TO LIVE IS CHRIST

Philippians 1:20-21 I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. (NIV)

The expression "To live is Christ" means if I must live it must be to manifest Christ. The Christian has one life, and that is Christ -- Colossians 3:3. A Christian could only and should only give vent to Christ. For a Christian to live is to express Christ.

We are the revealer and manifestation of Christ. To live is to live Christ. Apostle Paul went further to say "whether by life or by death." And what does this mean? It means here on earth it is Christ through me, and hereafter in heaven it will be Christ through me; it is no longer I who live, whether by life or by death Christ is my life and essence.

Let's look at another expression in the above scriptures, Apostle Paul said "...but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body." 
Christ can be exalted, that is, manifested in this your physical body. But you must have sufficient courage to cause that manifestation now and always. It takes faith and courage to manifest Christ. 

Everyone who is born again is Christ but not everyone can say "for to me, to live is Christ -- my daily manifestation is Christ." It takes courage talk and live Christ. 

Lack of courage is not caused by ack of knowledge but one not acting on knowledge. Act on your knowledge of Christ. It's not enough to know, you have to courageously and in faith live everyday like Christ. 

Everyday of your life should be "for to me, to live is Christ; if I must say or do anything it must be Christ living out through me." Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

I have sufficient courage that Christ should be exalted in my physical body. For to me, to live is Christ; to give full expression to Christ, and to die is gain. The life I now live is Christ alive in and through me. He is exalted and glorified through me in this world and hereafter. Amen.

(NIV) The Apostle Paul writing to the Church in Philippi, said they should rejoice in the Lord always. He didn't say they should rejoice in themselves but in the Lord. That calls for spiritual insight.  It takes spiritual insight to see what we got in the Lord and rejoice. When you are ask to rejoice over something it means that it holds significance and value.
