LOVE IS A LAW

John 13:34-35 "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." (NIV)

In our previous article we learnt that faith is a law. Another law, which is actually the only other law for the Christian is love. The law of faith and the law of love is actually the only laws for the Christian. And these two laws are everything. 

Love is a law. The Lord Jesus said so. He calls it a new command. John 13:34-35 "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."

Loving other people most especially believers is unnegotiable. It is a law. If we don't love we break the law. Every people has laws that governs them, without which no one could be held responsible for any wrong. It is law that legalize right or wrong. 
In our Kingdom we are given the command to love. If we don't love we do wrong. Interestingly everything is enveloped in love. And everything you do under the influence of love is faith. Love work by faith, faith work by love.

Romans 13:8-10 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. The commandments, "You shall not commit adultery," "You shall not murder," "You shall not steal," "You shall not covet," and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: "Love your neighbor as yourself." Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

Love is the fulfillment of the law. Love is the law a Christian must abide by. Someone might say "it is difficult to love people who don't appreciate." The problem is not that they don't appreciate but that you are operating on a wrong motive and expectation. Don't expect appreciation from the people you love, just love them because you function under a law that says you must. Love them because God first loved you. 

PRAYER

Precious Father by the help of your Spirit I am continually inspired and empowered to love people. More than and irrespective of what people do or say about me I choose to love them because I function by the law of love. And as I do, carrying out the command of my Lord I also receive the blessings of the Lord. Amen!

THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM Wisdom will begin to work in and through you and produce results when you fear the Lord. Yes wisdom begin with the fear of the Lord. (NIV) The Apostle Paul writing to the Church in Philippi, said they should rejoice in the Lord always. He didn't say they should rejoice in themselves but in the Lord. That calls for spiritual insight.  It takes spiritual insight to see what we got in the Lord and rejoice. When you are ask to rejoice over something it means that it holds significance and value. WISDOM DO GOOD We already know that wisdom is known for its deeds. Wisdom is no wisdom if it is not practiced. True wisdom is practicable.  One of the marks of wisdom is good deeds. THE WONDERS OF WISDOM chapter 4 episode 1

TURN YOUR EARS TO WISDOM Everyone listens to a voice or voices. Voices comes to one's mind through three main sources. The flesh, satan and God.  The flesh would speak to you based on impulses, emotions and sight. Satan deceitfully speak to people through their flesh, desire and even perversely quoting the Bible. Then God speaks to us through His Word.  None of these voices forces you to listen to or obey it. The flesh cannot force you to listen and obey its voice, satan cannot, and God would not. Listening to any voice that comes to you is a choice.
