REFUSE TO BE WEAK
Psalms 84:6-7 As they pass through the Valley of Baka, they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with pools. They go from strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion. (NIV)
The journey through this world could be tedious but we have an inner strength. The word translated baka actually means weeping. The Amplified translation makes it clearer. Let's read from the Amplified translation. Psalms 84:6-7 Passing through the Valley of Weeping (Baca), they make it a place of springs; the early rain also fills [the pools] with blessings. They go from strength to strength [increasing in victorious power]; each of them appears before God in Zion.
Til we appear before God in Zion we may go through tough times in the course of our journey. There may be valley of baka (weeping) to go through but we are not going to weep there. There may be situations and circumstances that tends to sap strength but we are not going to be weak. Rather we will go from strength to strength until we appear before God in Zion.
You will notice in our theme scripture that it says "Passing through the Valley of Weeping (Baca), they make it a place of springs...."
The valley was dried without water but they made it a place of springs, they caused water to come forth. Instead of getting weak and weep because of the dry valley you may have found yourself cause water to come forth from it.
Refuse to be weak. All the men and women of faith that ever walked this earth had tough times but they refused to be weak, on the contrary they went from strength to strength, increasing in victorious power til they appeared before God in Zion. Let's take father Abraham as an example. The Bible says without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact.... Let's read it. Romans 4:19-21 Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead —since he was about a hundred years old —and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.
He was strengthened in his faith. That's opposite of being weakened in faith. Refuse to be weak, irrespective of what you face. Face the fact but don't let the fact control or weaken your faith. Tough times would come but hold on to your faith. Maintain your ground and confession. Keep affirming the Word, knowing fully well that God is able to do what He promised. Hallelujah!
CONFESSION
Through the Word and by the Spirit of God I go from strength to strength til I appear before God in Zion. My faith is strengthened continually, for I am fully persuaded that God has power to perform what He says in His Word concerning me, in Jesus' Name. Amen!
