TO WORSHIP AND OBEY GOD

Ecclesiastes 12:13 Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind. (NIV)

The great King Solomon enjoyed the best life had to offer in his days. He denied himself nothing his eyes or heart desired, after everything he still concluded that the whole duty of man is to fear God and obey his commandments. And that tells us something -- life is for God, a successful life is one lived for Him. 

To fear God in our theme verse actually means to reverence and worship God. Our duty on earth is not to try to become something or make a name for ourselves but simply to worship and obey God. If everyone or least every Christian fulfill this purpose the world would be a better place for everyone. Life is from God and for God. Life and existence is His idea and making. You should live only for Him. 

Worship is very important to God. He cannot worship Himself. Angels in heaven worship Him non-stop but the worship of man is different, which the worship offered by Angels cannot substitute. Man was made to worship God; to honour, reverence, praise and put God first.
And obedience to God's Word is just as important. Obeying God's Word keeps you in God's will, and you will have to be in God's will to be a success for the Kingdom. These two are unnegotiable; worship and obedience. 

When God sent Moses to Pharaoh to tell him to let the Israelites go out of Egypt the main reason He gave to Pharaoh was so that they could worship Him.
Exodus 4:22-23 Then say to Pharaoh, ’This is what the LORD says: Israel is my firstborn son, and I told you, "Let my son go, so he may worship me." But you refused to let him go; so I will kill your firstborn son.’"

God even told Pharaoh that He would kill his firstborn son for refusing to let Israel go and worship Him. God actually did kill his firstborn son before Pharaoh released the Israelites to go and worship God. 

This tells us how important worship is to God. Worshipping and obeying God should be the highest priority in your life. To worship and obey Him is your whole duty on earth, everything else revolves around this. Culture yourself, and cultivate a habit of worshipping and obeying God. 

PRAYER

Father I am glad to know that you created me to worship and obey you. It is my privilege, and it is the beauty of my life. To worship and obey you I Iive. And today I yield completely to the Holy Spirit to help and guide me to fulfill this call and duty, in Jesus' Name. Amen!

THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM Wisdom will begin to work in and through you and produce results when you fear the Lord. Yes wisdom begin with the fear of the Lord. (NIV) The Apostle Paul writing to the Church in Philippi, said they should rejoice in the Lord always. He didn't say they should rejoice in themselves but in the Lord. That calls for spiritual insight.  It takes spiritual insight to see what we got in the Lord and rejoice. When you are ask to rejoice over something it means that it holds significance and value. No nobody would ask you to rejoice over something that's not to your advantage. WISDOM DO GOOD We already know that wisdom is known for its deeds. Wisdom is no wisdom if it is not practiced. True wisdom is practicable.  One of the marks of wisdom is good deeds. A wise man does good. It takes loyalty to wisdom (God's Word) to do good. God's Word teaches us to do good. THE WONDERS OF WISDOM chapter 4 episode 1

TURN YOUR EARS TO WISDOM Everyone listens to a voice or voices. Voices comes to one's mind through three main sources. The flesh, satan and God.  The flesh would speak to you based on impulses, emotions and sight. Satan deceitfully speak to people through their flesh, desire and even perversely quoting the Bible. Then God speaks to us through His Word.  None of these voices forces you to listen to or obey it. The flesh cannot force you to listen and obey its voice, satan cannot, and God would not. Listening to any voice that comes to you is a choice. Many voices may come to your ears but you would choose which to turn your ears to you.  You would hear voice of fear, doubt, failing, uncertainty, faith, assurance, victory, riches but deliberately turn your ears to what you want to hear.
