THE MOST EXCELLENT WAY TO LIVE


1 Corinthians 12:31 Now eagerly desire the greater gifts. And yet I will show you the most excellent way. (NIV)

There are different ways people live their lives and it is based on the different information they have received and imbibed over the years. Some ways may seem good but the most excellent way to live life is love. 

Love is excellent. Living a life of love is the most excellent way to live. Apostle Paul by the Spirit says yet I will show you the most excellent way. Very few people know and live by the most excellent way. Only a life lived in the light of love pleases God. 

The Bible tells us what love is and what it is not in the book of 1 Corinthians 13:1,4-8, and it says "If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away."

Love never fails or passes away. Hence anyone who lives by love will never become irrelevant. Anything we do that is not enveloped in love holds no eternal or Kingdom relevance. Our lives; words and actions must be love motivated and clothed. Otherwise it has no reward or blessing from God.

As Christians we must be willing to live a life of love otherwise our claim to be Christians is questionable. There is only way for us to live; it is the most excellent way. Love is kind and patient, if we are not patient and kind to people we are not living right.

Another way to define love is selflessness. If we are self-centered we can't be a blessing to others. Love only truly and genuinely manifest when we live beyond our self interests and pursuits.

It all starts with the desire to. Apostle Paul says "Now eagerly desire the greater gifts. And yet I will show you the most excellent way." --- 1 Corinthians 12:31

Cultivate and nurture the desire to live life the most excellent way --- love. 

PRAYER

Father I am grateful that you called to live life the way of love; the most excellent way. Through the power of your Word and Spirit I am helped to live life the most excellent way. And through my love way of life many shall be blessed, and praise you and be won over to live life the most excellent way, in Jesus' Name. Amen!

THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM Wisdom will begin to work in and through you and produce results when you fear the Lord. Yes wisdom begin with the fear of the Lord. WISDOM DO GOOD We already know that wisdom is known for its deeds. Wisdom is no wisdom if it is not practiced. True wisdom is practicable.  One of the marks of wisdom is good deeds. A wise man does good. It takes loyalty to wisdom (God's Word) to do good. God's Word teaches us to do good. TURN YOUR EARS TO WISDOM Everyone listens to a voice or voices. Voices comes to one's mind through three main sources. The flesh, satan and God.  The flesh would speak to you based on impulses, emotions and sight. Satan deceitfully speak to people through their flesh, desire and even perversely quoting the Bible. Then God speaks to us through His Word.  None of these voices forces you to listen to or obey it. The flesh cannot force you to listen and obey its voice, satan cannot, and God would not.
