1 Peter 5:2 Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them —not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; (NIV)

In the world people carry out their duty of work because they must, not because they are passionate about it. People try to carry out their job responsibility as best as they can because of the pay not because they love to. The same attitude has crept into Christian ministry and leadership even though it ought not to be so. 

Apostle Peter wrote to the church admonishing the leaders to shepherd the flock of God because they are willing. 1 Peter 5:2 Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them —not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; 

As a Christian leader it is required of you to serve and care for those under your charge with love. Don't serve as a duty, serve as a delight. Be excited, passionate and willing to serve and care for God's Children not because you must but because His love is shed abroad in your heart by the Holy Spirit. 
One of the reasons we have ineffective ministries in the church is because many only try to carry out their duties. But you, go beyond merely carrying out your duties, be inspired, passionate and excited about your responsibility in the body of Christ. 

Only a service rendered with love last long and leaves undeniable impact. If you serve half-heartedly the result would be half. If you serve wholeheartedly the result would be full and impactful. 
The Lord Jesus emphasized love as a basis for taking care of His sheep when instructing Peter. 
John 21:16 Again Jesus said, "Simon son of John, do you love me?" He answered, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Take care of my sheep."

One of the ways to show that you love the Lord is to take care of His church and love its members. As a leader in the church redefine how you lead and serve. Let love and willingness overcome discharge of duty and fulfillment of a position. 

CONFESSION

I count it a great privilege to serve the body of Christ and her members. I lead and serve others diligently not because I must but because I am willing as God wants me to be, not pursuing dishonest gain but eager to serve. Amen Hallelujah!

WISDOM KEEPS YOU FROM ADULTERY Nothing destroys a man or woman than sexual immorality, and more so adultery. But if you heed to wisdom it will keep you from this. As we have a wayward woman so we have a wayward man. One who leaves their partner to go after another. There is no justifiable reason for it.
