Chapter 2 ON YOUR WAY TO THE TOP

Chapter two
INSPIRATION

Another thing you will find on your way to the Top is inspiration. Inspiration means an arousal or being stir up from within to take an action or embark on a course. If you don't have it getting to the Top is impossible. You will rely on inspiration to go higher and higher in life.

If you are not inspired or stirred up from within to be about anything don't venture into it, it might fail. If you are not inspired to get to the Top in your endeavor, career or profession you may never get there. Whatever you do and wherever you go never leave inspiration behind, if you do you may get stranded on your way. Inspiration pushes you to continue even inspite of challenges. If everything else leaves you and inspiration stays everything else would come back, because nothing and no one goes far without inspiration. It's just a matter of time they will come back. Your success on your way to the Top is tied to inspiration, you may stop succeeding if you stop being inspired. Don't undermine the power of inspiration. 

When we say getting to the Top it means being the best in your field of endeavor. If you are a teacher get to the Top of that field, be the best and the example to emulate. That's what we are talking. And if you lack inspiration you can't get there. 
If you are not inspired to teach and impact your students then you can't give them your best. If you can't give them your best you are certainly not the best teacher around, not a good example to follow. Inspiration makes your job a delight, without which it is a duty. 

FIND INSPIRATION
If you want to be the best in whatever you do find inspiration for it. When you find inspiration for what you do it won't be difficult to get other things going that would propel you to the Top. Inspiration brings other things together. Inspiration is an atmosphere; a conducive one for other things you will require to get to the Top. When are you inspired and ecstatic it influences, those around you are likely to join you. Keep inspiration close, other good things will come close naturally. 

If you are not inspired about what you do you have to deliberately look for inspiration for it or find other things to do that you have inspiration for. Deliberately find things to inspire you. It might be listening to a good music, spending time with friends, playing games, watching your favourite show or movie, reading Christian books, listening to Christian messages, recalling old good memories. And the most important thing is fellowship with the Holy and fellowship with the brethren; it is the best way to get inspired. If you go Church service and you are not inspired you have a problem or there is a problem with the setting of that church. A child of God should find inspiration in the house of God. If you don't find inspiration in the church there is a problem. 
When you find inspiration do well to hold on to it. You will need it on your journey to the Top. 

Inspiration is motivation. You are motivated when you are inspired. Inspiration also empowers. Inspiration makes you bold and courageous. When you are inspired you see more of possibility than impossibility, more of positive than negative, more of victory than defeat, more of success than failure, more of God than man. Be inspired! Anyone who is not inspired expires no matter how gifted he or she might be. Inspiration spurs gift. 

If you were the most gifted or talented in your field of endeavor you may remain hidden and unknown, and unappreciated if you are not inspired to get to the Top. Inspiration brings an anointed man to the spotlight. If you are not inspired you will not be bold and courageous enough to come out in the open even if you were super-anointed.
This world has records of potentially great people who never became great. It has records of people who were so gifted and talented in their field of endeavor but never get to the Top or get known. One of their hindrances is lack of inspiration. If you are not inspired you can't bring out the best in you. Great talent is not enough, it requires great inspiration.

Ironically there are people whom their great inspiration has taken to the Top but has nothing to offer at the Top, they just sit there and enjoy the good things at the Top. But their crash is inevitable, it's just a matter of time. If your inspiration takes you to a height that you don't have what it takes to sustain it takes time to bring you down. If you are inspired about something, be inspired about what you can offer. If you occupy a position that you are not due for, in due time you will vacate it. When you are in pursuit of something pursue what you can handle. 

YOU NEED AN INSPIRING PERSON
One of the requirements to finding inspiration is finding an inspiring person. One inspiring person is more than ten uninspiring people. Don't surround yourself with people who talk you down. If you observe carefully, those who talk you down are down themselves, so don't expect them to talk you up. Be careful about people with whom you share your dreams, not everyone has dream. Some people are going nowhere, so when you tell them you are going somewhere they are confused. Such people cannot inspire you. 
One inspiring person is enough. It could be your Mother, Father, Sibling, Wife, Child or Friend. When you find such a person who inspires and encourages you to go on with your dream and good course to get to the Top, don't let them ever go from you. Hold them in the highest regard, they are fuel for your journey to the Top. 

Be stirred, be aflamed, be inspired to go higher. Learn to see higher from where you are. Inspiration comes with vision. You are inspired because of what you see, and you see because you are inspired, the two goes together. Those who lack them live for today, those who have them live beyond today. 

Inspiration means being stirred up from within. So every so often listen from within you. Find inspiration from within; get stirred up and afire from your spirit, then speak forth and go forth into action. 
When your inspiration becomes so high then you need definition; a definition of your way to the Top.
