YOU CAN HAVE A NEW STORY

John 5:8-9 Then Jesus said to him, "Get up! Pick up your mat and walk." At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked. The day on which this took place was a Sabbath, (NIV)

There are some people who have experienced a certain pattern or narrative of life for a long time. They tried many times to change this narrative but no result. They have gotten used to it and have concluded it to be their fate or at least hoping that somehow someday things would change. They take the responsibility of the change they need out of their own hands, and leave it to other people, circumstances or chances. Such was the case with the man who had been an invalid for thirty-eight years.

The Master asked him "do you want to get well?" Instead of answering yes, he began to narrate his painful story. He thought the only way his story could change is to have someone put him into the water once stirred by the Angel. He didn't realize that with Jesus he could have a new story.
John 5:5-6 One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, "Do you want to get well?"
John 5:7 "Sir," the invalid replied, "I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me."

Then Jesus spoke the Word which changed his story forever.
John 5:8-9 Then Jesus said to him, "Get up! Pick up your mat and walk." At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked. The day on which this took place was a Sabbath,

Now you thought everyone would be happy for him that after thirty-eight long years he is back on his feet and walk again like every other person, but no! Not the Jewish leaders. They rather want his story unchanged. There are people who enjoy other people's suffering.
John 5:10-11 and so the Jewish leaders said to the man who had been healed, "It is the Sabbath; the law forbids you to carry your mat." But he replied, "The man who made me well said to me, ’Pick up your mat and walk.’"

When people or circumstances counter God's word concerning you, you must learn to insist and proclaim what the Lord has said concerning you. For there people who never want to see you walk in the light and blessings of God's Word.

CONFESSION

Precious Lord Jesus the Word you have given concerning me is my light and ability to experience a change in my life. Through the efficacy of your word I shall have a new story. I insist on your Word concerning my life, ministry, business, academic and marriage to have tremendous and glorious new story, Amen!

THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM Wisdom will begin to work in and through you and produce results when you fear the Lord. Yes wisdom begin with the fear of the Lord. If you find a person who is not wise in the ways of God you find a person who has no fear of the Lord. Psalms 14:1 The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." (NIV) The Apostle Paul writing to the Church in Philippi, said they should rejoice in the Lord always. He didn't say they should rejoice in themselves but in the Lord. That calls for spiritual insight.  It takes spiritual insight to see what we got in the Lord and rejoice. When you are ask to rejoice over something it means that it holds significance and value. No nobody would ask you to rejoice over something that's not to your advantage. We have everything to our advantage in Christ, and it is our responsibility to recognize them and rejoice.  Looking at your physical environment and, maybe the circumstances of your life you might have reasons to feel bad and dejected. WISDOM DO GOOD We already know that wisdom is known for its deeds. Wisdom is no wisdom if it is not practiced. True wisdom is practicable.  One of the marks of wisdom is good deeds. A wise man does good. It takes loyalty to wisdom (God's Word) to do good. God's Word teaches us to do good. THE WONDERS OF WISDOM chapter 4 episode 1

TURN YOUR EARS TO WISDOM Everyone listens to a voice or voices. Voices comes to one's mind through three main sources. The flesh, satan and God.  The flesh would speak to you based on impulses, emotions and sight. Satan deceitfully speak to people through their flesh, desire and even perversely quoting the Bible. Then God speaks to us through His Word.  None of these voices forces you to listen to or obey it. The flesh cannot force you to listen and obey its voice, satan cannot, and God would not. Listening to any voice that comes to you is a choice. Many voices may come to your ears but you would choose which to turn your ears to you.  You would hear voice of fear, doubt, failing, uncertainty, faith, assurance, victory, riches but deliberately turn your ears to what you want to hear.
