesh is man's greatest enemy. Most people are not aware that alot of things they struggle with has nothing to do with satan or sin but the passion of their flesh. 1 Peter 2:11 Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh, w...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 6th JULY 2026 PROCLAIM HIS PEACE John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. (NIV) In a world of turbulence and unrest you can be at peace within and then without. Peace has to be within first, if you don't have peace in your heart you can't have it in your life; everything that has to do with you would be unsettled; job, business, family, finance, etc. Interestingly Jesus said "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you." This simply means peace is in your possession. You have peace, Christ's peace. But if you don't proclaim it you cannot experience it. Learn to proclaim His peace. Consciously declare that you have peace. Take hold of peace, don't live in anxiety. Talk peace; confess peace; declare peace.  Also learn to enforce peace in your life, locality, city and nation. Every now and then...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 5th JULY 2026 PRESS ON Philippians 3:14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. (NIV) When you understand the call of God for your life you would discover there is a goal (a mark) to reach, a prize (reward) to win, and then the need to press on because there is something to lose.  Those who don't know or understand God's purpose for their life don't realise that there is something to lose. You only know what is at stake when you find yourself in God's purpose and calling.  When we talk about God's calling we don't mean called to be a Pastor or Prophet. It's simply a call to represent God in the earth; to think, talk and do as He would.  Hence there is a goal, a mark you must reach and a prize to win. And that requires a continuous pressing. You will have to press on and keep pressing on. Until we leave to heaven our work is not done. While we ar...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 4th JULY 2026 GIVE NO PLACE TO THE DEVIL Ephesians 4:26-27 "In your anger do not sin" : Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold. (NIV) The Bible says do not give the devil a place even as small as a foothold. A foothold simply means footing, that is, a support for the foot when climbing. What the above scripture says in essence is "don't give the devil a place of support against you." And it used anger as an example. If you are angry, don't remain angry for long, stop at some point. If you don't you are creating a foothold; a place of advantage for the devil in your life. Give him no such place. Apart from anger, every deliberate wrong doing affords the devil a place of advantage against you. Don't give the devil a hand of support against you by willful wrong doings. One of those willful wrong doings is unforgiveness. Forgiveness is must, but you...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 2nd JULY 2026 YOUR TOMORROW IS IN YOUR VISION Genesis 13:14-15 The LORD said to Abram after Lot had parted from him, "Look around from where you are, to the north and south, to the east and west. ALL THE LAND THAT YOU SEE I will give to you and your offspring forever. (NIV) God spoke to Abraham many times about his great future, but was yet to live in the reality. One day God asked him to see the future He had been talking about. He said to him "Look around from where you are, to the north and south, to the east and west. ALL THE LAND THAT YOU SEE I will give to you and your offspring forever." Until He saw it he couldn't walk in it. His future was in his vision. He had to see it first. When he did, God told him. "Go, walk through the length and breadth of the land, for I am giving it to you." -- Genesis 13:17. You have to see your future through the word of God. Your tomorrow is in your vision. The fut...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 1st JULY 2026 ABRAHAM SAW THE WHOLE WORLD Genesis 13:14-15 The LORD said to Abram after Lot had parted from him, "Look around from where you are, to the north and south, to the east and west. ALL THE LAND THAT YOU SEE I will give to you and your offspring forever. (NIV) God cannot do for us more than we can see, so He seeks to improve our vision first. He helps us to see as we should.  God told Abraham that he would be great, with much possession and children yet for a time it didn't happen. God needed to help his vision, one day He said to him "Look around from where you are, to the north and south, to the east and west. ALL THE LAND THAT YOU SEE I will give to you..." God simply said to him "as far as you can see I will give to you." He saw the whole world and God gave it to him. Abraham had complained of being childless but the problem was his vision, he didn't see himself having children. All he...
