AN ODOUR OF A SWEET SMELL

Philippians 4:18 But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God. (KJV)

In the old testament they would burn animals as sacrifice to God, as it burnt the smoke and smell would ascended. That smell was pleasant, and it indicated that a sacrifice had been offered. 

However, in the new testament we don't burn animals. Our sacrifices are different. One of our sacrifices is giving. Giving is a sacrifice. Apostle Paul said the gifts he received from the Philippian church was an acceptable sacrifice with an odour of a sweet smell, well pleasing to God. 

There are odour of a bad smell but our giving to the work of God and to servants of God are odour of a sweet smell. Think about a nice smelling fragrance in your house, when anyone comes in they love the smell and feel comfortable. Our givings represents us before God as sweet smelling fragrance. As it smells before God so it reflects in our lives. The sweet smelling odour of our givings curry our lives with favour, grace and love. Such that we carry it everywhere and are blessed, favoured, accepted and productive everywhere. 

We are the pleasing aroma of Christ, and our giving magnifies and intensifies the smell.
2 Corinthians 2:14-15 But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere. For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.

You are the pleasing aroma of Christ, smelling everywhere with His beauty, grace, life and glory. Deliberately increase this aroma in your life by giving to the work of the Kingdom consistently. Apostle Paul said that our giving is an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Father I am grateful for the privilege to give for the work of God, and that my givings are odour of sweet smell, an acceptable sacrifice to You, wellpleasing. From today I am dedicated to give more and increase the aroma of Christ in my life, and filling your presence with the fragrance of my gifts, a pleasing and acceptable sacrifice to you, in Jesus' Name. Amen!

Chapter two INSPIRATION Another thing you will find on your way to the Top is inspiration. Inspiration means an arousal or being stir up from within to take an action or embark on a course. If you don't have it getting to the Top is impossible. You will rely on inspiration to go higher and higher in life.
