HE'S GRACIOUS AND COMPASSIONATE

Psalms 145:8 The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love. (NIV)

When we do something that should get God angry and attract punishment or disadvantage us He seems to not take notice or record of it. He is slow to anger. He doesn't vent His anger on us as we think He does. He has compassion on us. 

God is not judgmental as we think He is. It is not yet time for judgment. He's gracious and compassionate towards us. 

His graciousness means He does things for us and gives us things we do not deserve. In His grace He gave us His life and nature, making us exactly like Him. His grace gave us everything good. We are saved by Grace and enjoy the benefits and blessings of salvation by His Grace. His Grace means His goodness is turned toward us. 

His compassion seals or secures everything for us. His compassion means He won't allow us go through punishment when we deserve it. He won't allow us to suffer when we deserve to. In His compassion He is tenderhearted toward us and wouldn't let anything harm or hurt us even if we deserve it. 

He is rich in love. This means He cannot be deficient in love. He loves us because He is love. He made us the object of His love. It is His desire, plan, pleasure and responsibility to love us. That's amazing. He invited us to be loved. He called, chose and set you apart to love you. 

PRAYER

Father I am amazed at your grace, compassion and love towards me. You made me the object of your tenderhearted compassion, love and unceasing grace. Your grace is my blessing, your compassion is my security and your love is my provision, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

(NIV) The Apostle Paul writing to the Church in Philippi, said they should rejoice in the Lord always. He didn't say they should rejoice in themselves but in the Lord. That calls for spiritual insight.  It takes spiritual insight to see what we got in the Lord and rejoice. When you are ask to rejoice over something it means that it holds significance and value. Chapter 2 Episode 2 LOVE FULFILS THE LAW Romans 13:8-10 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. The commandments, "You shall not commit adultery," "You shall not murder," "You shall not steal," "You shall not covet," and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: "Love your neighbor as yourself."
