YOUR POSSESSION BUT A FIGHT TO FIGHT

Deuteronomy 7:1 When the LORD your God brings you into the land you are entering to possess and drives out before you many nations —the Hittites, Girgashites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites, seven nations larger and stronger than you — (NIV)

When God brought the Israelites into the land He gave them as possession they found many nations there -- Nations that were larger and stronger than they. 
The land was their possession given them by God yet they had a fight to fight, enemies occupied their possession. 

You may ask, why would an enemy take charge of a possession given to one by God? No possession is without a possessor, at least there would be an illegal possessor. The land was legally the possession of the Israelites but there were illegal possessors in charge. 

Everything the Bible declares to be ours in Christ are truly ours; divine health, prosperity, blessings, great grace and more. But at times there are fights to fight. And the Bible calls it the good fight of the faith.
1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

It says take hold of the eternal life. But haven't we already received eternal life having been born again? It means take hold of the blessings of eternal life and enjoy them. And it takes a good fight of the faith to enjoy the blessings of eternal life. 

One of the blessings of eternal life is divine health. You know it, you believe it yet you feel pains and sickness in your body. It's a fight of faith. When your experience differs from what you believe it is a fight of faith. Divine health is your legal possession but if it is not your vital experience then it's time to fight the good fight of the faith.

The good fight of the faith is a fight to live in the reality of the unsearchable blessings, riches, glory and dominion which Christ has brought you into. If what the Gospel declares to be yours are not your experience put up a fight, a fight of faith.

CONFESSION

All that God says are mine are mine and nothing can cheat me out of it. I drive out every opposition on my path to enjoying the boundless and unsearchable blessings, riches and glories of Christ. I fight the good fight of the faith to stay on course, established, grounded and fully settled, enjoying all that the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus has consummated for me. Amen!
