A CHOSEN PEOPLE

1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. (NIV)

If you were among crowd of people and a very prominent public figure calls you out and choose you for something it means you stood out among others and that you are special, and have been given special assignment or responsibility. 

The church is God's chosen and you are an integral part of it. God didn't choose the whole world even though He called the whole world. He chose the church. Is God partial in His choice? No! He sends out the Gospel, the Gospel calls out. Anyone who obeys the Gospel is chosen. And the Bible says the chosen are God's special people.

1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

You are chosen of God, that is, you are set apart unto Him as a Royal Priest, holy nation, special possession, that you should display the works of Him who called you out of darkness unto His marvelous light.

The main reason you are on earth is to display God's work of salvation. Angels cannot do this, it is solely for the Royal Priest. You are to make known God's salvation to men through the teaching and preaching of the Gospel of Christ. You are chosen unto this honourable ministry, fulfilling it is not optional. Give your all into it. 

CONFESSION

I am a chosen person of God, a Royal Priest, a holy nation, God's special possession. I have been called out of darkness unto light, to display, make known and make manifest unto men the work of salvation of the Lord God. Amen.

(NIV) The Apostle Paul writing to the Church in Philippi, said they should rejoice in the Lord always. He didn't say they should rejoice in themselves but in the Lord. Chapter 2 Episode 2 LOVE FULFILS THE LAW Romans 13:8-10 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.
