RESPOND TO GOD

1 Samuel 3:9-10 So Eli told Samuel, "Go and lie down, and if he calls you, say, ’Speak, LORD, for your servant is listening.’" So Samuel went and lay down in his place. The LORD came and stood there, calling as at the other times, "Samuel! Samuel!" Then Samuel said, "Speak, for your servant is listening." (NIV)

The young boy Samuel had not yet learned to respond to God. God called him three times and those times he went to Eli his master supposing he called him. Eli had to teach him how to respond to God. Then God called the fourth time "Samuel! Samuel!" And Samuel responded, "Speak, for your servant is listening."

The Christian life is lived by responding to God. God talks to you by His Word and you have to respond to Him by speaking in agreement with His Word. When you respond to God's Word you respond to God. Some want to hear God outside His word but that's not possible. God revealed Himself by the Word (Jesus) and His ways and character by His words. You can only find and relate with God in His Word. 

If you heard God's voice audibly you won't understand it unless you know His Word. God speaks to His children all the time but only those who knows the Word responds to Him. The manifestation of His word in your life depends on your response. Learn to respond to His word. 

When you hear His word, speak in consent. If He said 'you are healed', then say 'I am healed.' 
Hebrews 13:5-6 ...because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?"

CONFESSION

I am a product of God's Word and therefore I live in and by the Word. I live in the light of all that God has said concerning me, bringing the word to reality in my life, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

(NIV) The Apostle Paul writing to the Church in Philippi, said they should rejoice in the Lord always. He didn't say they should rejoice in themselves but in the Lord. That calls for spiritual insight.  It takes spiritual insight to see what we got in the Lord and rejoice. When you are ask to rejoice over something it means that it holds significance and value. Chapter 2 Episode 2 LOVE FULFILS THE LAW Romans 13:8-10 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. The commandments, "You shall not commit adultery," "You shall not murder," "You shall not steal," "You shall not covet," and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: "Love your neighbor as yourself."
