YOUR MINISTRY IS BEYOND YOU

Colossians 4:17 And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it. (KJV)

Every Christian has received a ministry from the Lord; you have a ministry. Your life itself is a ministry, because ministry is sharing the love and life of Christ. Maybe you are a prayer leader in your church or any other aspect of church work, you don't decide on your own how to run it. No! You received the ministry it doesn't belong to you.

In Apostle Paul's writing to the church he said "And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it." -- Colossians 4:17
If it was his own ministry Apostle Paul wouldn't have demanded that he fulfill it. He received the ministry from the Lord, it belongs to the Lord Jesus, he cannot decide whether or not to fulfill it. It is required of him to fulfill it. Your ministry is beyond you.

Your ministry is beyond you so you can't decide to stop or handle it your own way. Your ministry is someone else's idea you can't run it as you deem fit. You receive instructions from Him and you are accountable to Him. You are only a steward of your ministry. It's beyond you.

Ministry has to do with the working of the Holy Spirit in your spirit and through your spirit to the world, you are not aware of everything He does in and through you nor are you in control of everything. You and your ministry is God's idea. You cannot be bigger than your ministry or the One who gave it to you.

What we do in ministry is beyond us; when we teach and minister the results are beyond us. Someone works behind the scene, there is an unseen Person (the Holy Spirit) working things out in comformity with His perfect plan and purpose. 

CONFESSION

Dear Holy Spirit I realize that the ministry I have is from you. It is your design and delight, I cannot decide on how to run it or what to make of it. You have been working in and through me both to will and to act of your good pleasure, and you continue, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Chapter two INSPIRATION Another thing you will find on your way to the Top is inspiration. Inspiration means an arousal or being stir up from within to take an action or embark on a course. If you don't have it getting to the Top is impossible. You will rely on inspiration to go higher and higher in life. If you are not inspired or stirred up from within to be about anything don't venture into it, it might fail. If you are not inspired to get to the Top in your endeavor, career or profession you may never get there. Whatever you do and wherever you go never leave inspiration behind, if you do you may get stranded on your way. Inspiration pushes you to continue even inspite of challenges.
