PRAYER IS THE ANSWER

Acts 12:4-5 After arresting him, he put him in prison, handing him over to be guarded by four squads of four soldiers each. Herod intended to bring him out for public trial after the Passover. So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him. (NIV)

We will draw a lesson and exposition from the account Peter's arrest and the church's reaction to it. Peter was arrested and put in prison by king Herod, he intended to bring him out after the Passover for trial and then execute him. But the church had an answer to his plan, and it was prayer. The Bible says "...but the church was earnestly praying to God for him."

Before king Herod arrested Peter he had arrested James and have him killed. He succeeded to kill him because the church didn't pray. The church learned their lesson, so when he arrested Peter they resolved to prayer.
Acts 12:1-3 It was about this time that King Herod arrested some who belonged to the church, intending to persecute them. He had James, the brother of John, put to death with the sword. When he saw that this met with approval among the Jews, he proceeded to seize Peter also. This happened during the Festival of Unleavened Bread.

He arrested Peter and put him in prison, hoping to execute him as he executed James. But the church prayed to God without ceasing. And then something happened the night before Herod was to bring Peter to trial.
Acts 12:6-11 The night before Herod was to bring him to trial, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and sentries stood guard at the entrance. Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him up. "Quick, get up!" he said, and the chains fell off Peter’s wrists. Then the angel said to him, "Put on your clothes and sandals." And Peter did so. "Wrap your cloak around you and follow me," the angel told him. Peter followed him out of the prison, but he had no idea that what the angel was doing was really happening; he thought he was seeing a vision. They passed the first and second guards and came to the iron gate leading to the city. It opened for them by itself, and they went through it. When they had walked the length of one street, suddenly the angel left him. Then Peter came to himself and said, "Now I know without a doubt that the Lord has sent his angel and rescued me from Herod’s clutches and from everything the Jewish people were hoping would happen."
What a glorious miracle! And it was because the church prayed.

Prayer is the answer to the miracle you need. It doesn't matter what the challenge might be, prayer is the answer. Who would have thought that prayer alone could deliver Peter out of such a prison guarded by many soldiers? But it happened. Your case or challenge is no difference, you can have a miracle if you would pray.
I don't know what it is you want to change but I know the answer --- prayer.

PRAYER

I decree positive challenges in my family, I declare victory in all my challenges. I ask Lord that greater doors of opportunities be opened to me, and that your power open every closed door. Through the help of your Spirit I walk in peace, prosperity and productivity evermore, in Jesus' Name. Amen!
