DELIGHT YOURSELF IN THE LORD

Psalms 37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. (KJV)

There are people who render service in the church but do not delight in the Lord or what they do in the house of the Lord. Some people carry out their responsibility in the house of the Lord as a duty not as a delight. Learn to take delight, joy and pleasure in what you are privileged to do in the house of God. And most importantly learn to delight yourself in the Lord. 

The Bible says in Psalms 37:4 "Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart."
Be delighted in the Lord; take pleasure and joy in your relationship with the Lord and what He instructs you in His Word to do. That's where the blessing lies. Serving the Lord grudgingly or half-heartedly will not yield much results but if you serve the Lord delightfully He will give you the desires of your heart.

Isaiah 58:14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
If you will ride upon the high places of the earth and be fed with the heritage of Jacob then delighting yourself in the Lord is a-must for you. Don't just serve the Lord; serve the Lord with delight. There is a promise that comes with it.

If you would yield yourself wholeheartedly to the Word and the Spirit of God you will find it easy and natural to delight yourself in the Lord. Mediating on the Word and fellowship with the Holy Spirit is the true answer to delighting oneself in the Lord.

PRAYER

Father I thank You for your infallible Word. As I delight myself in your Word, I receive the desires of my heart. And may your Word and Spirit cause me to ride upon the high places of the earth and to be fed with the heritage of Jacob, in Jesus' Name. Amen!

WISDOM KEEPS YOU FROM ADULTERY Nothing destroys a man or woman than sexual immorality, and more so adultery. But if you heed to wisdom it will keep you from this.
