DON'T GIVE UP DOING GOOD

Galatians 6:9-10 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. (NIV)

We are living in a world where doing good doesn't seems to pay. If we would judge by people's attitude towards our good deeds we would become weary. Some people do pay back evil for good. But that shouldn't stop us from doing good. 

The Bible says that we would reap a harvest if we do not give up doing good. And that harvest can only come from God. The harvest of doing good comes from God. It's important we keep this in focus while doing good. The harvest will not come from those you were good to, nor will it come from any man but God. 

If you look to man for harvest for the good deeds you did you would be highly disappointed. This world has records of good being repaid with evil. People turning back to stab those who helped them. People betraying those they ate and drank with. Your motivation to do good shouldn't be man's reward or reciprocation. Do good because you are from God and are good.

Do good to people because you are good. Do good because you have opportunity to do good. Do good because God rewards good. Do good because at the proper you will receive a harvest if you do not give up. Do good especially to the family of believers.

PRAYER

Father I thank You for the privilege and opportunity to do good. I will not be weary or give up to do good. Through your nature in me good is inherent in me. And I give expression to it fully, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

(NIV) The Apostle Paul writing to the Church in Philippi, said they should rejoice in the Lord always. He didn't say they should rejoice in themselves but in the Lord. That calls for spiritual insight.  It takes spiritual insight to see what we got in the Lord and rejoice. When you are ask to rejoice over something it means that it holds significance and value. Chapter 2 Episode 2 LOVE FULFILS THE LAW Romans 13:8-10 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.
