REFUSE TO SEE THE WIND
Matthew 14:30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, "Lord, save me!" (NIV)
Peter walked on water like Jesus until he saw the wind and began to sink. The same wind was against Jesus yet He continued to walk on the water. Peter began to sink not really because of the wind but because he fixed his eyes on it. He saw the wind (he observed it and contemplated what might happen) and became afraid and began to sink. In life mind what you observe; mind what you give attention to, it could influence you.
Matthew 14:25-27 Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. "It’s a ghost," they said, and cried out in fear. But Jesus immediately said to them: "Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid."
When Jesus allayed their fears, Peter asked Him for permission to come to Him on the water.
Matthew 14:28-31 "Lord, if it’s you," Peter replied, "tell me to come to you on the water." "Come," he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, "Lord, save me!" Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. "You of little faith," he said, "why did you doubt?"
I said the problem was not the wind, the wind was also against Jesus. It was how Peter saw the wind, interpreted it and related with it that was the problem. Jesus asked him "why did you doubt?" When he saw and observed the wind fear and doubt gripped him, his faith left him and he began to sink. Don't see the wind.
Acting your faith won't stop the wind from blowing. Contrary wind will always blow but don't see it. Refuse to see the wind of life. If you would walk by faith, act your faith, you will keep walking in the supernatural and won't notice the wind. If you are doing something great or about to do something great the wind will set against you, first to distract you, and once you give attention to that distraction fear comes and then you begin to sink. Don't observe the wind, it is a lying vanity.
If the wind gets worst keep your focus fixed on the Lord and the direction He is leading you.
CONFESSION
Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I shall fear no evil. Though the wind and storm of life come against me I shall not be afraid nor intimidated. I refuse to observe and yield to the wind, rather I keep my eyes fixed on the Lord and the way He leads me, walking in and manifesting the supernatural in His Name. Amen Hallelujah!
