DON'T BE SUBJECT TO EVIL RULES

Colossians 2:22 These rules, which have to do with things that are all destined to perish with use, are based on merely human commands and teachings. (NIV)

There are people who believe that if you wash your hands with warm water money would no longer stay in your hands. Among tribes, ethnics and people you would find many human rules, commands and teachings that sounds true but are not at all. Don't be subject to such rules. The Bible says "They are based on merely human commands and teachings."

Don't live your life in subjection to the rules and rudiments of men. They may appear to be true or wise but they makes one slave and unproductive. Don't find yourself running your life under the teachings or principles lay down by mere men; they are actually evil rules. 

Such rules and regulations may have appearance of wisdom. But it's not.
Colossians 2:23 Such regulations indeed have an appearance of wisdom, with their self-imposed worship, their false humility and their harsh treatment of the body, but they lack any value in restraining sensual indulgence.

Another aspect of these rules is self-imposed worship (decision to worship the moon, star, sun or idol), false humility (submission to these things they worship), and their harsh treatment of the body (to atone for their sins). But these do not have any value in restraining sensual indulgence (cannot stop one from being influenced or ruled by the senses, the flesh). 

It is only by living according to the Word of God that one can truly live, and live beyond the influence of the flesh and rudiments of men.

CONFESSION

I refuse to be subject to rules, commands and teachings of men which enslaves and impoverish. I set my heart on the Word that gives freedom, to live in and live by, thereby producing results lasting to eternal life. Amen Hallelujah!

(NIV) The Apostle Paul writing to the Church in Philippi, said they should rejoice in the Lord always. He didn't say they should rejoice in themselves but in the Lord. Chapter 2 Episode 2 LOVE FULFILS THE LAW Romans 13:8-10 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.
