TALK TO THINGS
Mark 11:13-14 Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to find out if it had any fruit. When he reached it, he found nothing but leaves, because it was not the season for figs. Then he said to the tree, "May no one ever eat fruit from you again." And his disciples heard him say it. (NIV)
The Lord Jesus spoke to a tree "May no one ever eat fruit from you again." The tree understood Jesus' words and heeded to what He said. The Lord Jesus not only spoke to people with authority but also talked to diseases, deaf ears, dumb tongue, blind eyes, trees and things. And they all obeyed Him.
One time, hungry He went toward a fig tree, hoping to get fruit from it. But when He found no fruit on it He cursed it to die.
His disciples heard Him, so the next day passing through the same route and seeing the tree withered, Peter spoke up.
Mark 11:20-21 In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots. Peter remembered and said to Jesus, "Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered!"
Jesus' response to Peter was sublime. He let them know they could talk not only to the tree but even to mountain and it shall obey them. We can talk to things and have them respond to our words.
Mark 11:22-23 "Have faith in God," Jesus answered. "Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ’Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.
The key is believing that what you say would happen, it will be done for you. Practise talking to things. Start with the things in your house. If your TV had a fault, tell it to function perfectly. If your car broke down tell it to get back on the road. You will see your words come to pass, and it will inspire faith in you to talk to bigger things and circumstances.
PRAYER
Father I acknowledge that you have anointed my tongue. And that my words are not ordinary. My words are inspired and empowered by the Holy Spirit, as I speak to things and circumstances in your Name may the power of your Name bring my words to pass. Like the very words of Jesus my words produce the exact results of what I say, Amen!
