PUT NO CONFIDENCE IN THE FLESH

Philippians 3:3 For it is we who are the circumcision, we who serve God by his Spirit, who boast in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh — (NIV)

Putting no confidence in the flesh means not replying on who you are, what you have, where you are, what you can do according to your outward self (your flesh), your power or effort. 

In the context of the above scripture the Apostle Paul talked about those who promote the flesh and boast in what they are able to do according to the flesh. They boast in their ability to keep the law; their good deeds. And consequently trust in their self righteousness.
He said he himself had more reasons to boast in what he was able to do according to the law. But he refused to put his confidence in the flesh.

Oh Glory To God! We serve God by His Spirit, not by our flesh. First it means we serve God by the leading of the Spirit. Secondly, it means by the ability of the Spirit. In fact the best way to put it is, "we serve God by the essence of the Spirit." That is, His fullness; His wisdom, His Glory, His Righteousness, His Everything. Hallelujah!

Don't put confidence in yourself or any man. Life is not lived that way. A successful life is lived in the power of the Spirit. You put confidence in the flesh when you rely on a man. You put confidence in the flesh when you rely on yourself. But we put no confidence in the flesh. We serve God by His Spirit.

CONFESSION

I serve God by His Spirit, I boast in Christ Jesus My Lord, and I put no confidence in the flesh; what I am able do, where I am, what I have or any man. Christ is my confidence, my boast. Hallelujah!

WISDOM KEEPS YOU FROM ADULTERY Nothing destroys a man or woman than sexual immorality, and more so adultery. But if you heed to wisdom it will keep you from this.
