WE TRUST IS IN HIS NAME

Psalms 20:7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. (NIV)

In this world different people have what they rely on. Some trust in their influence, some in their riches, some their parents, some their bosses, others their political power or position. As Christians our trust is in the Name of the Lord Jesus. 

When we say we trust in His Name is not the same as having faith in His Name. Having faith in His name means whenever we use His Name its works. But trusting in His Name is trusting in His influence, power, presence, glory, grace and everything His Name represents.

It is like when you come into a meeting in the name of the governor of your state. He sends you, you come in His Name. You are accorded the respect, privilege and honour that is due him. You are receiving his dues because you came in his name. 

We do not only trust in the power of God's name but we also live in His stead. All that is due His name is named upon us. We are bearers of His Name and receives the blessings thereof. 
When trouble surface some would trust in the arm of flesh; their influence, affluence, wealth and political power. But our trust in the Name of the Lord. We are delivered from trouble because of His Name. We may struggle but will always rise and stand firm in His Name.
Psalms 20:7-8 Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm.

CONFESSION

I am called by the Name of the Lord Jesus. His Name is named upon me and my life is for His Glory. My trust is continually in the Name of the Lord Jesus. In His Name I rise above every opposition triumphantly. Amen.

(NIV) The Apostle Paul writing to the Church in Philippi, said they should rejoice in the Lord always. He didn't say they should rejoice in themselves but in the Lord. That calls for spiritual insight.  It takes spiritual insight to see what we got in the Lord and rejoice. When you are ask to rejoice over something it means that it holds significance and value. Chapter 2 Episode 2 LOVE FULFILS THE LAW Romans 13:8-10 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. The commandments, "You shall not commit adultery," "You shall not murder," "You shall not steal," "You shall not covet," and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: "Love your neighbor as yourself."
