BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 21st FEBRUARY 2025 THINK OF HEAVEN ALWAYS Colossians 3:1-2 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. (NIV) When the Bible says we should set our hearts on things above it is not about tangible things in heaven but heaven as a Kingdom, government and place. Think of heaven always. You are to set your heart (affection) on heavenly things.  Setting your mind on heavenly things helps you to manifest here on earth the Kingdom life and principles. There is a way of life in the Kingdom of God, and as representatives we are to walk in that way of life here on earth. And for that to happen we have to think of heaven always.  An important reason we should fix our hearts on heaven is that we are citizens of heaven. We came from there and should pledge our allegiance to it. Philippians 3:20 But...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 20th FEBRUARY 2025 KEEP GATHERING YOUR CLOUDS Ecclesiastes 11:3 If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth:... (KJV) In some cases there is a certain level of prayer and spiritual exercise required to effect certain decree of changes.  Prayer is an incense which is set before God as we pray, and the decree to which it is set before God depends on the decree to which we prayed.  Elijah had to pray for hours until the clouds gathered and pour down rain. His first attempt didn't work, the six didn't either, until his seventh attempt.  1 Kings 18:44 The seventh time the servant reported, "A cloud as small as a man’s hand is rising from the sea." So Elijah said, "Go and tell Ahab, ’Hitch up your chariot and go down before the rain stops you.’" It took a while for Cornelius's prayers and gifts to come up as a memorial offering before God. Cornelius prayed to God regularly, intently...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 19th FEBRUARY 2025 HIS WORDS AND HIS STRENGTH 1 Peter 4:11 If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen. (NIV) God didn't intend for us to do what He called us to do in our own words and strength. He not only teaches us His Word but also puts it in our hearts.  Our opening verse instructs us to speak the very words of God and use the strength He provides so that God can be praised and glorified through Jesus Christ. The work God has entrusted to us can only be accomplished through His Words and strength. The Lord Jesus though being the Word of God yet spoke the words of God. And through those words the Father did the works through Him.  John 14:10 Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Fat...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 16th FEBRUARY 2025 A LIFE BEYOND SENSES Luke 17:20-21 Asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He replied to them by saying, The kingdom of God does not come with signs to be observed or with visible display, Nor will people say, Look! Here [it is]! or, See, [it is] there! For behold, the kingdom of God is within you [in your hearts] and among you [surrounding you]. (AMP) We actually belong to (He owns us) and belong in (a part of) the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom is a real spiritual kingdom in the spirit. And we are children of the Kingdom of God. We have the life of the Kingdom and the kingdom itself is set up in our hearts. It's something beyond senses.  The people of the day of Jesus enquired from Him when the Kingdom would come and the visible signs, but He told them that the kingdom cannot be observed with senses; it's beyond senses. And so is the life we have in the Kingdom. Our life is beyond senses...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 15th FEBRUARY 2025 ABUNDANT PROVISION OF GRACE Romans 5:17 For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s ABUNDANT PROVISION OF GRACE and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ! (NIV) According to the provisions of the Gospel of Christ a Christian is not supposed to be lacking in anything. You are supernaturally graced, that is, divine-configurated; divinity is your essence. Oh glory to God! You are consistuted with divine verities.  Our theme scriptures unveils a profound truth, it says "..how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!"  God has provided grace for you abundantly such that you have grace for anything and everything. Grace is required for everything because we function in the earth. Grace in th...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 14th FEBRUARY 2025 SEE BEYOND THIS WORLD Hebrews 11:26-27 He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward. By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger; he persevered because he saw him who is invisible. (NIV) This above scripture refers to Moses who regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than all the treasures of Egypt. He was not afraid of Pharaoh's anger. And the Bible tells us why; because he saw Him who is invisible. He was looking forward to his reward. He saw beyond this world. And we all need to. We will struggle and fall in times of trials and persecution if we don't see beyond this world. Look forward to the things to come; the true, lasting and great things that are in the world to come. Through the Word you can see the world and the things to come (the invisible). In the light of which the things...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 13th FEBRUARY 2025 SOMETHING MORE THAN FOOD Matthew 4:4 Jesus answered, "It is written: ’Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ " (NIV) If a Christian would desire spiritual food as he desire the physical he would be a lot far better and well positioned to display God's glory. Man was not made to live on bread alone but many do. The human person consist of the inward and outward. The outward man lives on physical food while the inward man live on spiritual food (the Word of God). Both the inward and outward man grows weak and malfunctions when not well fed, and could even die when not fed at all for a long time. Some people have long died in their inward man. That's why they do not respond to spiritual stimuli, for they can't.  There is something more than food my brethren; it is the Word that comes out from the mouth of God. And that Word is actually Jesus the ...
