PRAYING PROPHECY


1 Kings 18:41-42 And Elijah said to Ahab, "Go, eat and drink, for there is the sound of a heavy rain." So Ahab went off to eat and drink, but Elijah climbed to the top of Carmel, bent down to the ground and put his face between his knees.(NIV)


You remember this wonderful account in the Bible.

It hadn't rained in the land for three years and six months. Elijah walked up to Ahab King of Israel and said "Go, eat and drink, for there is the sound of a heavy rain." That was a prophecy by Elijah. But He didn't go with Ahab to eat and drink. Instead the Bible says "Elijah climbed to the top of Carmel, bent down to the ground and put his face between his knees." What was he doing? Praying his prophecy to reality.


You would hear some people complain and say 'I received a prophecy that I would get the job, but it didn't happen.' You would hear another say 'it was prophesied that I would get married two years ago but it didn't come to pass.'


Whether you received a prophecy by yourself or someone's else gave you a prophecy by the Spirit of God, it's important that you understand that some prophecies are prayer points. You have a responsibility to pray them to reality. You have to pray and prophesy the prophecy.


When you receive a prophecy don't fold your arms and look around for what next would happen, you might not like what would happen next. 

When there is a prophecy concerning things that would happen for your good in the future there are contentions against it. And it's left for you to use the prophecy to fight the battle well.


Remember what Apostle Paul said to Timothy!

1 Timothy 1:18 Timothy, my son, I am giving you this command in keeping with the prophecies once made about you, so that by recalling them you may fight the battle well,

Hallelujah!


PRAYER


I bring to mind today the prophecies given concerning me, by them I fight the battle well. I call them forth to fulfillment; the prophecies concerning my ministry, family, business, marriage, careers, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

(NIV) The Apostle Paul writing to the Church in Philippi, said they should rejoice in the Lord always. He didn't say they should rejoice in themselves but in the Lord. Chapter 2 Episode 2 LOVE FULFILS THE LAW Romans 13:8-10 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.
