REJOICING COMES IN THE MORNING
Psalms 30:5 For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. (NIV)
When a person finds himself in the midst of a predicament he thinks he will never come out of it. As God's anger doesn't last even so weeping doesn't. As God's favour lasts a lifetime even so rejoicing that comes after weeping, and morning after night.
There will be a night in one's life. A night of weeping is inevitable, it may come once is a person's life time but it does come. And that time always seems slow but the Bible says that rejoicing always precede it in the morning.
There are some reasons why some people's night time last a long time. And then it seems their rejoicing may never come in the morning. One of the reasons is doing the same thing the same way over a cause of time. If your night must change to morning you've got to change your approach.
Another reason is that some do not hold on to the word of God for a long time. When they receive the word they believe and are hopeful but when weeping is staying longer than they expected they shrink back on the word. Never lose faith in the word of God, though it tarry it will not delay. It will surely come to pass.
Hebrews 10:37-39 For, "In just a little while, he who is coming will come and will not delay." And, "But my righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back." But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved.
As you hold on to the word joy will come in the morning. It makes no difference how long your night has stayed and how long the weeping may have been, your rejoicing is here. Hallelujah!
PRAYER
Father I am grateful that your Word is ever true and dependable. It doesn't matter how long my night has stayed and how long weeping has been. I know that my morning is here and it comes with rejoicing, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
