INTEGRITY OF HEART

Psalms 78:71-72 from tending the sheep he brought him to be the shepherd of his people Jacob, of Israel his inheritance. And David shepherded them with integrity of heart; with skillful hands he led them. (NIV)

God is about people. How you treat people is important to God. At whatever level, capacity or setting you have the opportunity to lead people God is interested how you lead and relates with them. The Bible says that David shepherd the people of Israel with integrity of heart. 
Integrity of heart means an undivided and upright heart. Every child of God should have such a heart towards those they serve and lead.

David's heart was not only upright towards God but also towards people. As a Christian leader in whatever capacity integrity of heart is required. It is required of you to serve and lead those under your care with an undivided heart, love and commitment. If you have integrity of heart you would carry out your responsibility not because you must but because you are willing. Peter admonished the leaders in the church, he said be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care. But they were already shepherds, he was saying something; assume your responsibility with integrity of heart.
1 Peter 5:2 Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them —not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve;

Those with integrity of heart are always willing to serve. They are always willing to feed the Lord's sheep which are under their care. There are people under your care; it might be your children, siblings, church members, work colleagues or school mates, be eager to serve them with integrity of heart. 
The Lord tasked Peter to take care of His sheep.
John 21:16 Again Jesus said, "Simon son of John, do you love me?" He answered, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Take care of my sheep."

Doing what the Lord committed to you with integrity of heart is a demonstration of your love for Him. Redefine how you carry out your responsibility as you serve people in the church and outside the church, deliberately serve and lead people with integrity (undivided and upright) heart. 

PRAYER

Precious Lord Jesus I am grateful that you have given me the responsibility and privilege to serve and lead people in the church and outside the church. Through the wisdom of your Word and Spirit I am helped to serve and lead people with integrity of heart. Showing them your love, care and blessings. Amen!

WISDOM KEEPS YOU FROM ADULTERY Nothing destroys a man or woman than sexual immorality, and more so adultery. But if you heed to wisdom it will keep you from this.
